228 Leaving the Maze
In the end, Mao Xueyan had accepted Cao Mao's invitation.
However, they now faced a new problem right away. They didn't know where they had to go to leave this underground maze as the two girls couldn't rely on their smelling sense to find the exit. Every scent smelled the same after Tang Deming had died.
"Where should we go? Should we head back?"

But Cao Mao had a simpler idea, "Why don't we destroy the ceiling and get to the surface?"
"… Right," Mao Xueyan turned to Dandan. "Can you alter the ground? Have you recovered your earth Qi yet?"

Dandan laughed. She circulated her earth element Qi and injected it into the ceiling.

Within a few seconds, the ground shook. A hole appeared on the ceiling, revealing the clear blue sky.
Witnessing the application of earth element Qi, Cao Mao rubbed his chin as he checked Dandan's body again. He secretly thought to himself.
'Wow! She is definitely stronk! But, Earth element Qi, eh? If I can make here another yin slave, I might be able to absorb earth element Qi and condense an earth core. "Huh?" Cao Mao snapped back to his sense.
Dandan shouted, "The maze is protected by a strong array! I'll run out of Qi within a few seconds. Hurry!"
"Crap!"
Cao Mao activated his life essence and flew. After he had gotten inside the hole, the tunnel slowly closed itself.
As soon as Cao Mao's legs had gotten out of the hole, the maze was sealed.
"It's alright," Cao Mao patted Dandan's butt. Although it was sexual harassment, the tall girl didn't seem to mind.
Exploiting the opportunity, Cao Mao kept massaging Dandan's butt, "If you stay in Siren City for a day or two, you should be able to recover everything. Hell, your Qi volume will probably increase."

Within 30 minutes, the master and apprentice duo found a group of Tang Deming's employees beyond the exit point. They captured them and interrogated them about the treasures.
Unfortunately, the employees only had a handful of refined stones and essence cores. Most auction treasures and essence cores were with Tang Deming, so Li Jue couldn't gain anything worthwhile.
"Alas, Tang Deming has slipped away," Li Jue lamented. He sighed and shook his head.
"At least, we got out of the city."
Niu Fu laughed as he gazed toward the west, where flying battleships of Liu Bian were still bombarding the city.
Currently, the duo was on a grassland, about two kilometers away from the battle site. The underground passage led them here without realizing it.
"Haiz," Li Jue looked at the employees and waved his hand.
Tang Deming's employees suddenly felt that something precious exploded. They covered their crotch area and screamed in pain.

He was lost.

'Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm the dungeon master-I meant, I am the creator of this maze, and I'm in charge of managing the underground array here.'
