Chapter 455 Don't You Want to Know About Her?

Villain Ch 455. Don't You Want to Know About Her?

Allen couldn't help but express his frustration, his voice tinged with exasperation. "Well, she has a lot of white knights," he commented, his thoughts dwelling on whether the conversation he had with Elio and the others had any impact at all.

[I love you, Yora!]

The persistent fireworks display once again disrupted their conversation, drawing their attention to the recurring message in the sky.

Their reactions mirrored their shared sentiment—both Allen and Larissa shook their heads in a futile attempt to make sense of the situation. The repeated messages of love effectively killed the atmosphere.

Turning to Larissa, Allen suggested, "Should we check the market now?"

Larissa readily agreed, her earlier enthusiasm for the fireworks display extinguished. She expressed her discontent with a hint of irritation, and as if to punctuate her sentiments, another round of fireworks lit up the sky with the same amorous message.

[I love you, Yora!]

Amidst their journey, Larissa's footsteps came to an abrupt halt as her gaze fixed upon a gathering of players surrounding an NPC. The particular NPC in question was the one responsible for registering the fireworks used in the romantic display. Larissa's immediate reaction was to seize Allen's hand, bringing him to a sudden stop beside her.

"Hm?" Allen queried, a perplexed expression overtaking his features.

Larissa simply nodded in the direction of the crowd, prompting Allen to follow her line of sight and observe the unfolding scene.

Allen's gaze shifted to the small gathering, revealing Sophia at its center, encircled by male players from various guilds. She appeared cheerful and engaged in light banter, donning an air of shyness and innocence that seemed to draw the attention of those around her.

What struck Allen as odd was that most of her admirers hailed from guilds other than her own. There was an absence of his guild members nearby, as well as the conspicuous lack of the NPC responsible for the fireworks registration.

This indicated that the love messages displayed in the sky weren't the handiwork of Elio and the others. Consequently, it became apparent that Sophia was actively trying to extend her influence beyond her own guild and garner support from players in various factions.

Allen observed the scene, he noticed Elio and several other guild leaders sitting at an open café nearby. They appeared gathered in a more secluded area, away from the bustling crowd surrounding the NPC. Their expressions were notably serious, indicating that they were engaged in a discussion that held significant importance. Allen couldn't help but wonder whether their conversation pertained to the recent war or some other critical matter within the game.

Meanwhile, further down the street, Allen spotted Darren and Liam engrossed in their respective activities near Thera. Both of them wore expressions of intense concentration, tinged with a clear sense of frustration. The telltale signs of irritation were evident, common among creators who faced repeated failures in crafting their creations.

Darren appeared deeply engrossed in his work, meticulously crafting potions and tonics. He had set up a makeshift laboratory-like setup with a table filled with various ingredients and apparatus. As he concentrated on his task, he bore a striking resemblance to a skilled alchemist or a mad scientist immersed in his experiments. This was the image that came to mind whenever he activated his skill to create potent potions and tonics.

Liam was fully engrossed in his work, seated next to Darren. He had a large anvil set up in front of him, with a blazing furnace nearby, radiating intense heat. With a sturdy hammer in his hand, he tirelessly pounded on the weapon before him. It was no ordinary weapon; its form revealed it to be a staff, and not just any staff, but a high-level one adorned with a glistening silver-white crystal at its tip. Allen and Larissa couldn't help but deduce that it was being crafted for Sophia.

Larissa couldn't resist a sarcastic comment. "Wow! Your ex is really something, huh? I didn't expect her to be so famous now," she said with a sly smile.

"Yeah," Allen replied, his tone neutral. While he didn't show it, Allen had mixed feelings about seeing Sophia in the spotlight. What was certain, though, was that their paths had diverged. Sophia, Elio, Darren, and Liam were no longer as close as they once were. In a way, this seemed like a validation of his earlier warnings to them.

Larissa's mischievous smirk revealed her thoughts. "Should we check them out?" she proposed, clearly meaning they should pay Sophia and her admirers a visit.

Allen nodded in agreement. "Sure," he said. "I'm curious about what Elio and the guild leaders are discussing." His focus had shifted from Sophia to the group of guild leaders sitting nearby. While Sophia's fame was intriguing, Allen was more concerned with Elio and his guild, the Order of Valiance.

The next attack was Gorroc City. However, what made this upcoming attack even more intriguing was the mini-event that accompanied it. This event centered around the concept of a traitor hidden among the guild members, and it promised a unique and challenging twist to the usual battles.

The event rules were simple but captivating. Each participating guild, limited to only eight, would be given the opportunity to kill the villains within their ranks. These villains would be in disguise, seamlessly blending in with their supposed allies. The catch was that they would remain hidden for a certain period of time, and it was up to the guilds to identify and eliminate them before they could wreak havoc from within.

The guilds selected to participate in this special event were the same ones that had made significant contributions during the last war. They were recognized for their exceptional teamwork, strategy, and combat skills, earning them the privilege of taking part in this exclusive mini-event.

"No, I mean Sophia," she said, turning to Allen spontaneously. "Don't you want to know about her at all?" She asked him with genuine curiosity, her eyes fixed on his.

Allen, immersed in the game and focused on his guild's objectives, shook his head from side to side. "Nope," he answered briefly, his tone indicating that Sophia was no longer a significant part of his world.
