Chapter 584 The Tournament of Champions - First Round (10)
''W-We need to inform everyone that Lady Evelyn was kidnapped!'' A several handsome idols gathered in a closed room. They disappeared from the meeting which Jupiter arranged after the battle between the Inquisitor, and Evelyn.
''B-But, it is the government...''
''Doesn't matter. Are you just going to let our lovely Evelyn get thrown into some dirty prison?''
''Never!''
''Then, it's settled.'' One of the idols reached into their pockets, and pulled their phones. They entered a chat group for Evelyn's diehard fans. They knew that there were many crazy people in it, and some of them were living in the same city.
They thought that by living in the same city, they were inhaling the same air as Evelyn, making them feel endless surges of pleasure. They were basically inhumane weirdos.
After sending their messages, the idols nodded, and returned to the arranged meeting. Jupiter discussed about the company's future.

Jason drove a black-colored car through the deserted streets. Everyone had retreated to their homes to watch the tournament of champions. At the backseat, Evelyn slept soundlessly while all her wounds were gone, but the blood stains still dirtied her beautiful face.
Green, yellow, red. The stoplight turned red as Jason slowly stopped the car. However, seeing the empty streets just made him frown with displeasure.
Vroom... A car stopped beside him. The windows were darkened, and the car's engine roared loudly.
''Hmm?'' Jason turned towards the car with a frown. However, seeing no activity from the car, he turned his attention back to the stoplight.
However, as soon as he did, the darkened window slowly opened, revealing three armed men!
Ratatatatatatata... They opened fire with their machine guns, breaking through the cars' doors like they were made of Swiss cheese.
The bullets riddled Jason's figure as half of his face got blown away. The door behind him flew out of it's hinges, causing him to fall to the pavement. His blood painted the ground in red.
''Ugh...'' Jason reached into his inventory, and clumsily dropped the healing potion. The liquid flowed down the pavement as he licked the liquid, hoping for it to work. Soon, his face restored alongside rest of his body.
''Haaah...''
The armored men left their vehicle, and opened the backdoor. Seeing bloodied Evelyn made them angry after someone had touched their beloved goddess.
''You, go kill that bastard.''
A masked man nodded, and reloaded his weapon before circling around the car. He saw bloodied man, lying on the ground without moving.
''Hmph, this is what you get.'' Moving the gun into a shooting stance, his finger touched the trigger. However, at that moment, Jason jumped to his feet, and smacked the gun out of his hands.
''Ah, he is aliv--'' His shout got interrupted by Jason's fist. The single punch broke his skull, causing his brain to explode into mush.
''Damn!'' After placing Evelyn in their backseat, they noticed their friend dying before their eyes. With hateful gaze, they started firing their weapons. Ratatatata.
Jason jumped to the safety, behind his car. He pulled out his two-barrel shotgun from his inventory, and shot through destroyed car windows. Bang. The shotgun shell landed on the waist of one of the men, causing half of his torso get blown away!
''NO!'' The last man standing screamed as his friend fell to the ground, no light in his eyes. As the last one standing, he gritted his teeth hatefully, and tried to run towards the driver's seat.
Bang. But then, a loud bang echoed from the side. A shotgun shell landed on his face, causing his head to blown away in brilliant shower of blood.
His body lifelessly fell to the ground.
''Fuckers.'' Jason reloaded the shotgun, and kicked his car out of the way. He stomped to the backseat, and ripped the door off. However, then he came face-to-face with Evelyn, and a hand pistol.
The armored man had removed her handcuffs, and unfortunately, the healing potion's effect wore off.
''Look what I found!'' Evelyn grinned, and pulled the trigger. Bang. The bullet landed in the middle of Jason's eyes.
Jason staggered backward with a bloodied face before falling flat on his back.
Evelyn stepped out of the car while looking at the corpses littering the ground. Her face showed disgust, ''Disgusting...''
The people, who helped her to escape, lay on the ground as dead. However, in Evelyn's opinion, they were disgusting mongrels.
''Y-You...'' Jason held his bloodied face as he slowly stood up. His Health Potions had ended.
''You should just die.'' Evelyn held the hand pistol in a firm grip, and pulled the trigger. Bang. Bang. Bang. Each bullet struck Jason in the chest.
''Ugh...'' Coughing mouthfuls of blood, Jason barely managed to stay standing. Staggering side-to-side, he looked like a drunken old man.
Evelyn pulled the trigger. However, could only hear cling. The magazine was empty.
''Tsk, useless.'' After throwing the pistol away, she grabbed Jason by the throat, and smashed him against the wall, ''Mere Inquisitor. Do you not know who I am? I am Lady Evelyn, loved by every living being.''
''Ugh...'' Jason looked straight at Evelyn's eyes with dead coldness, ''L... loved by every living being? That's funny because I don't feel any love.''
''Hmph, that's because you won't be living.'' Increasing the grip, Jason's throat started getting crushed.
''?!'' Jason widened his eyes in panic as all the breath left his lungs. He could feel the walls of his windpipe cracking, and nearly breaking. Death was nearing.
''Die!'' Evelyn screamed and all her strength flowed into her grip. A ordinary person would have died thousand times over. But, Jason was still hanging by a thread.
'As if... I let myself get killed by a whore like this!' Jason's eyes reddened as he grabbed Evelyn's face with his bloodied hands. Using his thumbs, he dug them into her eyes.
''ARGH!'' Evelyn's ear-splitting scream echoed in the deserted streets. She let go of Jason while holding her head. She couldn't see anything. Everything was dark.
''Fucking!'' Jason grabbed her by the throat, and slammed her through the wall. They entered an empty store.
Jason raised Evelyn's screaming figure above him, and then slammed her body into the tiled floor. Crack. A loud crack resounded as Evelyn's neck broke by the impact.
''Haaah... haaah...'' Jason watched as Evelyn couldn't even speak anymore. She was barely staying unconscious. However, she was still going to live, barely.
Jason grabbed her by her hair, and trekked out of the broken wall while dragging the lifeless body behind him. Since he didn't have a car to drive, and there was a three kilometer long walk to the nearby government facility, he had to walk there like this.
''I need a increase of salary...''
