When the Sovereign Rank boss is found, I bet that everyone across the map will hear of it in no time. Anyway, let’s move onto the next necropolis. Suddenly, a couple of dark magi in black robes emerged from the distance while chanting some sort of spells. Then, they waved their scepters and fired black dragons at my Cyan Dragon Shield. I wasn’t expecting to find such deadly mobs within this necropolis at all. What the hell were they?

"Damn, it hurts!" I swore. "Sis, don’t let me die. Can someone tell me what is up with those black mages? How are they doing so much damage?"
He Yi had already flown her Snow Crystal Dragon up to the three mages and captured their threats with a Stormwind Slash. At the same time, Beiming Xue narrowed her eyes before reporting, "Big bro, those mobs are actually Level 311 Ancient Immortal Rank minibosses. That’s why they’re doing so much damage to you. I stomped the ground with War Crush, killed the dozen or so corpse eaters around me and restored myself to full HP. Right after that, I pressed my palm against the ground and cast Rise of the Guardian Dragon, sending both the corpse eaters and the dark magi into the air. If nothing else, the damage numbers rising from their bodies were very pleasing to look at.
Unfortunately, the minibosses didn’t go down nearly as quickly as the corpse eaters, and their incessant magic attacks kept me at 25% HP or so. Worse, another 5 Dark Magi chose this moment to spawn nearby. This was going to be dicey.
He Yi glanced at the group of newly spawned minibosses and said, "There are too many minibosses. Should we ask Li Chengfeng’s party to help us? They’re close enough."
I shook my head. "No, Chengfeng’s party is fighting a boss, remember? We’ll do this ourselves!"
While saying this, I cast Cold of the Nine Provinces that froze all the minibosses and allowed us to get a lot of healing and damage done. After the first miniboss finally went down to my Burning Blade Slash, I shouted, "Little Xin, get ready to freeze that group of 7 with Frozen Domain! Don’t get one-shot okay?"

Forty minutes later, we took out all 17 minibosses and countless corpse eaters. When I went to pick up the mages’ loot, I abruptly realized that we were fighting at the intersection point of at least 9 necropoleis. No wonder so many minibosses and corpse eaters had spawned in this one area.
I bent down and picked up a black-colored card dropped by one of the Dark Magi. Then, I flicked it into Lian Xin’s hands with a smile. "Use this, Little Xin. It’s great for DPSing…"
Lian Xin shot it a glance and felt her girlish heart quicken. "Uh, great doesn’t even begin to describe this, big bro."
Dark Magus Card: Increases user’s Magic Attack by 150%, and reduces spell casting time by 45%. Level Requirement: 230. Luck Requirement: 20. Duration: 180 minutes.
Beiming Xue picked up the rest of the cards from the ground before saying, "There are 11 Dark Magus Cards in total. Sister Xin should be able to use them continuously!"
I nodded. "Yes, we’re at the ruins that kickstarted this entire event. Unless the devs are hiding more surprises from us, I suspect that we’re close to the endgame of this March of Chaos event. Rather than saving them for another day, you should use them now as earn as much contribution points as possible."

Four hours had passed since we logged into the game, and the interface indicated that there were less than 14 necropoleis left on the map. The rumored Sovereign Rank boss still hadn’t shown up though. I bet a lot of people were growing impatient and wondering if the rumor was fake after all.

It was at this moment I received a message from Stranger of Three Lifetimes. "Lu Chen, where are you?"
"We’re at the center of the 99 necropoleis. What’s wrong, Momo?"
"The Sovereign Rank boss has appeared!"
"Where is it?"
"It just spawned at coordinates (33327, 21727). Pop Culture is grinding there, and Lone Moonshade has engaged the boss with less than 100 players.
