Chapter 468 The Killer

"Wow… This is indeed different from other places." Isaac thought aloud and turned to look at the middle-aged man, "How big is this place?"

"Big…" The middle-aged man laughed while holding his stomach, "Enormous, I think it would take me ten years to walk through the entire City!"

"I see…" Isaac wiped his sweat, "Thanks for the information."

"No problem." The middle-aged man waved his left hand and entered the house. The door closed behind him, and the lights in the living room suddenly lit up.

Isaac went straight to the door, put his hand on the door handle, and tried to open the door. Surprisingly, the door opened, and a fresh view of the brand-new house greeted him.

"Wow…" Isaac entered the house and looked at the freshly painted walls, new furniture, and clean floors.

Bam!

The door closed.

Isaac saw a bowl on top of a cabinet. It had a pair of keys, which seemed to be the key to the house and garage.

He picked them up and stored them in the inventory. Then, he entered the living room, and it looked quite modern.

Except, there wasn't any electric equipment, and the only source of entertainment seemed to be the full bookshelves and several board games on the shelves.

There was a fireplace with several couches and a table made of limestone.

On top of the low table was another bowl with a map and a scrap of paper.

Isaac picked up the paper and opened it.

It was a note that said congratulations for being the first one to arrive on Autumn Realm, and the reward of such achievement was this house.

Everyone else would get spawned in one of the towns and have to find the City alone.

Then, Isaac checked the map, and it showed the enormous City. The map was displayed in a bird-eye view, and all the buildings looked like tiny dots because the City was gigantic!

There were words written "You are here" that told his current position. The neighborhood looked tiny dot on the map, but luckily it was quite close to the center of the City.

There was also another X-mark drawn on the map, which was the location of the Portal that leads to Winter Realm!

"It's not far…" Isaac murmured as he tried to count the distance between him and the portal. It was a few hour-long trip but doable.

'I wonder what test it is… I doubt it's another dungeon.' Isaac murmured and even thought about renting a Carriage. He doubted everyone who drove Carriages was similar to the drivers in Stronglord.

Beep! Beep!

Isaac opened the interface after receiving several messages. They came from Luna, who congratulated him. He answered the messages quickly and then closed the interface.

"Now… I need to get used to this City, and then prepare for my trip to Happylaugh…"

Somewhere in Happylaugh…

"We received the first images of the two assailants of the infamous 'Chain Breaker's Battle'. The images show two relatively young men seemingly arguing." The news anchor said with his stoic tone.

"That photo could have been taken only several moments before the battle had begun. The picture was taken by an elderly person who perished in the fight between the two Chain Breakers. However, her camera somehow stayed intact, and the police managed to retrieve the photo.

"The police must be already aware of their identity, and it will be a matter of time before the victims' relatives get the justice they deserve…"

The TV screen flashed with lights in a dark room. The screen showed the picture and the news anchor speaking with a solemn face.

Opposite the TV, a tired-looking man with dark brown hair and black pupils looked at the screen with his lips slightly curving upward.

"Hahaha…" Almost immediately after laughing, the man covered his mouth with his face turning slightly redder, "Ha… Ha… Ha…"

He was trying to subdue his laughter but couldn't, "Hahahahaha!"

BAM! BAM! BAM!

From the other side of the wall, a loud sound echoed, which came from someone kicking the wall.

"Hmm?" The man's laughter died down, and he frowned while looking at the wall with its paint peeled off. A loud sound was still coming from the next-door apartment, and there was a mix of TV sound, shouting, and loud noises.

"Ugh… shut up…" The man stood up and staggered to the refrigerator with almost bone-like legs. His body was also almost only bones.

He opened the refrigerator door and picked up a bottle of milk. He opened the cork and gulped the liquid down his throat.

After the bottle was empty, he crushed it effortlessly and threw it into the trash bag.

"Arghh…" The man suddenly felt his heart aching, like someone was scratching it!

"What the hell…" He put his palms on the kitchen desk and calmly breathed in and out, trying to stop the unbearable pain.

Cold sweat poured down his dirty skin.

"I never should have played it…" The man turned around with a hateful gaze and looked straight at the Mythical VR Helmet sitting on top of a chair!

"White Online… the place to achieve your dreams… it's all lie!" The man grabbed a glass cup and threw it across the room. It shattered after colliding with the wall.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

The loud noises coming from the neighbor's apartment still hadn't ceased.

"Shut up…" He held his ears and bit his lips, "Legacy… Why did I find that Legacy?"

"I thought it would make me rich… that's what legacies were supposed to do… right?" The man looked at the nearby reflection of his face and asked himself, "Why didn't I become rich? Wasn't my Legacy one of the greatest?"

"Mythical Legacy… I heard someone with that legacy became a multi-millionaire… but… why am I still living in this dump?

"Why am I still poor?"

"WHY!"

This man was the perfect example of how legacy could affect a person. Legacies could make a person evil or good. However, rarely would they completely change the person's personality and make them a whole new person.

However… This person turned from a timid middle-aged man to one of the scariest people in the entire world!

His name… Henry Feather, 38 years old, had no wife, no children, and had been working as a plumber for 15 years.

However, the Legacy turned him from plumber to killer…

His Legacy… Jack The Ripper, Class: Killer!
