[Sword of Misery is an item that cannot be dropped. Sensing that it is no longer with the user. Returning to user's hands.]

A notification that Jake heard made him smile.

As the Gorilla lunged on him, he felt his hands hold on to something solid. And the gorilla was in too deep.

It was in the air, and it couldn't change its direction any more.

"Sword of Hunger!"

Jake's sword shone, and this time, the shine was different. It was a yellow shine, with a brown hint to it. There were sparks of brown everywhere, and for some reason, as Jake swung this sword down, his stomach yearned for something.

It was yearning for food, and Jake could feel real hunger. It was a little too realistic.

And the sword came crashing on a gorilla that had its hands stretched out because it didn't expect Jake to suddenly have a sword return to his hands.

And it certainly didn't expect it to be the one that it knocked out of Jake's hand a few moments ago.

The Gorilla's eyes grew wide open as Jake's sword came striking down. It cut cleanly into the Gorilla's skin without any problem. The without any defense, the evil beast took more damage than usual.

In fact, Jake felt like what he did was the strongest attack that he ever executed so far in this new life.

[Critical Hit!]

[Vital Blow!]

[Extra Damage!]

[-25000 HP]

Jake raised his eyebrows as he looked at the new tags that came up with this attack. Tags that meant that the beast that was huge enough to crush him as it was about to fall on him, was dead?

And as the Gorilla was about to fall upon Jake like it intended to, the body of the beast started pixelating.

A pity that as it died, it left absolutely nothing in its wake. There was not a single item that dropped, and that was the disappointing result that Jake had come to expect when he came to the Evil Lands.

As the gorilla fell, Jake looked in the direction that he was about to go through.

"Alright. Now that they are actively stopping me, this has to be the right direction. What I am doing seems to be the right thing." Jake smiled and told himself.

,m He looked around, but he could not see a silver glint anywhere though.

"That's a pity. A silver coin wasted forever. I guess I will have to take out another one." Jake sighed as he took out a silver coin from his inventory.

A silver coin wasn't much in comparison with what he owned, but if he was so wasteful, then all of that money would slowly disappear eventually.

He got his sword ready, coin in his other hand, as he started walking forward.

The path let to a much sharper curve that could only mean that he was slowly getting to the center.

The diameter of the circle that he was in from the center, was probably around a dozen meters at best.

He had done a lot of walking, and in a pretty short time, he was crossing some serious ground.

"I do hope that there are other people in this labyrinth other than me. I can't do this on my own." Jake sighed as he hoped, looking up in the sky.

Of course, looking at the sky was useless. Even if there was a god of light listening to him, this was the area of the Evil God, who would only do his best to make sure that what Jake wanted wouldn't happen.

"Where is Father Joseph? He has to have finished the path of saints the very first. After all, he is the strongest of us all." Jake thought to himself.

Ever since the glow up that Father Joseph had though, he felt different. He felt more carefree, in a way, like he was enjoying the little moments that he had.

It was like he was preparing for defeat, even though he seemed to be much stronger than before.

"This is not the time to be thinking about that. All of that is just speculation." Jake told himself.

He looked forward, and conveniently, another cross road appeared.

There was one that led to the right and one that led to the left.

Again, two, which surprised Jake actually. Conveniently, all of the turns till now were twos, and not threes.

"Just my luck I guess." Jake chuckled.

This time, though, the two turns were a cross roads that Jake thought about. Going right meant that he could just go much further into the labyrinth, maybe even get to where he needed.

Meanwhile, going left, that would mean that he would go away from the labyrinth, and that was counterintuitive.

"Alright. The coin guided me well so far, and it makes absolutely no sense for me not to listen to what it tells me to go. Heads to go right." Jake twirled the coin up in the air.

It landed in Jake's left palm, the head of the knight shining a little, which was surprising in this terrible lighting.

"Guess even god wants me to go right. Right I shall go." Jake smiled.

He felt like what he was doing, he was doing right. Until now, he only went up against one beast, and following the coin seemed like a safe bet.

Jake turned right, and as he took a few steps, he heard a sound. The sound of leaves crackling as they were being crushed.

He turned around to see that all of a sudden, there was a dead end there. He couldn't leave this path that he had taken.

Looking forward, he could hear another sound.

"Someone is coming." Jake's face turned serious as he took out his sword, looking at the turning that the sound was coming from.

Someone was coming from the sharp curve that wasn't visible to Jake. He didn't know who, as usual.
