Noxville Airfield, Noxville, Netheria

A private plane landed on the restricted Airstrip early in the morning, and a few minutes later, four figures disembarked it.

"Master Demiliore!" A man in a black suit bowed to him and then handed over the keys to the Range Rover that he had brought here.

He was one of the Security Heads of the Noxville, and Keith had made a call to him to bring the car over.

"Thank you." He lightly smiled and then walked over to the car with the young girl, who was holding his hand and looking around the place curiously.

"The air here is so fresh..." Ingvild commented.

It was not that she had not been to places with no pollution, but there was just something special about this place that intrigued her. This place just felt too serene to her sharp senses and made her feel very comfortable.

"I am glad you like it." He smiled and then gently squeezed her hand before helping her sit in the car.

The little girl smiled when he picked her up and put her in the front seat, and inadvertently a giggle escaped her lips when their eyes met. It was quite funny that he was helping her wear a seat belt, and this moment managed to distract her mind from the nervousness that was slowly creeping in.

"Sit tight." He told her, and she happily nodded her head, making him smile at her.

Her eyes were the shade of Blood right now. And it had been the case since she woke up yesterday.

Ingvild was not paying much attention to it even though she was a little curious. But since it all felt so natural to her, she was not alarmed about it.

Keith, however, knew what was happening and what happened to her. Her already potent Pure-Blood was transforming into something purer, all thanks to him and his Blood. And he wondered how far these changes would go.

And it was not going to be long before she would pick up on their bond and her yearning for him would increase.

It happened to Ingrid too, when she marked him as her mate, and Keith knew that his Carmilla Princess missed him a lot when he was not around.

Half an hour later, they reached their destination, and Ingvild was surprised to see the beautiful castle which was unlike anything she had seen before.

It was truly a marvel of modern and medieval architecture.

She subconsciously walked over to him and grabbed his hand when they exited the car, and Keith curiously looked at her.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes." She nodded. "Is this your home?"

"Yes. This is the Demiliore Castle in Noxville Netheria."

"It's beautiful!" She sincerely said with a cheerful smile.

"Thank you, Princess." He chuckled at her and then led her inside the Castle.

The few maids who worked here immediately greeted him as soon they saw him, and just as he stepped into the living room, a lady with pin-straight back hair came rushing at him.

Ingvild did not understand why she felt a little at a loss when he let go of her hand and stepped forward to catch the lady in his arms.

"Keith!" Qingyue tightly hugged him and giggled as he spun around with her in his arms.

"Good morning, Qingyue." He planted a kiss on her forehead, which she sweetly closed her eyes to and revelled in. "Missed me?" He asked knowingly, and she answered him by pulling him down by his collar and kissing him.

"Amelia said that you would be gone for another month." She was brightly smiling when she curiously spoke.

"Something important came up so I had to drop by." He told her and then turned to look at the Kurdish lady, who was fidgeting and longingly looking at him. "Ayesha," He called out to her, and his call made her lose all her patience and run into his arms.

Keith tightly hugged her, planted a kiss on her head, and kept holding her until he sensed her heart calm down.

"Hey." He smiled at her as he pulled her chin up and looked into her misty hazel-green eyes, and then he leaned in to kiss her softly on the lips.

Qingyue turned her eyes away when she saw him kissing Ayesha, and then curiously looked at the young girl who was standing next to Minami.

She was surprised and very curious since the girl was a spitting image of Ingrid, just six to seven years younger, and suddenly a thought crossed her mind that made her heart thump hard against her chest.

"Hi, I am Qingyue, Keith's wife." She smiled as she walked over and introduced herself to the young girl.

"Ingvild Carmilla." The little girl smiled back at her and accepted her hand, shaking it, and then confusedly looked at the shock that dawned on the grey-eyed girl's face.

Qingyue was stunned when she heard the name, and her eyes surprisingly widened.

"You are Ingvild?" She asked after a few seconds, just to make sure she had heard it right.

Everyone in the Family knew by now that Ingrid once had a little sister who was killed. And they had all caught her taking her name in sleep from time to time.

