Jake nodded to himself in satisfaction since he had made a lot of progress in the last few days. As expected, hard battles are the most fun since they also increase his strength at the same level as the difficulty.
"I get Sleep Resistance or something like that, I bet that I can go without the need to sleep for a week," Jake said.
"You are heading to an early grave at that pace," Lana said as she was watching the sky clearing on the horizon. "While we need the power to find Luke, I think you are a bit going too far with that."

While that wasn't the best way to use the spell, the monsters still suffered the same amount of damage that the wall could endure. Thanks to that, the wounded Salamanders just needed another attack to put them out of their misery. As for the other monsters, Jake and Karina dashed toward them before they could open their mouths and split their heads near-instantly with their skills. The remaining six salamanders tried to burn them alive, but those two blocked the flames with the corpses and then approached the monsters. However, who attacked next was Louise with Cold Winds. In a matter of seconds, the monsters became unable to use fire since their bodies got covered in ice. It was all thanks to the extra mana Louise stole from them. Thanks to all that, they finished the fight in less than thirty seconds.

"Get on my level, little college student girl…" Jake crossed his arms and then said that with a smug smile on his face.
While that annoyed Lana, she felt more troubled since Jake could be that smart when he didn't even attend high school… Lana knew that there exist many types of wisdom, but why does someone so annoying have to be that smart when it comes to fighting?
Nevertheless, the dungeon could only be so big since it was made of rocks and in a pretty unnatural way, so they found the last room of the dungeon after just a couple of minutes. In that place, they finally found why the dungeon was emitting smoke… in the last room of the dungeon. They found the last salamander, but not only that. They also found some pits of lava, and they were constantly causing small explosions and making the lava spread around… that will be hard if someone gets touched by those…
