''Hmm...'' Darth tapped his chin in a rhythmic manner.
Isaac scratched his cheek with pursed lips.
They were standing in front of the five paths, with five different symbols gazing on them.
''I think... Fourth would be a safe choice, right?'' Darth said with a shrug.
''I think it's far from safe,'' Isaac said with a wry smile.
''It has an Archer... I am an Archer; it might be something Archer related.'' Darth said with some uncertainty.
''What if you have to shoot the moon down.'' Isaac pointed at the symbol, and finally, Darth saw the Archer pointing the bow towards the large sphere in the sky.
''T-That's...'' Darth sighed and scratched his head with frustration. They have been trying to decide which path to choose for 10 minutes already.
He was feeling impatient because others had probably caught up already or even passed them!
But, his nerves calmed down after seeing Isaac's calm expression.
''I think the first path is to search for something.'' Isaac said with some uncertainty, his tone alone told his unconfidence, ''I think that is quite difficult.''
Darth nodded and looked towards the second path, ''The second one is... No fucking clue.'' He sighed with frustration and struck the wall next to him.
''Calm down,'' Isaac said with a calm tone that instantly made Darth feel more relaxed.
''The second path is probably a spotting test.'' Isaac guessed.
''Spotting?'' Darth tilted his head.
''Maybe we need to like to find where a nest of a bird is in the middle of a forest, like that kind of test.''
''That sounds difficult and annoying,'' Darth said with a grim face.
Isaac nodded, ''Yeah, let's not choose that one.''
Their gazes got locked at the third symbol.
''Hide and seek?'' Darth instantly guessed.
Isaac nodded, ''Most likely, that seems... Not too hard.''
Darth then pointed at the fifth symbol that showed a man throwing a ball-like item.
''Doesn't that resemble baseball, which is a quite popular sport in Summerland?'' Darth said. He and his parents are huge fans of different sports, and he has seen quite many baseball matches.
''Hmm...'' Isaac shrugged, ''It can mean anything honestly, and I am not feeling very confident about it.''
''So...'' Darth looked at the third path and said, ''Third it is?''
Isaac shook his head and said with a frustrated tone, ''No... This decision will be important; let's think longer.''
''Everyone is getting ahead of us.'' Darth reminded.
''Impatience is the biggest flaw in greediness.''Isaac glanced at the dark paths and continued, ''I think 90% of Players will be eliminated because they couldn't wait and was too impatient to continue.''
''Then should we split up?'' Darth suggested, ''If even one will survive till the end of the Duo Dungeon, both will get same rewards, and the Death Penalty will be removed.''
''It's risky... What if it is a test like the previous one? This is called Duo Dungeon, after all.''
Their talk once again returned to the start. Neither of them could decide where to go.
Darth felt his heart racing as he thought about other Players already entering the second test, or maybe some of them had already completed it!
Isaac looked calm, but he was quite nervous as well. This decision is vital and completely different from the first decision.
The first decision was a gamble, and he wasn't sure did they choose well or not, but now they knew what kind of tests there might be ahead of them.
If they rush things and choose randomly. If they end up failing, they can only blame themselves, but if they think too long and end up not getting the First Clear, the blame will lie on them not being able to make decisions quick enough.
Darth's hands trembled as he looked at the fourth path. He would just want to continue, but he knows the seriousness of this decision as well.
Finally, Isaac opened his mouth, ''Let's go to the fourth path.''
Darth snapped his head towards Isaac with a surprised gaze, ''Are you sure?''
Isaac kept snapping his fingers, which caused calm and rhythmical sounds to echo in the pathways.
''I think first, second and third paths are traps.'' He said with a frown, ''Each one of those paths has one theme in common... Searching.''
Darth nodded and looked at the fourth and fifth paths.
''What is different about these two? What if they are traps instead?''
Isaac shook his head and sighed with resignation, ''I don't know... I can only guess that there are two right paths because game developers wanted the Duo's to start arguing which path to take, but that is only a guess... If I had more time, then I could find it out, but we don't have time.''
Darth nodded and then asked one last time, ''Why fourth and not fifth?''
Isaac looked at the fifth path's symbol and started slowly walking towards the fourth path, ''If fifth has something throwing related... I am afraid that I won't do well on it.''
Darth looked curious and followed behind Isaac at the entrance of the fourth path.
A cold wind tickled their faces as they stood in front of the path with edgy looks. The pathway was completely dark, which made it impossible for Isaac to see anything.
Isaac took a glance at the symbol one last time, and he hoped that this choice wasn't the wrong one.
Darth patted his shoulder and said, ''If we fail, I won't blame you.''
Isaac sighed. Those words didn't make him feel any better; instead, he became more nervous.
''No regrets, I guess,'' Isaac said and took a decisive step forwards.
Darth followed him, and soon both of their bodies were inside the pathway, embraced by the limitless darkness.
Soon, a rumbling sound came behind them, and the entrance of the pathway was blocked by a large earth wall.
Darth touched the wall and felt his hand becoming numb and stiff.
''Cold!'' He cried out and instantly pulled his hand back.
Isaac narrowed his eyes, and he thought he saw a light coming from the end of the pathway.
''What is that....'' Isaac murmured, but soon his face turned into shock!
