Villain Ch 156. Her White Knights [Part 3]

Elio stood there, his mouth agape, rendered speechless by the shocking revelation. The expression of disbelief was etched across his face, and deep down, he couldn't help but sympathize with Allen's anger. The gravity of the situation had hit him full force, and he realized that it was impossible to blame Allen for his seething resentment.

Desperation filled Sophia's voice as she interjected, her tone laced with bitterness. "Allen, I've already apologized countless times. I've said sorry," she pleaded, her words tinged with a deep longing for understanding. She couldn't fathom why Allen had chosen such a cruel way to express himself. She had recognized her mistake, admitted her fault, and genuinely sought forgiveness. All she wanted was to rekindle the love they once shared, to go back to how things were between them. Was that too much to ask?

Allen's gaze snapped towards Sophia, his eyes narrowing sharply. "And I've already made it clear that I've severed all ties between us. I have no intention of returning," he retorted, his voice cutting through the air like a sharpened blade. His words carried an unmistakable edge, devoid of any lingering tenderness. It was as if he had hardened his heart, determined to keep his distance and protect himself from further pain.

"I'm begging you, Allen. I just want to make things right. I don't want to lose you," Sophia pleaded, her voice trembling with raw emotion. Her eyes welled up with tears, mirroring the pain that consumed her heart.

Allen's gaze lingered on Sophia, taking in the profound sadness etched on her face. It was a look that could tug at anyone's heartstrings, capable of manipulating even the strongest-willed individuals to protect her and fulfill her every desire, whether they wanted to or not. In the past, he might have succumbed to her charm without hesitation. But this time, things were different.

A coldness enveloped Allen's words as he met Sophia's tear-filled gaze. Without flinching, he uttered a sentence that struck at the core of her being, shattering the remnants of hope she had held onto. "You've already lost me," he declared, his voice devoid of warmth or remorse.

The weight of those words crushed Sophia's heart, causing her sobs to intensify. She could no longer contain her overwhelming anguish. Her hands instinctively covered her face, attempting to shield herself from the pain that consumed her. Her tears cascaded down her cheeks like a relentless downpour, unstoppable and unrestrained.

Sophia's sobs grew louder and her tears flowed like a river, Elio's heart clenched with a mixture of sympathy and anguish. The sight of her crumbling before his eyes was an arrow straight through his chest, piercing his own feelings of empathy for her pain. He understood that Allen had valid reasons to be angry and hurt by Sophia's actions, but he couldn't help but feel that Allen was being excessively harsh, perhaps even unforgiving.

Without hesitation, Elio swiftly moved to the empty seat beside her, gently guiding her into a comforting embrace. His arm wrapped around her trembling shoulders, pulling her closer to his chest, offering her solace and a safe place to release her tears. The warmth of his touch and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat provided a small measure of comfort amidst the storm of emotions that engulfed her.

At that moment, words seemed superfluous. Elio knew that Allen's anger and rejection were justified, that Sophia's actions had caused deep wounds that may take time to heal. Yet, he couldn't bear to see her suffer. His protective instincts surged within him, a fierce desire to shield her from further pain and offer her the support she desperately needed.

Without uttering a single word, Elio directed his gaze towards Allen, his eyes filled with displeasure and a glimmer of anger. It was a silent message, a wordless expression of his disapproval at the harshness with which Allen had treated Sophia. He longed to voice his own thoughts, to plead for a more compassionate approach, but he understood the complexity of the situation. He knew that despite his own conflicting emotions, Allen's perspective held truth and validity. fre ewebn ovel

"You two seem quite fitting for each other," Allen sneered, his voice dripping with merciless cynicism. His gaze shifted back and forth between Elio and Sophia, scrutinizing them with a mixture of disdain and curiosity.

Realizing he had created a scene, Allen felt a strong urge to remove himself from the unfolding spectacle. He contemplated getting up and leaving the place. But just as he was about to make his exit, a group of individuals approached Allen, diverting his attention.

There were four of them, including Gil, and they seemed determined to address the brewing conflict. Allen recognized Gil's face among the group, a mixture of disappointment and concern etched on his features. It was evident that they had witnessed the confrontation and felt compelled to intervene.

"Hey, new guy. I think you should stop slashing your daggers at our healer. I don't like it," one of the older individuals spoke up, his voice tinged with irritation, utilizing gaming terms to express his discontent. His fiery red hair stood out, and his displeased expression added to the intensity of his words. From the distinct tone of his voice, Allen immediately recognized him as the mage, that INeedAHotGF guy.

"I think you're taking things too far, Allen. I didn't leave you guys for this," Gilbert chimed in, his disappointment palpable. It was clear that he, too, had hoped for a resolution that wouldn't leave Sophia in such a state of distress.

Allen's eyes scanned the group standing before him, taking in each face with a mix of disdain and resignation. 'Of course,' he thought bitterly, 'they're all taking her side.'

It was a testament to the enigmatic allure Sophia possessed, one that seemed to effortlessly draw people to her, particularly men. Despite her seemingly fragile and innocent demeanor, there was an undeniable magnetism that emanated from her, a strange charm that enticed others to protect and defend her. And now, surrounded by a guild predominantly composed of men, it came as no surprise that she easily commanded their attention even without a single word.
