Arthur grabbed the Snake with his left hand which the snake took as an opportunity instead.

"So you can still deal some damage." Arthur said as he watched the snake trying to constrict around his arm.
But that wasn't all that the viper did, it kept on trying to bite Arthur again and again.

Unfortunately for it, the effort was a waste as its poison was ineffective with the poison resistance buff active.

"Time to finish you," Arthur said as he used his left hand and brought it close to the spear head. "You made a mistake wrapping around my hand, now die!"
He pressed the wrapped body of the snake against the spear's edge, causing the scales to break.

The scales of the were broken and the blade soon cut upon the flesh of the snake.

The snake let out a painful cry and tried to move. Unfortunately for it, Arthur's grip was strong and its agility was useless.

Arthur moved his hand along the spear's edge, causing the flesh of the snake to be cut further. The notches on the spear head moved like a saw, parting flesh and breaking bones!

Since Arthur had killed a rare rank beast, he obtained more experience than he would from a normal mob.

The experience pushed him over the edge and he finally reached level 11.
"Haha, just in time too!" Arthur said as his condition returned to the peak.
He had used a decent amount of stamina in hunting the previous mobs, as well as wandering around thus having it be restored quickly was nice. It wasn't that he couldn't do it on his own, but rather the fact that he might not be able to return to Roran Town in that time.
But now that his stamina was fully restored, he would have no issues in going back.
'I should also be able to turn in the bounty… if the office is still open.' Arthur thought.
Though he reckoned it should still be open, as it was one of the important buildings and the guard captain himself was present there. If anyone were to report an emergency, the office would need to be open for them to be able to do that.
"Now to get the proof…" Arthur had cut the Wrapping Vine Viper badly, and thus needed to pick up the part that still had the head attached to it.

He cut off the head in one go, before wrapping it in cloth and putting it in his bag.

"Time to head back," Arthur said as he turned around.
He had actually ended up coming slightly deeper than the starting area while searching for the viper. Thankfully, he still had an hour left and it would be just enough time to reach Roran town. In about half an hour, he had exited Trunel Woods, and in another fifteen minutes, he had already reached the town.
"Halt!" The guards stopped Arthur just as he had expected, even though they had seen him leave just a few hours ago.
"I'm Arzhur an adventurer." Arthur showed them his ID.
"Hmm, you can pass." The guards opened the gate and let him proceed.
Once inside the town, Arthur quickly made his way to the office of the Guard Captain. Thankfully this time, the guards outside the office didn't stop him. They had already seen him before and reckoned he was just called again or something.
Inside, he quickly went to the section that was intended for bounties.

"You're back already?" The staff working inside were surprised to see the man so quickly.
"I've finished a bounty," Arthur replied.
"Huh?" the staff member who had given him the bounties was surprised. "Which one?" he asked.
"The Wrapping Vine Viper." Arthur said as he walked up to the desk.
He carefully placed the snake's head on the desk, making sure that it wasn't open. One could accidentally injure themselves with its fangs and get poisoned. Thus, it was better to be careful with it.
The staff member looked at the viper's head and was shocked.
"You really killed it… And you're not poisoned?" The man asked.
"No, I'm fine." Arthur shook his head.
"Astonishing… not many have returned unscathed after encountering a Wrapping Vine Viper." The man said as he carefully put the head of the snake into a wooden box.
Unlike the other trophies, this one could still cause damage, thus even he was careful with it.
"Let me get the documents in order." The staff member quickly took out the binder which had all the bounties and stamped on the Wrapping Vine Viper's page. "The bounty for the Wrapping Vine Viper is hereby completed." He stated.

"And here's the reward for the bounty." The staff member handed Arthur the silver coins.

The bounty reward for the Wrapping Vine Viper was lower than that of the Adult Black Scruff Wolf leader despite being a higher level than the wolf. This was due to the fact that it was a singular beast and could be killed with relative ease as long as one knew how.
On the other hand, killing the Adult Black Scruff Wolf leader was a lot more difficult as one not only needed to fight it but also the other Adult Black Scruff Wolves it would command. It was something that would usually be attempted in a party and the reward would be distributed accordingly too.
But Arthur had done it alone, and thus the reward was all his for the taking.
"Are you… going to hunt more bounties?" the man couldn't help but ask.
"I will… but not right now. I need to rest now." Arthur replied.
"Ah yeah, it should be tiring to hunt and travel all this distance." The man nodded his head.
"I'll head off now. I'll bring more trophies when I'm done!" Arthur said before taking his leave.
He peeked in the office of the Guard Captain too, but didn't see him there.
'Hmm, wonder where he went.' Arthur thought before leaving the building.
He quickly went to the inn he had booked a room in and got ready for the log out.
There were just a few minutes left anyways.
"Player Stats!" Arthur called out, wanting to check his first level up.

Just as was stated, all his stats had risen by one unit except the hidden stat Synchronization.
'The conditions to raise the Synchronization stat will be had to fulfill…' Arthur thought. 'Though I did get a decent amount of experience from the Wrapping Vine Viper. The Long Claw Trunel Prowlers alone gave me a decent amount of it.' He noted.
Arthur knew that he needed to reach level 20 quickly, if he wished to finish the quests he had gotten. Not to mention, the plan that he needed to prepare for the Guard Captain also needed him to be stronger.
'Since I get bonus stats, I'll be comparable to a higher leveled player. Plus, I'll also have the free stat points for emergencies. I'll save them for when I really need them.' Arthur pondered.
Having seen his stats, Arthur thought about what he'll be doing the next day. There would be a 2 day gap due to the difference in time, thus he had to decide beforehand.
'I should be able to sell the claws from the Long Claw Trunel prowlers tomorrow and then get to buying more armor.' Arthur thought as he watched the clock reach midnight.
