The forest was unusually quiet and desolate even considering that it was nighttime. We had moved far enough from the Lantern Girls’ domain that I could spot an ancient castle at the distance. It was 2.5 kilometers away from us at most. The sky was covered in demonized crows, and their red eyes never left our person for a second.