"Yes." Ingvild nervously nodded.

She had sensed the shock Qingyue was in, and it was not hard to sense as her heart was beating a little too erratically right now.

"Minami, show her around the Castle." Keith suddenly said, and his ever-so-obedient daughter stepped forward to grab the little girl's hand.

"Yes, Master." She nodded to him and then smiled at Ingvild before taking her away.

"Keith... She..." Qingyue turned to look at him, and he nodded to her.

"She is Ingrid's little sister." He told her and then checked his watch.

"Have you told her?" His wife impatiently asked.

"No. She's on her way here," He informed her, and then lazily stretched out his arms. "How's business?" He casually asked before he made her sit on the couch and then rested his head on her lap.

"Everything is fine..." She absently replied.

Qingyue was not in the mood to talk about business. She was still in shock, but at the same time, she was very happy that Ingrid still had her little sister. She was now anxiously waiting to see them meet each other.

"Where did you find her?" She curiously asked.

"The one who killed their father had secretly kept her hidden to make use of her powers." He told her and heard her heart become restless in a myriad of emotions.

"How can someone be so cruel?" She whispered as her anger gripped her heart, and Keith lightly smiled at her.

"One needs to be cruel to achieve and stay in Power, my dear Wifey. It's a bad bad world."

"It is not funny, Keith!" She reprimanded him.

"Isn't it?" He curiously asked, and when their eyes met, she only found seriousness in them.

The two stayed silent for a while until she could not bear it and voiced what was running in her mind.

"Am I naive to be too kind, Keith?"

Those were the words Rebecca had used for her on more than one occasion, and though it was always in a playful manner, she had always felt that there was an underlying meaning behind her words.

"You are naive, yes. Kind, yes." He nodded and then curiously looked at her. "Too kind? Have you ever been too kind to anyone?" He genuinely asked.

"That's not what I mean!" She frowned. "Rebecca tells me that I am too kind because I am not cruel enough."

"I see." He smiled and then chuckled.

"You think so too, don't you?" She seriously asked, looking right into his eyes.

"Yes." And his honest answer stabbed her heart painfully. "You are too kind for the life that awaits us."

Keith turned silent after his answer and kept looking at her expressions.

"It is wrong that I don't want to hurt anyone?" She emotionally asked.

"No." He shook his head. "It is your choice. But if your choice and kindness prove unfair to you or your family or harm you and your family, would it not be wrong?"

His words froze her mind for a moment, and then her brows furrowed as she contemplated what he said.

"What do you desire Keith?"

The sudden question took him by surprise and he curiously looked into her sterling-grey eyes, and soon a smile crossed his lips.

"Power, absolute power, and Immortality for me and everyone I want to spend my eternal life with."

His words caught both Qingyue and Ayesha by surprise, and their hearts started racing for reasons they could not wrap their heads around.

There was an unyielding conviction behind his words that sent chills up their spines.

But his words also brought forth a familiar sense of security that they felt when they were in his arms, and then they found themselves yearning and holding onto the same dream.

"And you would do anything to fulfil your dream?" The grey-eyed girl asked.

"Yes. As long as it is not at the cost of those I cherish."

Qingyue felt uncomfortable in her heart again, and this time, it was because his words were the same as what Rebecca had used to answer her question.

She wanted to ask the next question that she had raised to Rebecca, but she did not want to hear his answer anymore as she feared it would be the same answer that the blonde had given to her.

"I will shed the blood of innocents if I must. And no, Yue, it would never weigh on my conscience."

She recalled the words of her sister-wife and recalled the conviction with which she had said those words.

Now, she felt a little uncomfortable at how similar Keith and Rebecca were to each other. It was as if they were made for each other.

Keith left his wife to her thoughts and sat up when his ears picked up the sound of a car entering the Castle.

Minami had heard it too, and two minutes later, she and Ingvild joined Keith at the main entrance.

And Ingvild tightly grabbed his hand when tears started pooling out of her eyes.

She had already sensed her sister, and so had Ingrid...
