Villain Ch 186. Logic Over Emotion

The second event was underway, and as darkness enshrouded Eyon Village, a sense of foreboding settled over the participants. The evil tower materialized at the heart of the village, its ominous presence casting a shadow over the land. From within its walls, a horde of monsters was unleashed, ready to test the mettle of the players.

This time, however, the participants were more prepared. They had learned from the chaos of the first event and had devised a more strategic approach. Once the tower materialized, the players sprang into action, swiftly moving toward their assigned positions. The once haphazard formation had transformed into a well-coordinated assault.

Allen and the girls appeared in the sky, hovering above the battlefield, their eyes scanning the scene below. They observed the organized battle formation of the participants, impressed by the improvements made. The players divided themselves into five groups, each approaching the tower from a different direction. Within each group, a clear division of roles was evident. The frontline consisted of sturdy tanks and agile melee DPS, while the ranged DPS players provided support from a safe distance. Accompanying each group were skilled healers, ready to mend wounds and keep their comrades in the fight.

In contrast, the soloist, driven by their own determination, chose a different path. Ignoring the structured approach of the other participants, they charged headlong toward the tower, relying on their individual prowess and hoping for a stroke of luck to carry them through.

Unlike the first event, where greetings were exchanged, this time Allen and the girls wasted no time with pleasantries. They knew that in the midst of this battle, every second counted, and so they sprang into action without hesitation.

With a swift motion, they unleashed their crowd control skills. The air crackled with their demonic power as the ranged DPS found themselves suddenly paralyzed. It was a calculated move by Allen and the girls, deliberately choosing to target the players positioned behind the frontline attackers. Their decision was based on the understanding that disabling the ranged DPS would disrupt the enemy's overall strategy, limiting their firepower and forcing them to reassess their approach.

As the targeted players found themselves unable to move or cast spells, panic, and confusion swept through their ranks. The frontline team stood frozen, their progress halted by Allen's unexpected tactic. The shock on their faces was evident, realizing that their prior knowledge gleaned from the first event would be rendered useless in the face of this new strategy.

Then, instead of engaging in direct combat, Allen decided to unleash one of his skills.

"Savage Reanimation," he muttered under his breath.

In an instant, his summoned minions materialized, charging forward to attack the frontline players with relentless ferocity. The battlefield erupted into chaos as the minions tore through their opponents, inflicting devastating blows. Meanwhile, the girls swiftly made their way toward the ranged attacker groups, their eyes gleaming with deadly intent.

With the ranged attackers now paralyzed, the girls had the advantage, slashing and striking with lethal precision. The once-formidable ranged groups were swiftly decimated, their bodies falling to the ground as the girls cut through them with ease. The evil tower's influence still loomed overhead, but Allen and the girls had positioned themselves strategically, ensuring their safety within its boundaries.

It didn't stop there. While the frontline groups were still grappling with Allen's relentless minions, he decided to unleash another devastating skill. A sinister grin crept across his face as he uttered the words in a cold, determined voice.

"Summon..."

The air crackled with energy as the ground beneath him trembled. A surge of dark power enveloped the area, causing even the remaining players to shudder in apprehension. Out of thin air, two formidable figures materialized before him. The Ghost Master, a spectral being clad in ethereal armor, and the Wolf King, a massive beast with fiery eyes and razor-sharp fangs. The ground quivered under their weight as they let out earth-shattering roars, commanding attention and instilling fear in the players' hearts.

With a resounding roar, Ghost Master and Wolf King made their grand entrance, their voices echoing ominously throughout the village. The ground quivered beneath their weight, and the air became heavy with anticipation. Immediately, they rallied their minions to their side, a horde of spectral phantoms and bloodthirsty wolves, ready to unleash havoc upon the players.

The sudden appearance of these mini-bosses caught the participants off guard. Their jaws dropped in disbelief and confusion. The information they had gathered from the first event proved to be misleading, as the power and magnitude of these enemies far surpassed their expectations. It was a clear indication that their meticulously crafted plan had crumbled before their eyes.

The air crackled with tension as the battle unfolded, each player fighting for their survival in a desperate bid to overcome the overwhelming odds. Allen's eyes darted across the chaotic scene, his gaze landing on Elio and his ex-teammates who were immersed in the fierce clash. Anger surged within Allen, the desire to exact revenge on Elio burning hot in his veins. But he knew that giving in to his emotions would only lead to his downfall.

With a determined resolve, Allen forced himself to focus on the bigger picture. He understood that the first step towards victory was to dismantle the enemy's battle formation and shatter their confidence in their own plan. Despite the urge to single out Elio and his guild, Allen knew that strategically disrupting their formation would yield greater benefits in the long run. It was a difficult decision, but he had to prioritize logic over personal vendettas.

He swiftly devised a plan in his mind, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy forces. The players' morale wavered as they faced foes that defied their prior knowledge and expectations. This was Allen's opportunity to exploit their wavering confidence and turn the tide of battle in his favor.

But rather than put his focus on Elio, Allen turned his eyes to a female healer on the back line, Yora. In an instant, his wicked grin appeared on his face.

"Let's start our game…"
