Neutral planet… Jake wondered if it was because the place had only vegetal types of life forms and no monsters, and no signs of civilizations whatsoever. Although Jake had considered the possibility of raising his herbs there, he didn't know if it was the best decision. He didn't even know if he would return to the same spot he was when he accepted the mission, after all.

"If you guys are interested, we can take you to our camp to see how things are, you don't have to promise that you will join us," Clark said.

"Is it fine to reveal the location of your guild to strangers so fast?" Lana asked.

"It isn't like we are the only ones there or like we are trying to hide anything," Clark replied. "The number of humans have been increasing as of late in that planet, but it still has a long way to go, so we interact with many guilds."

That seemed like the wisest thing to do since death now was more than real. Learning about such a place was what Jake wanted, to meet other people and then negotiate for items. Still, he felt like he couldn't trust Clark. For that matter, he felt like he couldn't trust Luke either, so it was hard to say if it was just his antisocial behavior as usual or his instincts warning him.

"Sure, why not?" Jake asked with a smile on his face.

"Again with that sentence…" Lana said and then sighed.

In the end, there was only one way to find out if his instincts were reliable or not. He had to go to that guild and see things by himself. Once again, Louise couldn't help but wonder if Jake was doing the right thing. He should have at least consulted the others. As for Lana, she was also a bit surprised, but nothing more than that.

"All right, once we finish the mission, we will talk about it," Clark said, and then he saw another group approaching. "First of all… let's clean this place a little bit."

Even when so many Reptilians were approaching, Jake didn't have to deal with more than two or three at a time when he got close enough to them. It almost looked like Clark and his group made their formation knowing very well that an offensive party would be the best option against the Reptilians. Either they got lucky, or they received information from their guild. There was also the possibility that they tried all the other missions and fought against many monsters and learned that this type was the best suited for them. However, Jake discarded that idea since they were supposed to have cleared the first five missions of the tutorial without suffering a game over. It was hard to imagine how they would do that without a frontline.

Reptilian's Spear

Spearmanship, speed + 03 (0%), master this weapon to permanently obtain the skill and its status points.

Durability: 20/20

Spearmanship: it increases the damage when using spears and scythes by one point per level.

While Jake was thinking about that, the group obtained an item, and then Clark picked the weapon and gave it to Jake. As expected, he didn't like that… everything was just too suspicious from Jake's perspective.

"You should master this first, it will help since you fight up close," Clark said.

"All right, thanks," Jake said.

"Wait, you know how to say thank you?" Lana asked, visibly astonished. "I am shocked."

Jake sighed but then decided to ignore Lana. She was starting to get the idea of how to get on his nerves due to her numerous tries. While she didn't try that at first, now she was really eager to do it since Jake replied to her most of the time with sarcasm. Nevertheless, for a while longer, Jake used the spear, which looked like the tail of a reptile, to fight. While his ability with that weapon wasn't the same, he made up for it by using skills.

In the end, the day passed rather quickly, even though the group only had a brief moment of rest at noon. It was quite shocking, but they defeated thousands of reptilians with ease… and they also found a dungeon in the center of the abandoned town. Not to mention, they also found around five hundred reptilians guarding the place.

"We fought a lot today, but if we stop to rest now, they will have the chance to recover their numbers and then we will lose several hours defeating them tomorrow," Clark said. "I think we should try to defeat at least the guards and then defeat the boss first thing in the morning. What do you guys think?"

Clark's group was with him since his reasoning was sound. In fact, even Jake was up for that. The only problem was that they would have to use a lot of resources, and Jake was the only front liner, so he would be in danger… unless he used his black flames and Lana kept healing him non-stop.

"What is the plan?" Lana asked. "Unless we hear it and confirm that no one will be in imminent danger, we can't say if we will accept it or not."

"Let's see… a pincher attack from both sides might do the work, but we will need a distraction," Clark rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I can gain extra damage with bows the more enemies I kill while not being interrupted, so after a while, I will be able to wipe out many enemies with area of effect attacks. The mages of my group can do something similar. So, I think it would be a good idea to let the healers help Jake attract the monster and the others will attack from the sides."

Jake wondered if that guy was just insane or extremely stupid. He was asking someone he had just met to become a living bait in one hell of a very difficult situation… However, right at that moment, Jake was more interested in what he had heard earlier… Clark said that he and his mages had some pretty useful skills. Too good to be ordinary skills that can be obtained from items.
