Chapter 511 Useless Discussion

Villain Ch 511. Useless Discussion

After a long silence, Red_King let out a long sigh. "As much as I hate to admit it, Warlord is right. This talk is useless. Next time maybe we can get together again for a better conversation," he said before he stood up and left. The others also left one by one, disbanding the meeting. Elio watched as the room emptied, his thoughts echoing the shared uncertainty among them. He decided it was time to return to his guild headquarters and prepare for the event.

Elio walked out of the tavern, the door creaking faintly as it closed behind him. Players in the bustling Ront City couldn't help but notice the guild leaders, their attention piqued by the distinctive and powerful aura these figures emanated. The pedestrians stopped in their tracks to get a glimpse of these renowned figures. The leaders' remarkable armors and ornate weaponry never failed to captivate onlookers. Some players even attempted to approach them, hoping for a quick word or just to get a closer look.

However, the guild leaders had grown accustomed to such attention and the responsibilities that came with their positions. They needed to focus on the imminent event rather than entertain the curiosity of passersby. They signaled for their mounts and quickly mounted the creatures, their figures rising above the crowd, and spurred it forward, parting the onlookers as they made way for the guild leaders to pass.

Elio hopped onto his sturdy Battle Bear. The moment he mounted the bear, it growled in response and began to move. His gaze drifted across the city, passing over the towering buildings, the bustling marketplace, and the myriad of players engaged in various activities. However, his attention was soon drawn to the ominous sight that stood at the center: the black tower.

The sight of the dark, foreboding structure loomed over the city, a monument marking the devil emperor's stronghold. The tower pierced the sky, an intimidating presence that overshadowed the cityscape. Players across the realm had made countless attempts to conquer this mysterious structure, but none had succeeded. However, the perseverance of these gamers knew no bounds. The more they learned, the quicker they'd find methods to overcome its challenges and rise victorious.

Elio's guild headquarters stood tall and striking, resembling a majestic temple with an ancient architectural style. Its pristine white walls shimmered under the glow of the virtual sun, giving the impression of a sanctified structure set amidst the shadowed city. The building stood out starkly in the dark city, a beacon of purity in the midst of the gloomy, foreboding surroundings.

This architectural beauty deceived many, leading newbie players to believe it was a real sanctuary where characters could be healed. The polished, gleaming fa?ade of the guild hall gave off an aura of divinity, attracting admiration from passersby, particularly the new entrants who mistook it for a haven of restoration.

A meticulously crafted gold guild crest adorned the entrance, gleaming proudly against the immaculate white background, signifying the prominence of Elio's guild. The polished and refined aesthetics spoke of the recent upgrades and customizations Elio had invested in. The improvements to the headquarters gave it an air of grandeur and bespoke luxury, making it stand out even more in the city's dreary environment.

Elio walked into the guild headquarters, and the Battle Bear vanished into thin air, leaving him standing at the opulent entrance. Gil was quick to greet him, falling in stride beside Elio as they traversed the hallways.

"So what about the meeting?" Gil prodded, curious about the discussions held within.

Elio's response was a long, exasperated sigh. "Useless," he uttered, a hint of sarcasm tinged his words. "This event is throwing us a curveball, something new and unexpected. I mean, who thought up this idea?" He shook his head in disbelief. These new events were creating a buzz in the community, but they were equally perplexing and unfamiliar.

"But it will start soon. What should we do?" Gil asked, his voice tinged with worry.

Elio folded his arms, a thoughtful expression spreading across his face. "We're ready for this, but the problem is how to approach it. No one really knows what to expect. The game company throws this at us, and we're in the dark," he replied, the uncertainty evident in his tone.

"Should we be aggressive or play defensively?" Gil inquired, eyes darting around the headquarters' surroundings, as if seeking answers from the grand walls that enclosed them.

"It's a gamble either way," Elio murmured. "If we're too defensive, we might not secure the win, but if we're too aggressive, it could backfire."

"The implications of losing could be drastic," Gil chimed in, his concern growing more visible.

Elio, held a slight shrug as if trying to dismiss the tension that weighed upon them. "We just simply do our best," he said, echoing his determination.

Gil mulled over the situation. "Maybe the villains will pretend to be NPCs?" he suggested, trying to contribute an idea.

Elio's features creased with mild annoyance. "Yeah, maybe. We'll check them one by one later," he said with a firm nod, pondering the possibilities.

His eyes scanned the area, seeking out a familiar figure. Gil caught the flicker of concern in Elio's expression and immediately understood the focus. "If you're looking for Sophia, she's in Gorroc City," Gil informed him.

Elio turned to him with a puzzled expression. "Why'd she go there?" he asked, curiosity lacing his voice.

Gil's lips curled in a wry smile. "A member said that they saw 'him' there," he said with a tone of disbelief.

"'Him' again," Elio muttered, his tone laced with evident irritation. The mention of this elusive 'him' seemed to ruffle Elio's composure, leaving him more puzzled than before.

Elio's expression shifted, his features contorted with mixed emotions. "You know, I think you should stop chasing her," Gil argued. "I know you have feelings for her, but you can't be Allen's shadow forever," he advised.

"I'm not interested in being his shadow either, Gil. In fact, I don't want to deal with Sophia's personal problems anymore," Elio lamented, a tinge of desolation evident in his voice. "I feel like I'm talking to a wall when I'm with her. That's very tiring," he added with a weary sigh.

Elio's honesty veiled a layer of complexity. "But yeah... I do have feelings for her..." he finally admitted, the truth surfacing amidst the frustration.
