"Woah, easy there." Lukas laughed and dodged the paper ball. He caught the paper inside of the trash bin and gave a small stare at Lily.

"Oops, sorry." Lily apologized with a sheepish smile. "I forget that my strength tends to be on the stronger side."

"No worries, that's impressive."

"You think so?" Lily blinked. "My father always tends to say that it's a bit unbecoming for someone like me to use their strength. Most of the women of our kind tend to become masters of manipulation, charm and glamor."

"Well, your father doesn't know what he's talking about."

"Ah, if only you could say to his face." Lily grinned. "I'd love to see how he'd react."

Lukas chuckled. He came to realize that despite her sweet personality, Lily also had a playful side to her–and it came to show after him working for more than a week in the city council.

It was a refreshing thing to witness.

Despite the fact that it did actually take him some effort to become used to the lifestyle of a Vampire–using credits to buy and drink up blood which triggered his human side, trying to get some rest and realizing that he didn't have much use for sleep–working with Lily had been nice.

It was much better compared to his old life as a human.

"Something on your mind?" Lily asked.

"Ah–it's nothing." Lukas rested a hand underneath his chin. "I just can't help but admire your visage. I'm sure it will look even more beautiful underneath the moonlight."

"I–that's… stop being so silly." Lily punched him slightly in the arm. "We should stop making these paper balls and actually start shredding them, alright?"

"Yeah, I gotcha." Lukas settled down and took a seat inside of the small storage room. He turned on the shredder machine, took the trash bin and started to unwrinkle the paper.

If there was anything that might help him get some intel on magic–it was reading through these documents as fast as he could and hoping he stumbled on personal records.

Maybe he could also find out from a database or something?

"–Thank you. If we continue on finishing this work fast, I may recommend you to be the Employee of the Month." Lily said as she took a seat beside him.

Lukas nearly shredded his own fingers the moment that Lily sat down close to him. The scent of her hair was sweet and fragrant, it was a scent that brought him to a sweet paradise. Man, he really wanted to hold her close.

His thoughts about investigating the descendants of the Blood Arts author temporarily abating.

It also didn't help that Lily was wearing something that attracted Lukas' gaze to her. She wore a long pleated skirt which covered most of her legs and only showed off her tankles, but her top had thin straps which showed off her slender and pale arms.

Her fingers were clasped together as she sat idly by him–almost as if she didn't know the effect that she had on him.

"...employee of the month?" Lukas managed to say. He resumed shredding the paper and taking a look at the contents before they disappeared–nothing substantial so far.

"Mhmm! You get bonus Credits when you win the employee of the month."

"And how do you know that?" Lukas asked. "Are you the previous employee of the month?"

Lily's face turned a bit red and she rocked back and forth on the floor. "For the past year–yes."

"Woah." Lukas chuckled and turned to look at her. "You've been such a good girl haven't you?"

"What… what the heck are you saying?" Lily shoved him and looked at him flustered. "Do you want to get demerits for work indecency?"

"Eh? What was wrong with what I said?" Lukas grinned. "I just said that you were a good girl–what was indecent about that? You probably just have a dirty mind–which is amazing for Miss Employee of the Month."

"N-no! That's not true–!" Lily was completely red in the face and shoved him again.

Lukas felt himself go under, Lily's strength at this time being much stronger than he expected–and so she also went falling down and collapsing on top of him.

The two of them ended up in a rather indecent position.

"You… Why did you have to say that?" Lily asked, her face still burning hot. Her dark brown hair fell over her face and framed it almost perfectly as she gave him what seemed to be a pout.

Lukas chuckled and rested his hand idly on her back, before he looked into her eyes. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to tease you because you were so cute. If you want, I could stop now."

Lily's lips parted open in surprise as she stared at him in disbelief.

At that moment, Lukas was tempted to seize her lips right then and there, but he waited for her response.

"I… I don't mind."

"What was that?" Lukas asked.

"I said that you were out of your mind." Lily huffed and pulled away. She dusted herself and then came to realize that she was still straddling Lukas, so she quickly rose up and then crossed her arms over her chest.

Lukas realized that he may have pushed her a little too much this time, especially when they've only known each other for less than a week. It truly was a surprise on why she hadn't gotten him kicked out yet.

"Did I go too far?"

Lily paused and came to look at him again. Her breathing was a little uneven, chest rising up and down, as she stared at him and then eventually she nodded slowly.

"Y-yes… this is the first time that someone has ever tried to act this way around me. I'm not sure how to react."

"Huh, seriously?" Lukas raised a brow, genuinely perplexed. "But you're a great woman–I don't get why people wouldn't want to hit on you."

"Haha, there are reasons." Lily laughed a little and rubbed the back of her neck. She looked at him in the eye and bit down on her lip. "If… if you want, could you tone it down a bit? I'm… I'm not exactly asking you to stop."

Lukas's lips curled into a grin and he nodded. "Don't worry, since you requested it to me so cutely–how could I find it within myself to say no?"

"You… you really do like flirting with girls this way huh?" Lily pouted and tucked a hair behind her ear. "I wonder how many women do you actually charm your way with this personality."

"Just you." he winked.

"Ah, I'm going back to work. You're free to join me." Lily's face was red as she resumed sorting and shredding the papers. She pointedly ignored the stare that was coming from him, which made him smile.

Even though Lukas had no encounter with the other two main women in the game–he couldn't help but feel like things weren't so bad. Lily Tenebris was the type of young woman that just made him feel good.

She was a good girl–and maybe Lukas could live with that?
