Chapter 606 606. HUG

The item Noah had been sent to retrieve was a rather strange object under production by the coming together of the guilds. Or at least the guilds with enough resources to spare for that project.

A powerful magical ring that held the type of pressure capable of crushing even lower stage tier 4's by them simply being in its presence.

Thankfully a storage item had been created specifically for that ring. This was what Noah would see when they handed the item over to him.

Not even he knew what was within it. He also didn't care now that he knew he would be ganged up against by reason of the order from the royals.

The meeting with the members of the flaming heritage guild remained short. Noah had made it so on purpose.

Erolia's figure suddenly loomed above them and he ascended to the skies to meet his companion. The experts from the guild could only wave him goodbye in awe of his beast.

Noah met and even exceeded the standards they had set in their minds concerning the great guilds. From his looks to his power level to his beautiful yet terrifying beast.

They each wondered what it would be like to interact with such experts daily. Not to talk of having an entire guild full of them!

The journey back to the guild's floating island was snappy. Noah delivered the good and didn't even bother to ask what it was.

The elders also noticed the change in his existence. He had stopped being dull.

He left them with questions, and they could not ask too.

"By the gods! Is this real?" Elder Sarah's voice boomed on the insides of her mansion, and were it not for their enclosed location her voice would have been able to catch the attention of an entire stadium.

As such, the entire mansion trembled and she alerted a meditating Jane.

"Master you should be careful with your expressions…. Sheesh," Noah clicked his tongue in faked annoyance.

Her voice had been loud, but it did not hurt him one bit. He was truly worlds above her in terms of levels despite being in the same stage as her.

"How do you expect me to remain calm? You're back to the Aiden I've known for decades now."

"Yeah–yeah, I'm back now… hopefully I don't have to adopt such a state again or something," Noah walked past his master, she had encountered him the moment he entered her mansion.

He sat, feeling at home for the first time in a while. Comfort wasn't much of a focus before, thanks to the stone heart skill.

She turned to face him, still feeling strange.

Soon enough Jane rushed forth into the room and Noah glanced at her before tilting his head to the side. Surprisingly she instantly sensed the difference in his gaze.

Jane had been the only one who had not properly known Noah before the skill changed him. So the person she saw sitting remained an essentially different person.

"Jane… I see you've been Improving," Noah remarked and he watched her eyes widen in shock.

"Here we go again," Erolia's voice rang out in his head, and he struggled to bottle up his laughter, even if he managed to. For some reason, she didn't like Jane.

Jane's gaze bounced from Noah's figure to her master's and she could only remain still.

"Master…"

"Yes-yes. I know. The bastard's suddenly normal," Elder Sarah scoffed.

"I don't know why this is such an event," Noah adopted a blank expression.

"Jane you can return to your room."

"Yeah she should," Erolia commented again expressing her strange dislike.

"Ya'll should calm down really," Noah sighed having to battle three ladies at the same time. He almost wished he couldn't feel the pressure of their gazes on him.

A wave of seriousness swept the room at that point, and Honestly, Noah had not expected that level of severity.

He decided to take their emotions seriously.

Before then, he had been unable to communicate properly with them. He had sensed Jane's feelings towards him and Sarah's longing for one of her old friends. Her second and best student.

Noah stood, approached Elder Sarah, and did something he had never thought he would do. He wrapped his arms around her neck in a rather warm embrace.

"I'm sorry, master."

Silence

Elder Sarah took a deep breath before returning his hug. She spent a few seconds in that embrace before a powerful bang swept the room.

Noah's figure shot through the building and he ended up bursting through most of its length.

"Who told you you could hug me?" Elder Sarah asked in faked rage, her vibrant purple hair dancing gracefully in the wind her punch had generated.

Noah could only chuckle.

"I thought an old lady such as you would be starved of some sort of affectionate expression," Noah mocked playfully.

"Ehh! Do you wanna die you son of a--" Her words were cut short by her sudden acceleration. The ground shattered as a result of her movement despite the higher-stage reinforcement protecting the building.

Noah managed to get on his feet the instant her figure flashed before him. He raised his left arm to block her kick. And the entire building had been nearly blown away.

Jane had to set up most of the barriers she could deploy, and she still almost died as a result of the clash!

Noah had a cheesy smile across his face seeing his master's leg on his arm.

"You've gotten slow, ma'am," he stuck his tongue out for an instant knowing fully well what was about to happen.

"Oh," Elder Sarah's tone scrapped the ground whilst violet sparks flickered silently but dangerously around her figure. "Let's see who wouldn't be able to keep up."

"You might die," Noah mocked again even if his hands moved to block her nine blows in the span of an instant. They felt stronger now that she had advanced.

"Still not enough," Noah teased vanishing from her sight. His figure appeared behind her and she spun mere milliseconds later, unleashing a punch in the process.

Unfortunately, Noah vanished again and appeared a few meters behind her.

"Tch." She clicked her tongue straightening her figure to glance at him. Her eyes swept the environment, a worried and frustrated Jane, her destroyed mini castle, and of course the terribly powerful person before her.

She felt glad that she could relate to him as she did many years prior. He felt like a lost son returned.

If only she knew her student would soon be taken away again. Ironically.
