The battle had ended before Cao Mao arrived.

Cao Mao looked around, searching if one of his yin slaves was nearby. He also used the ring to call them over.
However, the person who had shown up was Wei Yuan, who had come to welcome him home.

Many things about him had changed after the fight with Zhang Junyi. Yet, Wei Yuan recognized Cao Mao's aura and his facial outline.

Ju Shoufen was more reserved. She excused herself and returned to her house, waiting for Cao Mao to summon her into ITS.

A few minutes later, Ma Moxi also returned. However, he didn't enter the city right away as he had found all elders gathering outside the city.
Jia Wenhe, Ma Ping, Pang Lingming, Ma Shoucheng, and Jia Shan sat cross-legged in a circle, closing their eyes and meditating in solemn.

The monk gazed at the group in confusion. Although he had guessed that they had taken care of a few stray troublemakers around here, he didn't know why the elders and the young man didn't enter the city.
The children also tilted their heads, wondering why they had gathered here.
