1938 Descending On Jiangshi Restricted Area, Chu Kuangren’s Treasured Blood, Legend Of The Hou Beast

The last location where the Dao contamination qi was sealed was in the Jiangshi Restricted Area.

As one of the Restricted Areas, getting inside was not easy, but not for Chu Kuangren.

When he arrived, a powerful surge of energy dispersed.

It was so powerful that it shook the entire Jiangshi Restricted Area.

“Whose energy is that?”

“It’s so powerful!”

Some of the Jiangshi came out to have a look.

When they saw Chu Kuangren standing in the air at their entrance, they were shocked.

“The Immortal King, Chu Kuangren!”

“What’s he doing here?”

“Strange. What is the Immortal King doing outside the Immortal World? He even came to our Restricted Area! Isn’t he afraid of us?”

Some of the elites looked at Chu Kuangren strangely.

Chu Kuangren’s name was the embodiment of power to many people because he had the Immortal King’s authority.

If he was out of the Immortal World, no matter how strong he truly was, there was a limit to his powers.

Some of the Jiangshi gulped while they looked at him with bloodthirsty gazes.

“His blood smells so good.”

“What is his blood made off? If we can drink his blood, it will mean a lot to us!”

Some of the Jiangshis’ eyes turned red, and their fangs were showing.

“Oh? Thirsty for my blood?” Chu Kuangren grinned.

Chu Kuangren’s blood was precious.

His body was the culmination of many mystical physiques, and even he had no idea what his blood could do or how precious it was.

If someone could refine a drop of his blood, he believed that person might immediately become an unmatched genius in battle.

“Jiangchen Tribe, stand down!”

Then, a female voice rang out.

A woman appeared in between the Jiangshi and Chu Kuangren.

It was the Drought Maiden.

Chu Kuangren knew her. In fact, they had a few encounters back in the Immortal World and even fought each other before.

“So they’re the Jiangchen Tribe? No wonder they’re thirsty for my blood,” Chu Kuangren said with a smile.

There were four tribes in the Jiangshi Restricted Area — the Hanba Tribe, Houqing Tribe, Yinggou Tribe, and the Jiangchen Tribe.

Jiangchen Tribe’s Jiangshi were bloodsuckers.

It was said that Jiangchen’s Jiangshi could grow stronger by absorbing others’ blood, and Chu Kuangren’s blood was a huge temptation to them.

“Open your eyes! The man before you is the reputable Immortal King! How dare you lose your manners in front of him?” the Drought Maiden bellowed.

“Immortal King? We’re not in the Immortal World.”

“Yeah. He’s only strong in the Immortal World. This is the Jiangshi Restricted Area. Anyone who trespasses will die. It’s the rule, and no one is exempted.”

“Stand down, Drought Maiden. I will suck his blood dry!”

Roar!

One of the Jiangshi lost his patience and jumped forward.

His figure flashed as he turned into a bolt of black lightning, zipping his way toward Chu Kuangren.

He widened his mouth, showing off his fangs as he tried to take a bite at Chu Kuangren.

The crimson eyes were a sign of bloodlust.

“Foolish,” Chu Kuangren bellowed.

The Immortal’s Core energy erupted, followed by a loud bang.

The Jiangshi that jumped on Chu Kuangren was blasted away immediately.

With his bones and tendons crushed, he fell to the ground like a pile of rotten meat.

It was just a blast of Immortal’s Core energy, yet it easily destroyed the Jiangshi that rivaled a Great Perfected Arch Gilded Immortal.

Chu Kuangren’s strength was terrifying.

The other Jiangchen Tribe’s Jiangshis were deterred and dared not act recklessly anymore. They all stared at Chu Kuangren with reverence.

“Is this how you welcome me? Is this what hospitality is like in the Restricted Area?” Chu Kuangren asked.

Then, his Immortal King’s aura intensified.

“Immortal King, please forgive their insubordination and lack of manners.” An indifferent voice sounded.

