615 615. DARKENED

The inscribed circles and triangles were mainly red and silver, but the floating silver blood remained the center point of the entire event and eventually, It fell to the ground.

The second Noah's blood touched the magical inscriptions, a burst of silver light unfolded into the room and a strange wind gushed forth, pushing even Erolia away.

<nulli>Stunning.

The center of the triangle and circles quickly became blinding as the light visibly took shape.

Still mesmerized by the entire event, Noah felt taken aback when the light abruptly vanished and he could see a figure before him.

"Oh," he exclaimed softly, laying eyes on a replica of himself. Only that this replica had black hair.

He approached the figure. It was naked, had its eyes closed, and exuded no aura. Funnily it featured no genitals.

<nulli>"This is very weird—!!" Any further words were cut short by the severe pain that spiraled into his mind.

He felt like his head had been split in two and was being pulled to separate the halves. The reality of his situation was not too far from that sensation.

Still, he felt so much pain that he fell to his face as though <nulli>dead—but was only limp. The shock had been terrible.

Silver blood flowed out of his nose and ears, but the real event happened on the inside, where a clean line appeared on one side of his shimmering soul core. Tremors ravaged his soul island.

The portion featuring the line slid downward, revealing that it had been cleanly cut by an invisible force.

The severed part tried to float away, but multicolored tendrils latched unto it from the exposed insides of his silver and black core.

A small battle of pure forceunfolded, but the skills provided by the system had a 100% successful activation rate. As such, those multicolored tendrils could only lose.

The severed half disappeared at that point followed by the multicolored substance that was his soul energy.

A terrible tremor unfolded in Noah's soul realm, but nothing could be done.

The transfer had been completed. A simple golden line floated out of Noah's head to latch unto the clone's forehead signaling the connection between the two.

A spectacular change occurred to the physical features of the clone.

Little unstable portions of his features solidified and it took the form of Noah's current features based on the information available to it.

This fluid alteration was only possible thanks to Noah's blood originating from <nulli>speed essence.

Its black hair changed to mimic his silver and white hair and its height was altered to match his exact length.

It took a few seconds for this process to be complete, but after it, the clone's eyes snapped open to reveal identical silver eyes.

Its gaze swept the room and fell on the figure of a clothed Noah still laying on the ground.

There was intelligence in its silver eyes.

<nulli>"So this is a more advanced clone," he muttered through the lips of the replica. Despite the half-unconscious state of his real body, he could still make use of his mind within the clone.

<nulli>"Interesting…"

Noah recovered soon after and trained with the clone, mapping out its features rather easily.

It took a test of faith to make it appear before Elder Sarah, and even she couldn't tell the difference.

As such, Noah interacted with the others utilizing his clone.

On the day agreed that they should kill him, he had considered simply vanishing, but he required total freedom, there were still things he had to do in his life.

The war wasn't too urgent to him. Particularly now that he had delivered a whole lot of resources to the guild.

From that point on he had done enough, now all he could do was hope none of his close friends died.

Sitting cross-legged in the cultivation room, Noah had his eyes closed as he concentrated on doing two things.

One of which was fighting, but the other remained more technical. To make his death even more convincing he had to erase the traces of the oath on him.

He had to do this at the exact moment his clone detonated since anything before that could raise questions.

All he did was simply get a hang of the oath, he had been doing so for the past couple of days and now he believed it was ready.

Speed essence helped greatly thanks to its natural affinity to deal with mana.

He still had to be cautious though, since even though the oath had already washed off significantly during his evolution into a Speedling, It remained volatile enough to nearly kill him.

It was obvious a tier 5 expert had created the oath.

Multitasking whilst engaging in a battle made even he sweat. Something about the usage of those skills pushed even his great stamina to its limits.

Maybe because it was a skill related to the speed force. Normal elemental magic barely did anything to him until he spammed them.

Not having the full capabilities of his mind available for usage took the greatest toll, and he almost wished he never made that decision.

Noah heaved a heated sigh as beads of sweat broke on his forehead to stream down his face. His attire was now drenched in sweat and his hair stuck to his back.

Fatigue told in his expression and his chest had begun to rise and fall in a rhythm gradually growing in intensity.

<nulli>"Fuck." Even he exclaimed, his voice mostly being a whisper. At this point, the other experts had been sent away, and now he and Adonis stared at each other.

The battle before then had been heavily based on spells, thankfully the expert asked for a brawl. Still, due to the limits of his clone, it couldn't wield his physical items, like Mullix, his daggers, and so on.

He hoped that changed in the fifth tier. But for now, he neared his limits terribly. Nevertheless, he closed his eyes to focus on the fight.

By the time he grabbed onto Adonis's neck, he pushed all his efforts both into dispelling the oath and creating mental cushions.

<nulli>Still.

At the instant of the clone's detonation, Noah felt intense heat burst on his insides, yet that remained bearable compared to the surprisingly deafening bang he felt in his head!

His consciousness darkened instantly—the mental cushions having been powerless before the damage of a shattered soul fragment.

I hope you enjoyed it!
