Dilan spent less than a minute finishing off a dozen Golems.

Even then, most time was spent on figuring out more about the Golem Core, where it was actually located, and how powerful it was.

The Golem Core determined the strength of the Golems it created. While this was a matter of fact, it was also a fact that the materials used to create the Golem had their limits.

The raw materials used for the Golem creation had different special traits, such as super regeneration, super endurance, mana immunity, and many more. This was very interesting, and it was definitely worth being researched.

Dilan felt like a small child that played around with toys as he examined the Golem core, and he couldn't help but smile foolishly.

He stored the Golem Cores in his storage ring, hoping that they were not too damaged and that they could be repaired, or even better, replicated!

However, before that would be possible, Dilan had to pay attention to the current predicament.

"Aren't you guys going to welcome me inside your base? It's getting cold out here!" Dilan joked when he saw a bunch of powerful Ascenders, who had left the safe havens of the military base.

Every single one of the Ascenders was wearing a full set of armor, several accessories covered their bodies and mighty weapons were held tightly in their hands.

'Come to think of it, Yvonne and the others never really focused on procuring more treasures. They are not really after a load of equipment the Gates exchanges with Essence crystals…do I have to teach them a lesson for being too picky?' Dilan wondered at this moment. If the girls were to die just because they didn't like the color of a certain precious piece of armor, it would definitely be considered one of the stupidest ways to die.

'Well, that can wait until later, I guess,' He added, shaking his head lightly just to hear a loud voice ringing in his ears.

"Why would we invite an invader into our safe halls?! You are the perpetrator, who entered our territory without asking for permission, let alone the revelation of your identity!!" A young man in his mid-20s shouted out threateningly while pointing his longsword toward Dilan.

The young man ignored Dilan's remark about the temperature because it was obviously just a provocation. It was currently 30 degrees celsius outside and far from cold!

"So can I ask for permission to enter your place now? That should be fine, or don't you think so, Mister Mekaz?" Dilan asked with a seemingly innocent smile on his face.

He could tell who the young man was because he had spotted the particular emblem of the Mekaz family that was attached to the left side of the young man's shirt.

Marie had told him how the emblem of the Mekaz family looked, which helped him ascertain the young man's identity.

"Filthy Infiltrators are not supposed to take the name of our glorious family from their mouths!" The young man of the Mekaz family snarled as golden currents embroidered his broadsword.

He roared out and it looked like he was ready to charge at Dilan at any second. But, Dilan was having none of it and he began to frown, looking deeply at the young man.

'How old is he?... Probably around 25 years…maybe?' He thought, feeling a premonition slowly crawling up his spine.

There was a sour taste in his mouth and frustration gleamed in his eyes.

"Your name is not Clark, and you are not married to Lara Cier…right?" Dilan asked, praying for the first time in his life. If this fool of a loud human being was actually his sister's husband, Dilan wouldn't know what to do.

"How do you know my wife?!?" The young man, who was obviously Clark Mekaz, roared out loud. His entire body was now engulfed in golden currents and his strength was amplified by more than 50%.

However, Dilan didn't really care about the stat amplification Clark received. He looked at the young man's appearance, his face, physique, the way he was standing, and the fact that he was bravely charging at him, the intruder, without a trace of fear in his eyes.

'I am not sure whether that's bravery or just stupidity…but at least he looks good. Lara likes handsome people, so that's good…but this personality…' Dilan sighed and he detached the two Elemental Spirits from his daggers before he fused them with his Gauntlets of Destructo and Power.

He sheathed the Blessed Blade and the Cursed Dagger carefully to make sure that not even the most curious children would be injured.

Afterward, Dilan bashed his gauntlets against each other, creating a thunderous noise as electrical currents burst out from one of the gauntlets.

Water gushed out of the other gauntlet, shrouding it tightly.

'As long as I don't hurt his face, Lara will be fine….right?' He asked himself, not sure how petty Lara had become in recent years.

But even if Lara had become very petty, and protective of her husband, Dilan didn't really like him.

That being said, Dilan had to show Clark what would happen if he were to make his sister unhappy. Wasn't that obvious?

"You're overestimating your strength!" Clark Mekaz clenched his fists as he roared out loudly, "But if you want to die that badly, let me be your reaper!"

Dilan rolled his eyes at that and he re-activated both [Walk of Thunder] and [Second Acceleration] once again. He rushed forward and passed by Clark Mekaz, whose eyes widened in shock when he realized just how fast Dilan was.

It was not even possible for Clark to follow Dilan's path. He had just disappeared in front of the young man's eyes, almost as if he had never been there, to begin with.

Dilan brushed past Clark to get rid of the other Ascenders. Each of the Ascenders was at the third Tier, wielding a bunch of Tier-3 treasures. Their total stats were at an average of 400, which was a lot, but mostly owed to the pieces of equipment they were wearing.

It was great to possess many high-quality treasures, especially since they allowed the Ascenders to fight very powerful opponents. Unfortunately, it was better to be in possession of high stats as well, otherwise, one would never be able to properly control the stats derived from abilities, titles, and pieces of equipment.

Dilan had faced similar situations very often himself, and he had slowly gotten accustomed to possessing high stats. In the beginning, the most difficult for him had been controlling his speed, paying attention to where he was stepping, and so on.

He had been in possession of the pre-evolution of [Walk of Thunder] for a very long time and he had always used stat amplifying abilities because that was his combat style.

As for others, Dilan had rarely encountered Ascenders that were like him. Thus, the control of his body with amplified stats was roughly ten times better than the control other, ordinary Ascenders could exhibit.

Dilan's speed was shocking and he didn't hesitate to make full use of it.

He delivered a sucker punch to the closest Ascender, whose eyes widened as he was blasted backward.

The Ascender spit out saliva and blood as he smashed into the military base's wall, just for a huge blast of water to impact on him, taking the poor Ascender out.

"Sleep tight, little Sheep!"
