The creature opened its mouth even before he could reach the area, and sparks were coming from it. The eagle was like ten meters tall, and the final room was at least four hundred meters deep. So, if anything, it had a lot of room to fly around...

Jake wasn't surprised by the parameters of the beast. He got surprised when he saw a sphere of energy being charged in front of its mouth. He knew that the creature would use Thunder Beam, and that couldn't be compared to Thunder Spear. Still, Jake was already prepared for that kind of thing… he enhanced his sword with dark flames and then used Mana Blade. Surprisingly, a mana blade covered in dark flames flew toward the monster's mouth, but the beast used its own attack to stop that. The dark flames had anti-magical and physical properties. However, the attack still evaporated… such as the power of Thunder Beam. Still, Jake bought enough time for himself to land in the last room.

The monster took flight and then began to move around the last room. While looking around, Jake felt that the place was like ten blocks wide and long, it didn't seem much if compared to the speed of the beast, but it would be weirder if the place was even bigger.

The monster suddenly began to bombard the area Jake was in with Thunder Spears, and he avoided those by using Flash while zigzagging. He also used Mana Blade with his dark flames a few times, but the monster was fast enough to repel his attacks with some Thunder Spears. It seemed that the beast was spending more energy, but with that much recovery, it would be a waste of time to try that strategy.

While running in circles, Jake also let the monsters hit him with a few Thunder spears here and there. He blocked them with his sword, but that still gave him an excuse to stop moving and let the monster approach a bit. Jake jumped with all his might toward the monster when the beast got close enough.

Jake tried to attack the neck of the beast with his sword and dark flames, but the boss didn't hesitate to attack him back with its beaks. Surprisingly enough, while the monster grunted in pain due to the power of the flames, it still managed to repel him back to the ground.

Jake readied himself for the thunder beam, but the beast didn't recover that fast. Before he could land, he combined Mana Blades and dark flames while targeting the right wing of the monster, and while he caused some damage, it wasn't enough… Still, Jake noticed that his flames decreased the max mana of the beast.

"I guess direct physical attacks seal health, and long-ranged magical attacks seal mana…" Jake thought when he landed.

Usually, that would be good to know. Still, since mages usually have less health than mana, a lot less, it was better to focus on killing them as soon as possible, unless they have skills that also canceled damage to their mana. Regardless, things started the same way as before. The monster began to fly around while attacking Jake from a distance. No damage was being done, but that sure was annoying. The beast was smart enough not to underestimate him since it probably knew that Jake exterminated the army outside.

Plan A failed, so Jake had to try new tricks since the monster wouldn't fall for it again. He took one of the ninja kunai that he got the other day and then used Throw with all his power toward the face of the enemy. The beast decided to play it safe and then used Thunder Spear to attack the weapon, but the projectile passed through those with ease since he enhanced it with a lot of dark flames.

In the end, the monster was forced to use Thunder Beam to stop the attack. Jake smirked when he saw that… the spell created a flash of light in front of the monster and made it lose sight of him for a short while. When the attack ended, Jake was no longer where he was supposed to be...

The beast looked around in search of him, but there were no signs of Jake. All of a sudden, the monster saw a shield covered in dark flames flying toward its face, but the beast stopped it with a powerful barrage of Thunder Spears.

The monster didn't see Jake because he was silently using Flash on the walls of the last room. He would have made noise if he were to run normally. Still, he wasn't… honestly, he didn't know if he would be able to pull that off, but he managed after making the enemy get distracted two times. In the end, the monster only realized what happened when Jake landed on its back. Without any hesitation, Jake attacked the back of the head of the beast with his sword and his dark flames moving around viciously.

"HYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" The boss cried in a high-pitched scream.

Jake got dizzy when he felt that, but he didn't stop. He kept attacking viciously even when the blood began to fall like a waterfall. However, much to his surprise, the monster used Thunder Beam, and the magic attack flew in a wide arc before it hit him…
