While the Ember Crows were leisurely wasting their time, out of nowhere, a human shaped rock flew toward their lines and then it crushed one of them to death. The crows suddenly began to make noises while looking around and searching for the enemies, but they found nothing. Despite that, a good number of them left their line of defense to look for the one who attacked their ally. Because of the numerous rocks around, they had to fly in circles in many spots, but they found nothing. They got confused since that was something that they had experienced before... not like they had many chances of learn and experience many things.

However, when some of them began to fly flow, they suddenly got hit by something on their necks and then they began to fall, the attack hit their arteries and made them bleed to death, unable to do anything. Some other crows notice that and went to check, but they didn't find anything in the area. However, when they landed nearby to check the corpses, they saw Jake leaving a hole in a massive boulder and dashing toward them with his rapier in hand. They had a hard time gaining speed so close to the ground, so Jake caught up with them and impaled their heads with his rapier.

"Not bad, if I do say so myself…" Jake said once he finished the last crow.

Jake carved out a human-sized rock and threw it at the enemies and he also used the hole he created to hide and wait for the monsters to come. That wasn't his usual style, but it was quite fun to act like a ninja. Besides, Jake figured out that the weather is a lot cooler in the hole than outside. Perhaps he can make a temporary shelter in one of the many rocks around.

Nevertheless, Jake recovered his shurikens and then cleaned them before he threw the bodies around and toward the other groups of crows. Since they were essentially birds, despite their size, they weren't that heavy.

Jake's plan of making the crows mad by using their dead friends as projectiles worked pretty well, all of a sudden, hundreds of crows were flying around and waiting for him. Those who saw the blood marks left by the corpses approached to check and were targeted by Jake's shurikens, but he could only do so for so long without being found. Some crows saw him recovering his shurikens and began to bombard him with Fireballs. Jake began to run away to another group of rocks and then hid behind one of them.

The group of crows split up to ambush Jake, but then the group of the left side suddenly saw Jake dashing toward them with his sword in hand. They tried to fire their Fireballs while they moved away but Jake didn't let them. He approached with speed and ferocity and then impaled the heads of three of them.

The crows on the other side finally caught up with him and used their Fire Arrows. Instead of dodging, Jake repelled them with the tip of his rapier and then approached them as well.

In the end, approaching Jake was a stupid mistake. They died as well unable even to scratch Jake. While recovering his shurikens, Jake looked around and saw that some other monsters still were looking for him, so he quickly cleared them before luring those fools by throwing the bodies at them.

"They truly have a bird brain, so this is going quite well…" Jake thought.

When the enemies took too long to find Jake, he decided to carve other roles on the boulders around to hide. The crows would only be able to find him if they get closer, so he couldn't have asked for a better trap. Regardless, after doing that for a while, Jake finally got a lance, but it was more of a lance used by cavalry than one used as a throwing weapon. It was that large.

Rider's Lance (0%)

Strength + 10, Endurance + 10, Cavalry, master this item to obtain its effects permanently.

Durability: 30/30

Cavalry: it passively increases your attack while using mounts by three points per level.

"Not bad… but will this fit me in any way?" Jake thought.

Jake couldn't see himself fighting well or riding anything, he also couldn't imagine himself taming a monster. Taming skills were also abilities that he wasn't interested in. Nevertheless, he wasn't going to abandon those sweet, sweet status points. The lance was five meters long and while he couldn't use it against the crows, he could use it against their boss.

In any case, during the next three days, Jake focused on decreasing the number of the crows in the area, but eventually, he decided to stop. Not because it wasn't working, in fact, it was working well. While counting on his breaks, Jake knew that he could exterminate the population of crows in two days, leaving him with another day to clear the dungeon. However, he wanted to get some experience fighting a large group of enemies at the same time, so he wanted to make things more personal.

Also, Jake was thinking that if he takes too long, a big guild might come to the clean-up. Leaving a dungeon like that accumulates monsters until a few days before the break alone would be very profitable for them. Letting it break was also something some of them would do. Since a lot, more monsters would come but Jake didn't want anyone bothering him.

"I also have accumulated a good number of potions of the last few days, so I should use them," Jake thought while he was finishing the last few preparations to the last steps of the mission.

Once Jake finished that, he looked at the enemy's base and then saw close to two thousand monsters waiting for him and he couldn't help but smirk.
