Chapter 451 Virtual Date [Part 2]

Villain Ch 451. Virtual Date [Part 2]

Larissa's virtual avatar tilted its head slightly, a gesture that conveyed her intrigue. "A test of some sort?" she ventured, her inquisitive nature getting the best of her as she probed for more details.

Allen hesitated for a moment, grappling with how much he wanted to divulge. After a brief pause, he decided to provide a bit more context. "Yeah, you could say that. It's a kind of test, but I can't go into the specifics just yet," he explained, keeping the details vague but offering Larissa enough information to satisfy her curiosity.

"Oh okay," Larissa responded with a casual nod, the soft glow of her mage's staff casting an ethereal light on her character's face. In the virtual world, her expression conveyed a sense of understanding and readiness, mirroring her real-life attentiveness to Allen's words.

"Do you have time after this? I mean after the quest," Allen inquired, his virtual gaze fixed on the intricate details of his equipment status.

"After the daily quest? Yes, I have," answered Larissa quickly. Her tone sounded happy and excited. A smile on her lips.

Allen waved his hand, closed his equipment list, and turned to her. "Do you want to check out the market with me?" he asked. Previously, they couldn't access the player's market. But Shea objected as some materials for upgrading their equipment were easier to obtain through the market than they were to obtain through grinding. It was too much for them to grind levels, upgrade their equipment, and grind some money at the same time since once they went to the map, they would be faced with a lot of players. Or rather players kept bothering them and it was very annoying.

Those words were immediately welcomed by Larissa. "Oh! I love it! I also need some items for enchantment," she said excitedly.

Equip enchantment was a different beast compared to upgrading equipment. While upgrading primarily focused on enhancing the basic attributes of their gear, enchantments added a layer of complexity by allowing them to imbue additional stats onto their equipment. This was a crucial aspect of their characters' growth, and mastering it was paramount to staying competitive in the game.

Allen grinned, feeling pleased that Larissa was on board with the idea. "Great! Let's finish up this quest quickly, and we'll hit the market together."

Their main armor and weapons were very difficult to replace, and players didn't have many options. It was a rare opportunity to find high-quality enchantments in the market, making it a wise investment for both of them.

They soon found themselves in front of the portal room. The question of where to go for their daily quest hung in the air.

"For our daily quest, where did you decide to go?" Larissa inquired.

"Black Castle?" Allen suggested. It was their usual hunting ground, a location teeming with both monsters and players. It had become their go-to spot for leveling up and acquiring valuable loot.

Larissa paused, her eyes narrowing in thought. "Hmm… Rather than there, how about Festival Island's dungeon?" she proposed.

Allen's interest was piqued. "Oh, that's a great idea. I've never checked out that place before," he said with enthusiasm. But then, a hint of doubt crept into his expression. "But isn't it strange? I mean, our attire and such don't really match that," he remarked.

Festival Island had always intrigued Allen. He had heard countless stories about this unique map within the game, boasting a vibrant and lively atmosphere that contrasted sharply with the ominous Black Castle. It was a place where players could immerse themselves in festivities, take a break from the grind, and perhaps even embark on a new adventure.

Larissa seemed just as eager about the idea. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she considered their next move. "It certainly doesn't match our reputation," she began, "but there's no harm in checking it out. Besides, I heard that many players went there out of curiosity," she suggested with a mischievous grin.

Allen contemplated her proposition. Black Castle had become somewhat monotonous lately. Its vast expanse and multitude of dungeons offered plenty of challenges, but the oppressive and eerie atmosphere had started to wear on him. He craved something different, a change of scenery that could provide a fresh perspective on their gaming experience.

"Hmm… OK," he finally agreed, his curiosity piqued. The idea of exploring Festival Island and all it had to offer sounded appealing. He had nothing to lose and potentially a lot to gain from this diversion.
