Villain Ch 185. Battle of Tactics

At the end of the first event, Allen and the girls stood before the imposing gates of the Cursed Crypts. Their bodies were drenched in the blood of their fallen foes, a testament to the fierce battles they had endured. Wounds and bruises adorned their forms, souvenirs from the relentless onslaught of their adversaries. Yet, despite the visible signs of wear and tear, none of their injuries were severe enough.

Allen wiped a smear of blood from his cheek and glanced at his bloody hand, a sly grin playing on his lips. The adrenaline still coursed through his veins, fueling his excitement for what lay ahead.

A series of announcements appeared in front of him.

[Congratulations you have completed an event!]

[You have killed 529 players!]

[You have killed 11 NPCs!]

[You have destroyed 51 structures!]

[City of Ront destruction is 73%!]

[Level up!] X5

[You are now level 67!]

[You got 12302 Coins]

"529..." he muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on the body count. He hadn't expected it to be so high, considering he had relied heavily on his minions and summons during the event. Although the experience points had funneled into his character, he hadn't anticipated that they would be included in his kill count. The realization of how many players he had eliminated sent a shiver down his spine, a mix of surprise and awe coursing through him.

Bella's voice broke through his contemplation, her words tinged with a hint of disappointment. "Too bad you didn't find your main target," she murmured, her eyes flickering with a mixture of curiosity and concern.

Allen turned to face her, a calm demeanor masking the bloodlust that simmered within him. "Yeah. But according to Gilbert, Elio will be participating," he replied, his tone even and composed. It was an odd contrast, the gentleness of his voice contrasting with his bloodstained armor.

Jane chimed in, her curiosity piqued. "So, what's your plan during this break? Besides replenishing your HP, of course," she asked, her eyes filled with curiosity.

Allen fell into a momentary silence, his mind racing as he contemplated their next move. "We need to strategize," he finally declared a determined glint in his eyes. It was clear that he was already formulating a plan, weaving together the threads of their previous encounters and the knowledge gained from the event.

"Is it because of Elio?" Zoe ventured a guess, her eyes narrowing with curiosity.

Allen turned to face her. "Yes," he admitted. "Knowing Elio, he wouldn't simply stand by and watch. He's probably already gathering information from the first event's participants," he reasoned. Although it irked him to acknowledge Elio's strategic prowess, Allen couldn't deny that his rival had a knack for planning and executing effective strategies. This wasn't a mere duel; it was a battle of numbers and tactics. Despite the strength and abilities of Allen and his companions, Elio possessed the advantage of a larger alliance and the freedom to employ any tactics he deemed necessary.

Zoe nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "In that case, we can't afford to waste any time," she asserted. "Elio is an international player, just like you, Allen. We need to anticipate all possible scenarios and be prepared for what might come our way," she advised, her voice filled with a sense of urgency.

With a resolute nod, Allen led the way as they strode purposefully into the mansion, making their way toward the NPC room.

Gathering around a sturdy wooden table, Allen and his companions took a moment to catch their breath and recuperate. They reached into their inventories and retrieved various potions, uncorking them one by one and taking long swigs to replenish their depleted energy.

As they quenched their thirst and felt the invigorating effects of the potions, the group engaged in a lively debate, their voices rising and falling with excitement and anticipation. They explored every possible scenario that could be unfolded during the second event.

It was a short half hour filled with intense discussion and strategizing. The air crackled with anticipation as Allen and his companions mulled over the countless possibilities that lay before them. They examined every angle, dissected every potential outcome, and debated the best course of action.

The room buzzed with energy as they exchanged ideas, their voices overlapping in a symphony of excitement and determination. They knew that the second event would be a true test of their skills and teamwork. The challenges were more daunting, and the competition fiercer than ever.

Allen, deep in thought, couldn't shake off the underlying tension that coiled within him. The exhilaration of the first event still coursed through his veins, but it was now laced with a sense of unease. Elio, his former teammate, and rival, loomed in the back of his mind. The thought of facing them again, in a battle that would determine their fates within the game, sent shivers down his spine due to his excitement.

The minutes ticked by. They wrapped up their discussions, having laid out their plans as meticulously as possible. Each member of the group had a role to play, and a specific task to carry out. They knew that coordination and communication would be key to their success. Trusting in their individual skills and their collective bond, they made their way to the portal that would transport them to the second event.

Standing in front of the portal, Allen couldn't help but feel a surge of adrenaline. He exchanged glances with his companions, and their determination mirrored his own.

Just like Allen and his companions, Elio, and the second event's participants had also congregated at Eyon Village, ready to embark on their next adventure. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as players from different guilds and groups gathered, their eyes focused on the impending challenge. Unlike the chaotic assembly of the first event, this time the formation was more organized and purposeful. Elio, true to his strategic nature, had taken the initiative to announce his plans to anyone willing to cooperate.

The word had spread quickly, and guilds and major groups aligned themselves with Elio's strategy. They recognized the dire odds of achieving victory as individuals and understood the power of unity. As for the soloists, Elio allowed them the freedom to execute their own tactics. He knew that relying solely on individual attack would only lead to a near-zero chance of success

And then… an announcement appeared in front of them.

[The war event will start soon. The evil tower will appear in the Eyon Village. The event will end in 30 minutes. Everyone who participates will get a 2X EXP bonus.]
