Instead of letting the enemy attack again first, Jake dashed toward him, and at the last minute, he used Flash toward him. The enemy tried to counterattack in time by thrusting his spear toward Jake, but he missed the attack, and Billy cut a bit of his left side. The robotic spearman clicked his tongue and then saw Jake ready to attack in the same way. He jumped to the side since he didn't want to let the effects of the poison stack. Unfortunately for him, Jake predicted that and changed the trajectory of the attack and cut a bit of his robotic arm. That couldn't be poisoned, but the damage was there.
The robotic spearman began to spin the spear in front of himself and created a shield to block all the angles of Jake's attacks. Jake began to run around the enemy, but he turned as well and didn't give him any openings…
Jake used Boomerang Shield and made his fly around in a wide arc toward the enemy's back, and while the robotic spearman kept an eye on the object and on him, Jake still charged for attacking even before his shield could approach. The enemy blocked his sword with his spear, but then he used Cyclone Strike, Swarm, and Full Slash, and the combination made the enemy step back a bit.
He moved his left arm to grab the shield that finally approached, and Jake used that chance to attack even more furiously than before… Bash, Cyclone Strike, Sward… all of those combined with Explosive Touch made the enemy suffer some damage while he was guarding. When he finally grabbed the shield, Jake did the same and grabbed the enemy's spear.
The enemy got surprised by that and then tried to kick Jake's stomach to push him away, but he jumped and dodged the attack, and then he swung his sword toward the enemy's head. The robotic spearman dropped the shield and then tried to block the attack with his left arm; the sword strike aimed at his head. The enemy managed to do that, but he lost half of his hand thanks to it.
In the end, the enemy suddenly made his robotic arm become red, and then his strength increased, and managed to push his weapon away from Jake's grasp. He was pushed backward without being able to recover his shield, but Jake wasn't so worried about that. After all, he had learned something important at the cost of his shield.
After becoming red, the robotic arm turned white again, and the enemy furrowed his eyebrows while looking at Jake. As soon as he stopped moving, Jake dashed toward the enemy, and the robotic spearman did the same. Instead of focusing on blocking the other attacks, they aimed at their heads, and their dodging maneuvers were mirrored when they twitched their necks.
In the end, even the damage that they suffered in the face was pretty much the same as they felt some blood falling down from their cheeks after getting hurt. Jake found the shield in front of him, but he didn't have the chance to grab it since he heard the enemy turning around to attack him again. Still, Jake approached the object, and once he passed by it, he kicked with all his might toward the enemy.
The robotic spearman grabbed the shield with his right hand, but that made him lose sight of Billy for a fraction of a second. Still, he felt his bloodlust rising and immediately increased the output of the arm. Still, Billy's attack aimed at the robotic arm still hit the elbow and damaged it, making some sparks emerge from it.
"It was a clean hit… I guess the arm also gets tougher when it becomes like that," Jake thought.
To make matters worse, even despite the damage to the elbow, the robotic arm still looked fine… the enemy wouldn't drop his guard again when it came to attacks on that area, so Jake felt a bit annoyed. Still, while the enemy was accessing the damage suffered,

Once again, the enemy raised his guard since he could tell that Jake was preparing something big… he took a step back since Concentrated Strike could be really troublesome at times, but he only made Jake smirk.
The smirk pissed the enemy so much that his whole body turned red. Maybe he was from a species that had that kind of characteristic, and their anger boosted their attack power and resilience. Still, that only worked in Billy's favor since it made the enemy charge at him.
Despite the situation, Jake also could tell that the enemy got tougher with his anger. In the end, the subsequent dispute started before Billy didn't charge his next attack too much, but he didn't run away from the exchange. He didn't have time for that, and while he ran away from many problems before, he never ran away from a good fight. Unless it would be suicide against numbers type of fight.
