Lukas didn't know if he was crazy.

Instincts could be dead wrong, but still he followed them and was alive till now so that was something.

At this point, the rest of the wyverns had taken their Wailing Goat captives and then took off into the air.

The remainder of the goats should have ran away, but then they saw the remaining outsider—Lukas and wailed at him.

"Fuck." Lukas covered one ear with a hand, but the other eardrum burst again and sent him into another world of pain. He tried to run away, but then awkwardly lost his balance and fell into the ground.

"Right, ears and orientation or something." Lukas grumbled as he sat down on the ground and raised his dagger defensively. He hated the fact that he needed to recover, but there was nothing he could do about it.

"Rather want to deal with you lot while sitting down instead of tripping down my face like some kind of idiot." Lukas muttered and bared his fangs.

Some of the Wailing Goats paused, but others fearlessly drew themselves towards Lukas.

Clip. Clop. Clip. Clop.

"Actually, now that I think about it, that sounds way more like horses. Well, you guys both got hooves so that explains things." Lukas muttered. "I clearly need to pick up Mastery in Animal Control or Fear Wave. Something like Aura of Powerful?"

Somehow that didn't seem like it made a lot of sense since Lukas was blabbering but he had a feeling that those things actually existed.

They just didn't belonged to him at that moment.

"Alright, come at me!" Lukas shouted and then pulled himself to bending his knees. He'd rather not get both of his eardrums bursting, but maybe that would even out the disorientation?

It was a silly idea that Lukas still thought of.

The first wave of Wailing Goats lashed out at him, screaming.

Lukas raised his dagger defiantly.

A crossbolt came flying and struck the first one in the head.

The expression on Lukas' face should have been a smile, but he was sure that it was far from that as the three idiots came running up the mountain.

"Is this a thing that we're doing now?" Lukas shouted as he stabbed a goat in the neck and then elbowed another away from him. One bit at his cloak, and that made Lukas panic—it chomped off a good bit of it and this had belonged to Chaerin's dad.

"Gods, she's going to kill me for this!" Lukas let out a panicked laugh and went in for the kill. He couldn't stop Philip, Anthony and Matthew from coming in so that was their decision. "I have nothing to do with it!"

"What the heck is he screaming about?" Philip shouted as he mercilessly stabbed a goat over and over again.

"You're welcome!" Anthony said as he reloaded and fired again.

"Ugh." Matthew lifted a hand and threw aside a ton of goats off the mountain.

Lukas and the other two who saw it, blinked and then it made Lukas curse.

"Of course that could have worked far more easier." Lukas said.

The population of the Wailing Goats took a quick plunge, faster than the wyverns did when they dropped out from the sky, but there almost seemed to be no sense of self preservation with the animals.

"Are these creatures mindless or what?" Lukas asked as he pulled to his feet, attempted to do the same thing as Matthew and actually knocked back a goat by a few meters.

[Mastery Went Up!]

"Why did he get an automatic upgrade?" Lukas complained as the others, for some reason made their way up to him. Matthew was the one practically clearing a path for them so it made sense.

However, Lukas noticed that there was blood dripping from Matthew's nose.

"Oi! Stop that! That doesn't look any good!" Lukas waved his hands to catch the young man's attention, but it was to no avail.

"Almost there." Matthew said as he climbed up, and then faltered. Philip caught the guy in his arms and rushed up the mountain to Lukas.

"Better start running like hell, they don't seem like they're going to stop!" Philip said, and with the adrenaline of a Dhampir that surely shouldn't have been normally that fast, Philip sprinted past Lukas, Matthew and all.

"Huh. So he's the fast one." Lukas said.

"A little help." Anthony trudged after them, trying to dodge the other goats. He had been the one left behind, shooting down others from behind.

"I got you." Lukas stretched out his hand towards Anthony to lend him a hand.

"Thanks—!" Anthony's eyes widened and he opened his mouth. There was a panic in his posture that made Lukas raise a brow.

"What…?" Lukas didn't get to finish his sentence before he was plucked up from the sky by the Sky Changing Wyvern and taken out from the mountain.

A crossbolt went flying into the air, but failed to pierce through and it dropped helplessly instead.

"Hey!" Anthony shouted. "Lukas got captured!"

Before the Sky Changing Wyvern could disappear, a strange pull tried to drag it back down into the ground. It flapped its wing furiously.

Matthew supported by Philip tried to yank the entire creature down, and it became a tug of war.

The struggle lasted for a long and hard minute before Matthew was the one who lost in the end.

Lukas could have stabbed the wyvern in the foot, scales and all, the dagger would have pierced through but he didn't. He probably should have and he hated the fact that Matthew lost consciousness again, but this wasn't actually bad.

"Get a free ride to the base, right?" Lukas muttered.

The Sky Changing Wyvern didn't respond to Lukas' statements and simply flew up. But as Lukas expected, it did head towards the direction that the System was giving him.

In one of the highest peaks in the mountain, there lay a mouth of the cave. That was where Lukas needed to be.
