Villain Ch 390. Long Lost Son

The car glided through the imposing gates. Allen's gaze was drawn to the magnificent mansion that lay before them. Well, calling it a mansion felt like an understatement. It was more like a futuristic fortress, a melding of technology and grandeur that left him momentarily speechless.

The building rose before them, a testament to opulence and modern design. Its sleek lines and polished surfaces gleamed under the ambient light, reflecting the prestige of its owner. The structure was a symphony of glass and steel, soaring stories high with an air of both elegance and power.

The fa?ade was adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcased the expansive interior. Allen could catch glimpses of intricate interior design through the transparent walls, and he couldn't help but marvel at the blend of traditional and contemporary elements. The play of light and shadows created a captivating dance that seemed to beckon him inside.

The entrance was nothing short of grandeur. A sweeping driveway led to a porte-cochère that stretched out like welcoming arms. It was a place where luxury vehicles could easily be parked, a testament to the owner's status and taste.

The courtyard itself was a work of art, an oasis of meticulously landscaped gardens and water features that offered a serene contrast to the surroundings. Pristine lawns and perfectly manicured shrubbery framed the building, providing a touch of nature amid the concrete and steel.

Allen couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief. The owner's wealth was on a whole different level, and it made Shea's considerable fortune pale in comparison. The sheer opulence of the building spoke volumes about the owner's financial prowess.

"Shea, you never mentioned how loaded the owner was," he said, still slightly stunned.

Shea smirked at his reaction. "Now you know why he was so stubborn when I wanted to invest in his company. Money is the least of his concerns," she explained.

Zoe chimed in, adding another layer to the story. "Yeah, Shea even had to play the 'threaten him with the game's secret' card," she said with a cringe.

Shea shrugged nonchalantly. "Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do," she replied, as if it were a common occurrence.

The car stopped at the entrance. As they exited the car, a well-dressed servant appeared to greet them. The servant's polite demeanor and professionalism were in line with the grandeur of the mansion. Allen couldn't help but feel like he was stepping into a different world.

"Good evening, everyone. Mr. Goldborne is waiting for you in the dining room. Allow me to escort you," the servant said with a courteous smile.

Shea acknowledged the servant with gratitude, and they followed the escort toward the entrance, their anticipation building as they prepared to meet the owner of this extravagant establishment.

They stepped into the dining room, Allen's eyes were immediately drawn to a young woman with silver hair and a cute face. She looked to be around 19 years old, dressed in a nice and simple outfit that complemented her figure. Her expression lit up with excitement as soon as she saw Allen entering the room, and it was clear she was eager to meet him.

Beside her stood a middle-aged man with an athletic build, sharp eyes, and a friendly face adorned with a beard. His silver hair mirrored that of the young woman, likely her father.

Shea couldn't help but let out a long exhale at the sight. This was one of the aspects that made it challenging to prove that Allen was the owner's son. Aside from the sharpness in his eyes, Allen bore a striking resemblance to his mother rather than his father.

However, the owner himself stood up from his seat and extended a warm welcome to Allen and the others. His excitement was palpable as he approached Allen first, offering his hand.

"You must be Allen. I'm Jordan Goldborne, the owner of Hell's Gate," he introduced himself with a smile. Allen accepted his hand, and they shook hands.

"Nice to meet you, sir," Allen replied with a friendly demeanor, trying to hide any nervousness he might be feeling in this high-stakes situation.

After their initial exchange, Jordan turned to his daughter, Emma, and gestured towards her with pride.

"And this is my lovely daughter, Emma," Jordan said with a smile. Emma, who had been eagerly waiting for this moment, stepped forward with a warm and welcoming smile on her face.

"Hi, Allen. I've heard so much about you," Emma said, extending her hand. Allen shook her hand, noting the genuine friendliness in her eyes.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Emma," Allen replied, returning her smile.

Jordan then turned his attention to Shea and Zoe. They had met once before, so he greeted them with familiarity.

"Shea, Zoe, it's wonderful to have you all here," Jordan said, offering a warm and hearty welcome. "Please, have a seat. Dinner will be served shortly after everyone comes."

With that, they all took their places at the dining table. As they settled into their seats, Jordan and Emma couldn't help but focus their attention on Allen. Jordan, with a friendly and curious demeanor, initiated the conversation.

"So, Allen, tell us a bit about yourself," Jordan inquired, his eyes filled with interest.

Allen, momentarily puzzled, responded, "You mean my gaming experience?"

Emma couldn't contain her laughter. "No, silly. We already know about your impressive gaming record," she chimed in playfully. "What my father means is your family," she clarified, teasing him with a knowing grin.

Allen felt a pang of discomfort at the mention of his family. Discussing his personal life was something he preferred to avoid. He shifted uncomfortably in his chair as he contemplated how to respond.

Seeing her father's gentle reprimand in his eyes, Emma bit her lower lip in response, acknowledging her teasing might have crossed a line.

Jordan intervened to smooth over the situation. "Emma, let's not be rude to our guests," he reminded her, his voice carrying a fatherly warmth.

Emma acquiesced, her playful smile fading as she redirected her attention to the table.
