"Absolutely not," Lana said. "Even with three healers on his side, if he gets attacked by dozens of those at the same time, Jake will die. I can't agree with this plan."
"Hmm… I was thinking it might work since Jake is fast and knows how to use a sword," Clark said while rubbing his chin. "I suppose this kind of stunt is too much. I probably am not thinking clearly since I never had a front liner on my party. My apologies."
"It is fine. Let's go with that plan of yours," Jake said, and then he looked at the girls. "You can relax. I can manage against the reptilians. Besides, it isn't like they can attack me all at the same time."
"Jake, you should see a doctor to examine your head, this is clearly absurd," Lana said.
"We know that you are an adrenaline junkie, but even that has limits… probably," Louise added.
"You guys have so little faith on me," Jake shrugged. "As you can see by looking at the skill list, this kind of situation will repeat itself many times. We might as well get used to it. Besides, it isn't like any of you has a better idea."
"Well, let's use our heads to think of a new one," Clark said. "I don't know what I was thinking when I came up with such an idea."
"Nah, it is fine," Jake said. "Besides, I feel like I need to let some steam out. Still, before we do that, can you repeat what you said before? You have a skill that grants you extra damage with bows the more you defeat enemies? Where did you get that?"
"Some people gain some skills when they entered the game, our guild master refers to them as the innate skills," Clark said. "I thought you guys had some since your group is so small and yet, you guys are also strong."
Jake decided to keep quiet about the theme and started to ponder about it. Innate skills… considering their names, then it was safe to assume that they were somehow related to their users. Still, Jake couldn't understand how come he had seven of those. As far as he could tell, neither of them represented the aspects of his life, but the same thing couldn't be said about Lana and Louise. Nevertheless, it was time to focus on the mission ahead and think about that later.
After dividing the group into three, everyone assumed their positions. Lana and two other healers were behind Jake, while Louise was on the west side of the area with Clark. The others were hidden in the opposite direction… while night had already fallen, the city still was well illuminated. It seemed that they were very far away from the equatorial line of that planet. Nevertheless, Jake began to walk toward the monsters slowly to make sure to taunt them. It will be a problem if they don't fall for it and decide to use Water Balls instead.
Lana and the other priests were hidden, so some Reptilians felt his presence and then began to run toward him. When the first group arrived, Jake used Mana Blade two times and finished two off when he destroyed their heads, but then the other three jumped and aimed their spears at themselves. However, Jake blocked them with his Kite shield. While he was starting to get used to the claymore, using a two-handed weapon in that situation would be too hard.
After being pushed down for a few meters, Jake saw the monsters falling on the ground and then dashed toward them. He couldn't be helped unless the whole army turned their eyes to face him. So, Jake smashed his shield against the head of one, and when the monster stumbled, he beheaded the creature. As for the other two, they tried to surround him, but Jake finished them off by using Cyclone Strike. At that point in time, hundreds of monsters were looking at Jake due to the noise of the battle. Still, it wasn't enough.

"This will take too long…" Jake said while showing a bored expression.
Before the next group of enemies could approach, Jake took out his claymore from the magic box, and then he fired several Mana Blades toward the numerous Reptilians guarding the dungeon. Several of them died, but a large number got wounded since he focused on causing damage in a larger area than properly killing as many as possible. Thanks to that, Jake got the attention of almost three hundred Reptilians, and when those began to move, the others also noticed him.
When more than half of those monsters began to move, the other two groups also began to advance, and since the monsters never noticed them, they began to skill the monsters at an alarming pace with magic and arrows. Still, Jake couldn't afford to look at others since dozens of Reptilians were dashing toward him like possessed creatures.
"It seems my attack has worked even better than expected," Jake said and then equipped his katana and shield again.
"Tell me… do you have a death wish or something?"
Lana and the others priests finally left their hideout when they saw What Jake had done. They had no other option since their job was to keep Jake alive, after all.
