They didn't say anything, indeed, of that. Michel, a blond and green-haired guy summoned an army of skeletons all of a sudden. He sure looked confident, and that didn't fit a necromancer. Thanks to the massive army, Jake lost sight of Rhobat. He was well known for attacking from behind his targets the moment they least waited for it… His ability to conceal his presence was truly unrivaled.

Leah and Liu stepped forward silently. Despite the odds, they didn't want to let the skeletons do all the job. They also looked pretty confident, so Jake raised his guard. His first conclusion was that they unlocked a cardinal sin as well and wanted to use it against Jake. He wished that he could commend their bravery, but since it was the same as stupidity.

Both of them had short black hair, and they looked pretty young since they were the youngest of the guild masters, but that wouldn't make Jake go easier on them.

Jake summoned his sword and then enhanced it with his dark flames. Once that happened. Leah and Liu charged at Jake. Liu tried to impale his head, and Leah attacked from the side when he began to move his arms. She was aiming at his elbows to break them… In the end, Jake jumped to the side and dodged both of them. However, a Skeleton jumped on him and then exploded.

Jake moved his sword and contained the explosion by creating a powerful shockwave. Still, Leah approached from the side again and tried to kick him. Jake blocked the attack with his left arm. While his defense was enough to negate the attack, Jake felt his arm getting numb, and he immediately moved away from her. Jake didn't feel any poison or mana reacting in any suspicious way, so he confirmed that it was a deadly sin in action… one they could make lose the sense of touch… Could it be Sloth? Regardless, Jake didn't have time to think about that.

Liu approached instantly while using Flash and then thrust his spear at Jake's neck. It was already ten centimeters away from him, but Jake moved faster to the side, and then he was surrounded by even more skeletons. Spears emerged from their bodies and tried to pierce him, but they turned into dust when Jake summoned a wall of dark flames around him and then expanded to engulf the monsters.

"You sure like to use skeletons in a weird way," Jake said.

The enemies gritted their teeth in anger, Jake was using the power of their fallen friend and then joking about them at the same time. Still, they didn't let their anger control them. They knew about Jake's abilities, and while he had gotten stronger with Helena's dark flames, he shouldn't be more skilled than her. They just had to keep that in mind…

Moreover, they knew that the flames would tire the mind of the user. Mages had more resistance against that, but Jake should get even tired faster. Regardless, Leah and Liu began to run around Jake and looked for an opening. During that time, Jake didn't feel his arm getting better… Leah had to die, or she had to move away in order for the effects to disappear completely.

Perhaps grabbing her and using her body as a shield would do the trick… Jake was pissed to the point that using such a tactic didn't make him even flinch. Moreover, he was fighting four against one; cowardice wasn't something he had to worry about it. Cowardice in such situations becomes a tactic.

When they found out about Jake's intentions, they stepped backward, and Michel kept sending his skeletons to their second death. To tire his mind faster, all of them exploded as soon as they got close enough. Jake blocked one side with his sword and the other with his dark flames. Still, something was weird about that. The damage to the flames was minimal. A single person worth of mana wouldn't be enough to exhaust his mind unless…

Unless Michel also has the power of a sin, and that power makes him recover mana faster. Michel was hiding behind an endless wave of skeletons, and their numbers weren't decreasing, so that confirmed things. Still, even the sin skills have limits… He needed some sort of condition to keep using it.

"Is it lust? Or greed to defeat me?" Jake Pondered. "Since he didn't move from his spot, perhaps it is Sloth… either way, I have to deal with it.

Jake hit the ground with his sword and then made the dark flames expand and increase the area in which he could move. At the same time, he raised his sword and then gathered all his mana on it. Before long, a lot of energy was ready to be unleashed at the Necromancer. When they felt the danger, Leah and Liu approached to block the attack… They had guts if anything, since it was impossible to block an attack that could destroy an entire city. Unless… They have the power of sin as well.

Regardless, Jake didn't let that stop him. He swung his sword to kill at least one of them with the attack. However, when he did that, he felt his back being pierced by something and moved toward his heart.

Jake immediately summoned a wall of dark flames around him, and then he felt something being pulled away from his body. When he turned around, he saw Rhobat moving away… He was expecting that he would come, but not at such a moment… The blade didn't reach his heart, but Jake could feel a lot of blood coming from the wound.

"You are already dead…" Rhobat said, and then he turned invisible.

Jake clicked his tongue. He had no idea how, but it looked like Rhobat also had the power of a sin… His power completely ignored Jake's armor and his endurance and almost pierced his heart instantly… A skill that granted him the power to do something no matter what? It was the only explanation…

Jake felt the life leaving his body… He didn't have much time left… To make things worse, he looked at the other three, and he saw that they were alive. A massive number of skeletons was used to block most of the attack, and the final amount of power of the skill had been blocked by Leah and Liu. They were bleeding from many parts of their bodies, but they weren't that close to death.

"... Sin skills that can be used for defense," Jake thought while he looked at the path of destruction on the sides and in front of the enemy. "I don't have time for this… I need to kill them and cancel the effect of the wound on my back…"

That was easier said than done… By the look of things, those guys had those skills for a while, perhaps even before that first fight that he had with the guild masters. They choose to lose that fight instead of showing what they could do, and they let a lot of their comrades die. That really pissed Jake… He was betrayed once, and the few that were following him were mostly cowards. So, he valued the loyalty of those who had the strength to follow other paths instead of the only one possible for most… Still, it was a waste of time to get angry in that situation since their allies that died betrayed and lured him into a trap.

Regardless, now that the enemies knew that Jake was about to die. They weren't doing anything… Afraid of a suicide attack, they were keeping their distance. Jake sighed since that gave him the chance that he was looking for… It was time to make them pay for their stupidity as well.

Jake couldn't take much mana from the environment as fast as he wanted, so the sword took some time to amass the mana. That wasn't something that the enemies knew that he could do, so they opened their eyes widely. Things didn't end there… Jake also used all of his focus to summon the dark flames and envelop the sword.

The enemies stepped back since that was a dangerous combination. Moreover, they hadn't recovered from the previous attack, and another one, even with half of the strength certainly would kill them. In the end, they didn't have the nerve to try to attack him again, and those three began to back away.

Before they could escape, Jake prepared to swing his sword with all his might at them. However, at the last moment, he felt his heart being pierced… At the same time, he swung his sword down as fast as he could, and he ended up splitting the assassin in half.

The enemy looked at him in shock when his body fell to the ground… He was truly greedy, if he had just waited, Jake would have died due to the blood loss, and now he was agonizing on the ground, unable to move. All that because he wanted Jake's powers to himself.
