Chapter 418 Luminescent Swordsman

The first thing Isaac did upon his arrival in the City of Priesthood was tour the city with the intention of studying the area in depth.

While walking, he had his Map out, and everything was getting more clear. On the map, the buildings started having their outlines, and the streets were becoming more descriptive.

In spite of nearly half an hour's walking, Isaac had only been able to outline a small portion of the map. There was still a big portion left, but he didn't plan to do everything in one go.

A hunch told him that he would stay in this city for a very long time, perhaps longer than he had ever stayed anywhere before.

While Players were instantly starting to search for Portal to the third realm, Autumn Realm, Isaac was calmly enjoying the warm weather and blue sky.

In a certain interview years ago, Arthur had said that to finish the game would take years, and since the game had already been released for more than a month and they had already reached the second phase, Isaac felt that to reach the third phase would be an incredibly challenging undertaking.

While Isaac was walking further into the city, a shimmer of light came from the corner of his eye, and his attention was drawn to a tall building that stood out in the distance.

After a while, he reached a place where a large building, surrounded by a metal fence, was located. There was a gate and a yard with a lot of students learning the art of swordsmanship.

The upper part of the gate had a sword symbol painted on it.

[Training Facility of Swordsmen Located!]

An image of a huge building was drawn on Isaac's map, with letters jutting out above it. The training facility was engraved on his map permanently, never going to fade away.

'Training Facility... I wonder if there are more...' Isaac slowly walked past the gates and looked at the eager children swinging their swords, sweat dripping down their tanned cheeks.

Isaac soon resumed his walking and could see and hear a market area from afar. The NPCs sold a wide variety of foods that were accompanied by the smell of delicious foods wafting through the air.

There were children running between the adults and teenagers hanging out with their friend groups.

Then, Isaac saw a group of children kneeling on the ground, a small table and statue on top only arms-length away.

Their hands were clenched together, and they kept whispering to one another under their breaths. It can be seen that as soon as the statue heard their prayers, it started releasing a dim glow before fading away again.

"Hmm… It seems Gods are listening." Isaac glanced to the sky and narrowed his eyes.

"H-How dare you?!" A shout came from a nearby building. After that, several shouts followed, and an argument was ignited.

Isaac frowned and looked toward the loud building. It was a book-renting store, and there seemed to be a male and a female arguing, both of them draped in priest robes.

'Priests?' Isaac curiously entered the store and heard their argument closer.

"I found this first!" The male Priest said while holding a book with a brand-new cover in a protective manner.

"Hmph." The female Priestess pushed her chest forward and moved the strands of hair out of the way, "My Senior Sister told me to fetch that book, and if you don't want to get in trouble, give it to me."

"Hah!" The male Priest snorted and hid the book behind his back, "You can tell your Senior Sister to piss off!"

"W-What?!" The Priestess covered her mouth in shock, then rage followed, "How dare you?! You ignorant ape!"

"How dare you insult me?! You half-witted gorilla!"

"G-G-Gorilla?!" The Priestess' face turned red, and she grabbed the hilt of her robes with rage oozing out from her heart, "Y-Y-You will regret that!"

"Pah!" The Priest showed his tongue and mockingly taunted the female Priestess.

The Priestess stomped on the floor and stomped out of the store, "T-T-This isn't over!"

"Bye, old hag!" The Priest grinned in a childish manner and went to purchase the book. The shop clerk looked exhausted after hearing the argument and quickly sold the item.

The Priest proudly left the shop, while stepping out, he took a side glance at Isaac and said, "Priestesses… They are bothersome. Better stay away from them, stranger."

Isaac turned around to see his retreating back and chuckled, "This City is interesting."

"Hello, welcome to Book Le Cheus." The Shop Clerk said while cleaning the desk with a wet rag.

"Hello, why is it called Le Cheus?" Isaac asked while walking toward the counter.

The Shop Clerk shrugged his shoulders and replied, "I thought it would sound fancy."

"Right…" Isaac's mouth twitched, then he asked, "Do you know where the nearest City Hall is?"

"Oh." The Shop Clerk raised his head and saw Isaac's pale complexion, that somehow intensified his looks, "Traveler, I see… Hmm, let me see."

In the midst of rummaging through the shelves, the Shop Clerk found a folded map tucked away in a corner.

He placed it on the counter and opened it. The whole City of Priesthood was visible on the map, and Isaac could finally see how large the place truly was.

It was enormous, and the three mountains were a big reason why.

The Shop Clerk pulled out a pencil from his pocket and drew a circle on top of one of the buildings, "This is the City Hall."

"And this is…" Then, he drew another circle on top of a smaller building, "Where you are currently."

"Ah, thanks. How much does this cost?" Isaac asked while folding the map and taking it into his arms.

"You get it for one purchase from this store." He said.

"Ah… Let's see…" Isaac went through the different selections of books and found an interesting one, "Luminescent Swordsman…"

"I will buy this one." Isaac placed the book on the counter.

The Shop Clerk glanced at the cover and nodded, "Ah…"

He glanced around the store. It was currently empty.

Then, he leaned closer and whispered, "Don't tell anyone… But, I have been reading this book for free when my boss isn't here."

"Is it any good?" Isaac asked while packing up the map and the book.

"You will see." The Shop Clerk said with a sneaky wink.

Isaac chuckled and nodded. He waved his hand while walking out of the store. Then, he placed the plastic bag on the inventory and took out the map.

Following the instructions, he began walking toward the City Hall to purchase a new house.
