Chapter 405 The Secret He Couldn't Reveal Just Yet

Villain Ch 405. The Secret He Couldn't Reveal Just Yet

Allen found himself in a rather tricky situation. He wore a peculiar smile as Emma playfully teased him. Inside, he wrestled with the secret he couldn't reveal just yet – the fact that they might indeed be siblings, a connection waiting to be confirmed by a DNA test. It was an odd dance of secrecy and withheld information that played out in their conversation.

However, Jordan, sensing the need to shift the conversation, cleared his throat and suggested diverting their attention elsewhere. "What if you show our guests something else?" he suggested. He had a point; dwelling on the potentially delicate family situation wasn't ideal, especially in the presence of their guests.

Emma, on the other hand, seemed unconvinced by this sudden camaraderie between her father and Allen. Her eyes narrowed with suspicion as she spoke up, her tone tinged with skepticism. "I took them for a walk earlier," she replied matter-of-factly, her flat stare suggesting she was far from convinced. "The match finished half an hour ago," she added, her curiosity evident in her piercing gaze.

Allen knew that Emma was a shrewd observer. Her quick grasp of the situation was a testament to her intelligence. He realized that he needed to tread carefully, for revealing their potential sibling connection prematurely could lead to complications.

He cleared his throat and spoke up, trying to bring some normalcy back into the room. "Um... Then I think we should go back now?" Allen suggested tentatively, hoping to change the subject.

Jordan quickly agreed to the idea. They both understood that it was crucial to proceed cautiously. "Oh, right," he said with a smile. "I also have some other work. There's another event I've been planning, and I'll be sure to invite you again later," he added.

The last thing they wanted was to jump the gun and potentially create misunderstandings. This initial discretion was vital, for it would determine the legality of their familial bond. Jordan longed to officially recognize Allen as his son, but they needed to tread carefully through the bureaucratic process. Fortunately, Jordan's relationship with Carla had never extended to marriage, leaving her with no legal claim to Allen. Additionally, Carla's official status was that of Allen's sibling, which provided them with the necessary separation.

His eagerness to prove Allen's biological connection was palpable, yet Jordan knew that hasty decisions could lead to complications. He needed to arrange the DNA test discreetly and then hold a conference with the relevant parties to officially announce Allen as his son. It was a delicate process that required patience and precision.

Shea and Zoe observed Allen and Jordan. Their sharp intuition immediately picked up on the unspoken tension in the room. Something was clearly afoot between these two, and it piqued their curiosity. The girls shared a silent hope, an unspoken wish that whatever was transpiring would lead Allen and Jordan to a profound realization of their true relationship.

Their eyes flitted between the two men, searching for clues in their expressions, trying to decipher the emotions that played beneath the surface. Zoe leaned closer to Shea, her voice hushed as she voiced her thoughts, "Do you think they're finally realizing what they are?"

Shea nodded with a hopeful smile. "I hope so. It's about time they acknowledge the bond that's been there all along."

Shea decided to nudge them in the right direction, to encourage them to seize this moment and perhaps break through the barriers that had kept them apart. "Don't you two want to talk more?" she called out with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Today's weekend, after all. It's the perfect opportunity to chat around."

Allen and Jordan exchanged a knowing glance. With a small yet sincere smile, Allen turned his attention back to Shea. "I think that's enough for now," he said, his tone reassuring. "We can always pick up where we left off next time," he added, giving a nod to Jordan.

Jordan concurred with a hearty nod. "Yes, that's right. We've got plenty of time," he chimed in, echoing Allen's sentiments.

With their conversation coming to a close, they exchanged their final goodbyes and made their way to their cars parked outside the grand mansion.

Allen waved goodbye to Jordan. The weight of his uncertain past had lightened, and the possibility of a future with his biological father filled him with a sense of purpose.

Jordan, too, was visibly moved by the encounter. He watched as Allen, with a warm smile on his face, got into Shea's car. The prospect of a reunion with his son had transformed his day, and he couldn't wait to take the necessary steps to solidify their relationship.

The cars pulled away from the mansion. Jordan and Emma stood by the mansion's gate, their eyes tracking the departing cars as they slowly disappeared into the distance. The question that hung in the air was unspoken but palpable, and Jordan couldn't resist the urge to break the silence.

"What do you think of Allen, Emma?" Jordan asked, genuine curiosity lacing his words. He wanted to ensure that there wouldn't be any lingering feelings of sibling rivalry in the future.

Emma pondered for a moment, her brow furrowed. She chose her words carefully, wanting to convey her true feelings. "He's... different," she began slowly, her voice holding a hint of pride. "Calm, sharp, and he's got some serious skills in the gaming arena. I can't deny that I like him," she admitted.

Jordan couldn't help but chuckle at his daughter's response. "Your face doesn't quite reflect that sentiment, you know," he teased, raising an amused eyebrow.

Emma shot a quick glance at her father, her expression unyielding. "Admitting that someone might be better than me is a tough pill to swallow," she confessed with a stubborn resolve. "But, I suppose it's enough for now. I won't go so far as to crack a smile just because of it," she added, her words laced with a playful defiance. And then, she entered the mansion.

Jordan turned his sight to the gate again. "But I think you will smile after you know who he is…" he muttered with a subtle smile.
