Without hesitation, he gave the Purple Wing Unicorn’s neck a slap and flew back to the ground, effectively giving up the boss.

I backed about a dozen of meters away from the boss and activated both Fusion Armor and Heavenly River Transformation. Purple Dragon Howl was unusable while mounted, so I had to cancel it and use Heavenly River Transformation to keep myself temporarily afloat in the air. I raised the Chill of the Nine Provinces high above my head and gathered a tremendous amount of purple dragon energy around its blade. Then, I unleashed it all at Coldblade.
"You think you can kill me? Dream on!"
Coldblade’s face looked horrible. It was completely covered in cuts and blood. He waved his hand and summoned an Ice Shield, but it was nothing like the first Ice Shield that had blocked my Purple Dragon Howl perfectly. This one looked like a strong hit or two could destroy it completely.
He Yi and Lin Yixin realized this and didn’t hesitate to unleash their Stormwind Break, Extreme Break and more. Li Chengfeng’s Dragonblade Revolution was the last blow necessary to shatter it completely.
Whoosh!
Purple Dragon Howl[1] arrived right on cue and engulfed Coldblade completely, dealing massive amounts of damage. The Purgatory Sovereign had finally reached the end of his life—

The skill hit Coldblade around ten times, triggering one septuple damage effect and two critical hits for a total damage of 20 million. Even if Coldblade had 1 billion total HP, 1% of that was just 10 million. There was no way he could survive this!

Face twisted into an expression of abject anger, he howled, "Ahhhh… Sophie, Xinran, Karinshan, just you wait! I may die, but the Purgatory Ruler will take revenge for me! The flames of vengeance will engulf the entire continent, and my death will only quicken your extinction! I—"

I checked my status screen thinking that I would almost be at Level 250 already, but no. My Level had only jumped to 247, and even the Ancient Divine Dragon was still a hair away from reaching Level 200. Just how much experience did it take to level the damn mount? Onto better news, I was back to 124 Luck despite everything I had donated to create the Holy Mages. The reason killing Coldblade rewarded me with 9 Luck was probably because there were only so many Nine Purgatory Sovereigns. At any rate, it was a most generous reward!

A smiling Karinshan walked up to us—one of her arms was still broken and unusable—and dropped to one knee. A respectful salute later, she said, "Thank you so much for coming to our rescue, Lady Wind Singer, Lady Sophie. Without you two, the Silver Moon Alliance would most likely have faltered under Coldblade and Thunder’s combined assault!"
Xinran nodded. "You give us too much credit, Your Majesty!"
Sophie asked, "Are you planning any more assaults, Your Majesty? I have brought an army of millions with me on this expedition. I can lend them to you if you don’t mind commanding an army of undead. I have witnessed the death of my nemesis, Coldblade, so I no longer have any regrets left in this life."
Karinshan nodded. "Thank you for your trust, Lady Sophie!"
Karinshan then rose to her feet and pointed directly to the south. "The forgotten ruins of a main city called the Sainthelm Ruins lie over there. It is now a world of ice and snow. He Yi smiled. "Very well. Who will be rolling for this ring? How many mages had participated in the assault against Coldblade?"
I did a quick check before replying, "Only three mages had damaged Coldblade, and they are Lian Xin with over 4.9 million damage done, Moonlight Stone with over 1.7 million damage done, and Yu Tong with over 900k damage done."
Yu Tong stuck out her tongue. "Hmm, my damage dealt is too low. I won’t be participating in this loot roll."
I shook my head and said, "Absolutely not. If you’re in the Top 3, then you deserve to roll for the loot. We do this by the book."
In private though, I sent Lian Xin a private message: "Please win this Soul Shocker Bell, Little Xin. You are our number one mage, so this necklace will be best used by you. Get it!"

Speaking of chest, her body had filled out wonderfully during the couple of years she studied overseas. I couldn’t deny my eyes were affixed to a pair of flesh even more appealing than the Soul Shocker Bell itself. Anyway, Lian Xin was the perfect mage to have this Ghost Armament because she had the hidden class, Phantasm of Stars. Even before she got the necklace, she was already powerful enough to give warriors like me and Li Chengfeng a massive headache. Now that her damage was doubled… Yeah, I think I’m going to avoid pissing her off as much as possible from now on.
