Stepping out of the Golden portal, Dilan found himself back in his office within the Sanctum of the Old Vampire Lord.

However, the place that had once been clean and used for gathering with the other higher authorities of the Undying group looked now abandoned and empty.

An unimaginable amount of cobwebs were spread through the entire office, preventing Dilan from moving without getting entangled in the sticky mess.

"Fuck off," He cursed, summoning a wave of flames around him before he spread it out.

Dilan burned everything to a cinder before he took a deep breath. He was just about to summon the Hyel Destructo Armor when he noticed something.

"Did I stand with spread out arms in front of the Oracle…like that?" He suddenly wondered as he stood in his abandoned office, stark naked.

The storage ring worked again now that he had returned to Milarn, so Dilan accessed it to retrieve a bunch of clothes.

'I'm much weaker than before…only my Mana and Health seem to be at a decent level…but that should be more than enough…'

Dilan's thoughts were going in all directions as he put on a bunch of clothes. After he was done, the Armor Set emerged from his soul and so did Oriclam.

The shapeshifting soul weapon turned into a ring and it enhanced Dilan's strength equally.

'Oricalm is much better than the Blessed Blade, the Cursed Dagger, let alone the Meteorite Blade…but that was to be expected from a weapon that grows with its wielder.'

Willing Oricalm to change its shape, Dilan tested out how fast it could change its shape. He had to be ready to fight in an instant, which was why he had to make the necessary preparations.

Dilan activated the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique to figure out how much Essence the heaven and earth around him provided. It was much less than inside the City of Trials but that was something he expected.

The amount was still more than enough to strengthen him by a great deal while he walked around collecting information.

'Did they leave because they wanted, or because they had no chance to stay? They should have left a note if their departure was not too hurried,'

Dilan knew the plans he and the others had come up with for the possibility of his late return. He also trusted the Oracle enough not to lie to him when it came to his family.

If she was able to sense and see even the slightest bit about a Fate Changers' life or personality, the Oracle would never dare to lie to him about his family.

That was why he wasn't too worried right now. The Oracle might not be omnipotent, let alone able to see everything, especially when it came to stronger beings or Fate Changers, but her powers were not just for show either!

Walking out of the office, Dilan noticed that everything was overflowing with cobwebs, just like it had been inside the abandoned office.

"Seems like a Spider Gate broke out quite a while ago, but no blood, let alone spiders in sight," Dilan spoke to himself as if he was trying to get a point across.

He looked around while burning down the cobwebs with ease. They were extremely sticky but that made it even easier for Dilan to burn them down.

Walking through the Sanctum, Dilan recalled many memories he thought to have forgotten a long time ago.

Only 27 years might have passed in Milarn but Dilan had gotten older…a lot older. He didn't think that he had changed a lot though.

In his opinion, he was still immature in certain regards. However, that made things interesting. After all, every man was a little bit of a child, forever!

Thinking about the time before the City of Trials while continuing to exert the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique and making his way through the Sanctum, Dilan felt quite relaxed.

It was not difficult for him to multitask anymore, especially after the Fallen Celestial's teachings. Both the Great Wise and the Fallen Celestial had given him a hard time. Despite that, he was more than happy to have gone through hell because it allowed him to grow much stronger than he expected to become.

"You cannot hide from me, spidey," He said all of a sudden, turning around while Oricalm changed its shape all of a sudden.

The Soul Weapon changed into a Desert Eagle that released a loud and explosive noise as it shot an air bullet straight into the pitch-black corner of the hall.

A pained screech rang in Dilan's ear but he ignored it altogether. His full attention was on Oricalm.

"To think that you could create a modern…well more like 'modern Milarn human weapon' with so much power. Very good!" Dilan praised his weapon, fully aware that Oricalm was an existence with sentience.

Its sentience awoke the moment it was bound to Dilan's soul and it would only grow more intelligent the stronger Dilan would become.

Dilan didn't need to fill the Desert Eagle with proper ammunition. Rather, he had to use his Ring of Infinite Elements, give his mana some attributes and insert it into Oricalm, or use his Green Magic to fill the desert eagle's muzzle with an air bullet, just like he did before.

He knew that he could have just pointed his index finger at the spider before releasing an air bullet but that wouldn't have been entertaining.

Furthermore, he had to test Oricalm's limits as well!

As for his own limits, Dilan had a rough estimation about what he was capable of doing right now and what he shouldn't do if he wanted to prevent destroying everything around him.

Burning the cobwebs around him and the corpse of the spider that had the size of a 14-year-old kid, Dilan picked up the Essence Crystal.

"Start of the third Tier…nothing much, as expected," Dilan absorbed the Essence crystal but he didn't pay much heed to it.

There was no system notification that bothered him about the insignificant amount of Essence and status points he had received.

That was quite pleasant, but that was already everything.

Spending the next ten minutes walking through the sanctum, he killed a few more spiders, until the commotion he had caused with the desert eagle was finally enough to drag someone stronger out of her hiding.

It was the Spider Queen, something one could label as the boss of the nest.

However, Dilan was totally unimpressed at the sight of the gigantic spider and he pointed the muzzle of the Desert Eagle straight at her, giving her a nice ultimatum.

"Answer my question or die,"

Dilan could easily tell the Tier of the Spider Queen, but even that was not really something he was bothered about.

Was there something special about being a Tier-5 monster? Dilan couldn't know, he was human, after all.

He kept staring at the six-meter-tall spider without batting an eye as it screeched at him. His ears rang and blood poured out of them just a moment later.

"Is that your final answer?" Dilan asked before he cleared his throat, "Spider Queen, or whatever you call yourself…were there still humans in the Sanctum before you arrived?"

Dilan looked coldly at the spider queen, but the monster didn't seem to feel anything hearing Dilan's words.

She pierced out with one of her legs that was clad with a razor-sharp tip…and pierced through Dilan's chest.

"...I asked you something…"
