Without any other option, Jake was forced to let go of his sword, and then he used Flash to the side to escape the attack… he escaped, but he got extremely pissed when the enemy made his sword disappear… he put it hi his magic box. That was his favorite sword…
"... Are you really going to do that?" Jake asked.
The bald man could only smirk. He knew how much Jake liked that sword… he did that only to annoy him, and it was clear as the sky that he wanted to make Jake realize that. After letting out a long sigh, Jake thought of getting his Orc Hero's Sword, but it wouldn't surprise him if the enemy tried to snatch it that way as well. He had enough strength to pull that kind of stunt, even without a skill that would help him take away items from the enemy.
For a moment, Jake considered using the golden sword and the golden armor to try to negate the difference in strength and the damage that he was going to receive, but he changed his mind. Instead of that, Jake equipped his old katana since he decided to keep with him all his weapons.
In the end, the enemy could only scoff at that. Such a weak weapon will never block his blade. The bald man charged toward Jake and swung his sword with all his might horizontally. Jake jumped backward while holding his weapon to block the strike, but as expected, almost the whole blade broke with a single attack.
The enemy eventually saw what Jake did… instead of using another weapon, he used his flames in the place of the destroyed blade. That wasn't supposed to be possible. The bald man knew that his anti-healing abilities needed a weapon and the dark flames working together and that the katana was no longer one… at least according to his logic.
"Try to steal this! Fucking asshole!" Jake shouted and then charged at the enemy.
The enemy knew that his sword would be in a bind if he tried to block the dark flames too often. So, he summoned several ice arrows to stop Jake's charge. However, a single swing of the flame blade destroyed all the arrows around. Cheap tricks like that won't work anymore.
When Jake was close enough, he attacked the enemy, but the bald guy jumped backward and escaped. Then he made some ice spikes emerge on the ground when Jake approached again.
"What a joke… Is this the best you can do?" Jake asked.
Jake destroyed those with the flames, but his weapon grew smaller and smaller whenever he used it. At some point, Jake realized that and looked at it.
"This somehow hurts my pride…" Jake muttered.
The enemy didn't know if Jake was baiting him or not. He was the type who would do anything to win, after all. Moreover, the dark flames were something his friends and he had only learned recently, and they decided to kill Jake before that power could grow more.
All of a sudden, the bald man felt some vibrations on the ground, and he realized that he had wasted too much time… he thought that his preparations had been top-notch and that Jake wouldn't last long. Still, once again, he surpassed his expectations. Without any other choice, the bald man decided to go all out before someone interfered.
Jake noticed that the air around the enemy changed, so he focused all his senses. The flames of his sword grew larger while it was also moving faster than before. The enemy ignored that and charged with all his might. Jake went for the kill this time since that enemy pissed him off so much. With all his might, he swung his sword diagonally, and the enemy did the same.
The weapons collided in the middle of the ice dome while Jake had planned to break the enemy's blade. He ultimately failed… since his weapon was more spectral and the enemies were more durable, the collision didn't last more than a single instant. Still, Jake's flame sword scratched the bald man's face and opened a big wound in his left arm. However, the enemy sword opened a big cut wound in his torso from his right shoulder to his left side… a lot of blood began to gush from the wound, and Jake's eyes moved uncontrollably despite the pain.
"Now we will finally settle the score…" The bald man said his sword, but then the blade began to shatter like glass. "What…"
The bald man wondered how that was possible… the durability of his weapon didn't decrease during the battle. Still, with a single strike… it fell apart like cotton candy… He knew that they didn't know everything about the dark flames, but it felt like they underestimated it more than a little bit.
The enemy decided to use Jake's sword against him, and seeing his weapon in the hands of that asshole only made Jake angrier, and more blood gushed from the wound. Unfortunately, neither of them had time to do anything because the ice dome began to shatter after a massive impact.
"Tsk… I will get you the next time," The bald man said before he used the system to escape.
Jake bit his lips in annoyance since the bastard had escaped with his weapon. At least they got him back by breaking the enemy's sword as well, so there was that…
