The boss' claws dropped on the ground, most of the carapace had been damaged, and the internal parts also suffered a lot from the continuous attacks. Still, the monster could and tried to bite Jake, who was exhausted and searching for some green angel leaves on his back. In the end, Louise hit the monster's face with an Ice Arrow, but it didn't stop the boss from hitting Jake. His shield protected him, but he still was sent flying for several meters.

"Ah… I feel alive again," Jake said and then suddenly got up when his stamina was recovered by fifty points.
It seemed like Jake was exaggerating or trying to joke around, but he wasn't the type of person who would do that when he wanted to defeat the boss so badly. Nevertheless, the boss could only try to smash the party or keep using magic to disrupt their attacks without its claws.
"Try to hit the tail of the boss. Focus only on that," Jake said, and then he charged toward the boss again.
Instead of a direct attack, Jake began to run around the boss, and then he noticed that the creature was completely on defensive mode. Looking at him and at Louise, that could use powerful magic. In the end, when the creature was forced to choose a target, the boss charged at the girls.
Jake also dashed, but this time toward the tail of the creature. Jake used all his remaining mana to fire Mana Blades toward the tail of the monster. The creature suddenly turned around and made its side get hit by the attack, but then the creature didn't find Jake. In the next moment, Jake landed on the back of the creature and then mercilessly attack the tail. Each strike was causing two hundred points of damage… it was almost like the tail had no defense.
The boss tried to slap the tail on Jake's face, and it actually succeeded in making him stagger for a moment. Still, Jake recovered fast enough and resumed his torrent of attacks. The monster made the ground shake, but then a concentrated Ice Arrow on the face made the monster stop and gave Jake two full seconds to attack mercilessly, and that had been enough to finish the beast.
