Still, before they could do anything, Jake jumped from the tower, and when he landed, he hit the ground smashing the head of one of the frozen salamanders and then using Fire Strike, Heat Wave, and Explosive Touch to raise a massive steam cloud.
Even without seeing anything, the frozen salamanders knew the direction Jake landed, so they used Ice Breath, but that only made the steam cloud become thicker, and they didn't feel anything being hit by their attacks.
Jake couldn't spend so much energy, so he only enhanced the upper side of his axe with dark flames before dashing toward the first enemy. When the enemy felt his presence, he used Flash, and he stopped moving when his weapon pierced the skull of the monster.

It didn't take long for other monsters to attack Jake, but the ice spears that they fired only collided with each other after he kicked the ground and returned to the steam cloud. Without hesitation, he used Flash toward one of them while ignoring the Ice Breath and went for the creature's head. Once again, he killed the monster in a single strike, but he was more focused on the fact that he broke the encirclement and then began to run to attack the nearby Frozen Salamanders.
Some of the monsters managed to hit Jake with that spell, but he ignored the damage and kept attacking the heads of the monsters. In that formation, they couldn't do much aside from using that spell. They could run forward and use Ice Breath, but they couldn't run backward and do the same. That was the downside of having such bodies.

Even if Jake uses flash and kills one or two of them extremely fast, it won't be enough to escape. To make things even more complicated, they used the same strategy that Jake used before…
Somehow, the salamanders used their Ice Breath to create a prison of ice around Jake. Thanks to that, he saw himself inside an ice cylinder that was one hundred meters tall, and there wasn't a single part in the walls that he could use to grab.
