Chapter 437 The Final Battle (6)

The entire third floor's floor started shining like it was suddenly coated in soap.

Oliver's legs buckled under him, and he accidentally pulled the trigger.

Bang!

The bullet tore through the air and through Luke's thigh.

"Ahhh!" Luke screamed with frightening pain and fell over with his head crashing on the slippery floor. His pupils turned white, and he lost consciousness with one final breath.

"Damn!" Oliver rubbed the back of his head and tried to stand up, but as his hand touched the slippery floor, he fell over again.

His friends also had difficulties standing up. It was like they were on the ice-skating rink. It looked rather comical when they tried to use each other's bodies to push each other up, just to end up falling over.

"Cough!" Isaac spat out a mouthful of blood and fell to his side. He grimaced and touched his shoulder, which was bleeding. Oliver's shot wasn't perfect. The bullet tore straight through his shoulder blade and caused a big loss of blood.

However, it wasn't lethal. But, doing the spell for the final time caused severe injuries to his body. He didn't know the extent of the damage, but he knew that if he didn't get treatment soon, he would die.

His vision had already started turning foggy—he could barely see Oliver and the rest.

However, his voice screamed inside his mind.

'Stay awake… awake… awake… AWAKE!' The shouts soon turned desperate. Isaac tried to crawl forward but barely had any strength.

Then, his shouts reached his heart and brain. The chains tightly holding onto them began loosening slightly and showed signs of cracking.

Isaac's gray eyes shook with the "o" shaped pupils beginning to change. A snowflake symboled pattern appeared, and an unknown strength began emerging from the depths of his very soul.

A strange, terrifying, and mystifying energy shrouded the entire hospital. The clouds above the Snowstorm cleared up, and the stars in the sky began shining brightly.

The crescent-shaped moon turned blue.

"Hmm?" In a godly palace made of gold and silver, the God of the World of Four Seasons turned his attention toward the tiny city in the distance.

His eyes showed ripples, like a rock landing on the water's surface.

"Someone… had that illness?" God stood up and, with one step, appeared at the edge of the clouds. He could see the clouds clearing up above one city while mystifying energy shrouded the entire world.

"God Illness… Someone else than Adam had it… A descendant of his, perhaps?" The God turned his attention away, and a small smile crept up on his face, "It took Adam a hundred years to break the chains of God's Illness.

"But, it only took 18 years for this kid… what monstrous talent he possesses… the future of Humanity seems bright, heh." The God, with a sincere smile, returned to his palace with a joyful expression.

Inside the hospital.

The chains broke one after another. Isaac tightly grabbed his chest with waves of pain assaulting him. He didn't understand what was happening inside him, but endless waves of pain and strength engulfed him.

"Ahhh!" His distorted scream reverberated through the hospital.

"Argh…" Oliver grabbed the fallen revolver and again aimed at Isaac, "Die, you bastard!"

Isaac's snowflake-patterned pupils reflected the revolver's barrel. Then, he clasped his hands and prayed.

"Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed…"

"Darkness!"

The entire hospital was shrouded in endless fogs of darkness.

The police officers who were about to enter the hospital halted their steps. They thought they were hallucinating, but the dimly lit corridors seemed to be made of darkness!

They couldn't even see the floor, nor the walls of the building!

"What the hell is happening here?" The police captain held his handgun in his right hand and asked with frustration.

Bang!

Then, a loud bang came from the hospital, forcing the police officers to take cover.

Inside the hospital.

Oliver looked around and emptied the revolver's cylinder. However, he couldn't hear his shots hitting anything.

Thud!

Then a sharp pain assaulted the back of his head as his eyes turned white with foam flowing out of his mouth. He fell to the floor with a loss of consciousness.

Isaac lowered his hand and coldly looked at the unconscious Oliver. Then, he stepped over him, walked toward the staircase, descended to the ground floor, and staggered to the back exit.

After stepping outside, his vision was already so foggy that he couldn't see even a meter in front. He looked around anxiously, blood still dripping down his shoulder and the snowflakes on his pupils fading away. Soon, his "o" shaped pupils were back.

"Haah…" Isaac only felt three things. The pain on his shoulder, the coldness seeping into his bones, and exhaustion filling him.

"Argh…" As the chest pain returned, Isaac dropped to his knees and took a handful of snow into his right hand. Then, he spread it around the bleeding wound, hoping to slightly stop the bleeding.

Gladly the bullet tore straight through the shoulder and didn't get stuck inside.

Isaac's foggy vision couldn't see anything except his bloodied palms. When the vision got even worse, he laid down on his back, staring at the cloudless sky and stars above.

'This is… not the worst way to go out…' Isaac sadly smiled and tried to keep his eyes open, but it was impossible. His eyelids weighed a ton, and they were forced shut.

Isaac's breathing slowed down, and the blood-stained wound dripped with blood. His eyes turned white, and everything turned dark for him.

After a short while, the sound of snow crunching under heavy steps reverberated near him.

"Captain, someone is here!" After the shout, close to ten footsteps echoed in the yard. Then, over ten shadows loomed over the body of unconsciousness Isaac.

"Oh my gosh, he is shot!"

"Call the ambulance!"

"Let's stop the bleeding, hurry up!"

The police captain stayed on the sidelines with his right hand trembling non-stop. Then, he gulped his saliva down his dry throat and picked up his cellphone.

He took a deep breath and dialed a number on it. A short while later, the call was connected.

"Sir, we have a big problem…"