A blue-haired elder came out, carrying a domineering and scorching aura. Daoist Rhymes were resounding from his body.

He was an Embodier from the Hanba Tribe.

“Stand down,” he grunted as he glanced at the Jiangchen Tribe’s Jiangshis.

Due to their reverence for the Embodier, they were forced to stand down.

“I’m the Tribe Leader of the Hanba Tribe. Now that the irrelevant parties are gone, I wonder to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit, Immortal King?” the man asked.

“I’m here for the Dao contamination qi.” Chu Kuangren stated the intention of his visit.

The Hanba Tribe Leader’s eyes glinted. The Dao contamination qi had been sealed in the Jiangshi Restricted Area for countless years, and it had always been a ticking time bomb that troubled them.

Now that Chu Kuangren had offered to deal with it, there was no way the Hanba Tribe Leader would decline.

“The Dao contamination qi has many restriction seals around it, so we might need some time to remove it. Please give us a few more days.”

“That’s fine.”

Chu Kuangren did not mind staying for a few more days.

“Drought Maiden, take good care of the Immortal King for a few days.”

“My pleasure.”

The Drought Maiden licked her lips eagerly.

The Hanba Tribe Leader was rendered speechless. ‘Drought Maiden, do you have no integrity as a woman?’

“Damn it. Chu Kuangren is still so powerful even after he left the Immortal World!”

The Jiangchen Tribe Leader’s expression was grim as he looked at the Jiangshi who had just gotten killed.

“Tribe Leader, Chu Kuangreen’s blood is indeed tempting. I have a feeling that if we can suck his blood, it will greatly help us with our plan.”

One of the Jiangshis recalled the primal bloodlust boiling in him when he saw Chu Kuangren, and a hint of frenzy filled his face.

“I will not miss his treasured blood, but before that, we must think of a way to deal with him first.”

Chu Kuangren was too powerful.

The Jiangchen Tribe Leader had heard rumors about Chu Kuangren killing an Embodier back in the Immortal World.

“Tribe Leader, I don’t think we need to rush things. The Four Blood Supreme Pill is entering its crucial stage. We should focus on this first,” said another withered Jiangshi.

“Yeah, you are right, Advisor. You mentioned that the Four Blood Supreme Pill is lacking one last trigger, right?”

“Yes. The Four Blood Supreme Pill’s Yin qi is too strong. We have to use the Hanba True Flame to suppress it, but the common Hanba True Flame can’t do the job,” said the old Jiangshi.

“What about the Drought Maiden’s blood? Is it strong enough?”

“The Drought Maiden is the strongest Prodigy of the Hanba Tribe. If we can get her blood, we can definitely use it as a guide or a trigger in the pill.”

“Very well.”

A hint of coldness flashed in Jiangchen Tribe Leader’s eyes. “Out of the four tribes in the Jiangshi Restricted Area, only we are without an Embodier. In a few more days, the Jiangchen Tribe will be the ruler of this Restricted Area!”

Chu Kuangren toured the Jiangshi Restricted Area for a few days.

He saw and met many Jiangshi, which was intriguing.

The four tribes had their own unique power.

The Jiangchen Tribe absorbed blood to strengthen themselves, the Hanba Tribe controlled the true flame, and the Houqing Tribe possessed great speed and excelled in curses.

As for the Yinggoug Tribe, they were known for their vast and substantial undead qi. Moreover, they possessed the strongest physical bodies out of the four tribes.

Other than that, Chu Kuangren sensed a faint connection between the four tribes.

“Legend has it that a beast from the wasteland, named Hou, tormented the past. It was so strong that it was called the forefather of all beasts, and it even feasted on dragons. It was fierce.

“However, it was later killed by Fuxi and Nuwa together, but its soul remained undead. It split into three parts and fused with Houqing, Yinggou, and Hanba’s bodies, making them the forefathers of Jiangshi.

“Its body then fused with a divine tree, becoming Jiangchen. Is the legend true?” Chu Kuangren asked the Drought Maiden with a smile.
