Chapter 183: Greed Island

At Battera's tryouts for the Greed Island slot, an announcer told the applicants that they need to know Nen to play the game and introduces Tsezguerra as the judge, who's a pro hunter.

"Let us begin the test" Tsezguerra started speaking. "Please come up one at a time and show me your Ren behind shutters and a curtain. No one will see what's happening inside.

The moment we have chosen 32 players, the test will end."

When the curtain closed, many of the applicants rushed to form a line.

Blaize didn't rush and just simply relaxed in his seat while Killua analyzed the situation in extreme detail and Gon sat in silence.

As Killua worries about whether they should join the line, one of the applicants, Puhat, started talking about the process and a minute later, he went to the stage to try.

"I am heading over!" Killua said and went up the stage.

"Blaize, do you think Killua will pass?" Gon asked.

"Without a doubt. Don't worry. You can pass easily as well. The technique you created is pretty strong." Blaize spoke and sent Gon to the stage after Killua.

Next, Blaize went to the stage and met Tsezguerra behind the curtain.

"Show me your Ren,"

"Are you sure you want to see my Ren?" Blaize asked in a playful tone. He knew the phrase, 'show me your Ren', is a code among Hunters to display the results of one's training and what they're capable of.

"Yes," Tsezguerra nodded his head, a little skeptical.

"As you wish," The next moment, a frightening momentum erupted from Blaize and disappeared the next.

Still, it scared Tsezguerra so much that he backed into the wall. When he met the force of Blaize's Nen, he never felt death so close.

"Y-you..." Tsezguerra tried his best but no words came out.

Walking next to him, Blaize simply patted the latter's shoulder and spoke, "Relax. I just came to experience the Greed Island, so don't mind my presence."

Saying this, Blaize exited the room and came to the next one, where he saw Gon, Killua, Bisky, and other applicants who had passed.

His presence attracted everyone's attention because some of the experienced Nen users felt the powerful Ren he released.

Especially, Bisky. Her sight never left Blaize until he walked past her and sat along with Gon and Killua.

'The aura I felt earlier is from him?' She thought. The Ren she sensed was unlike anything she had ever seen or experienced. 'He's dangerous.'

Along with Gon, Killua, Bisky, and 20 other people, Blaize moved to Battera's mansion to enter the game. After some process and explanation, everyone entered the game.

Entering Greed Island's starting Point, Blaize met the woman, Eta, sitting in a floating mechanism wearing a headgear. She introduced the game and basic rules before sending him out.

--

Looking at a huge, grassy plain before him, Blaize took a long breath and smelled fresh air.

Aside from the nice scenery, the thing he noticed is some kind of binding in this place with his Observation Haki. It looked like the entire island is controlled by Nen.

He didn't know what concept Ging used, but it was powerful as even he can't cancel the binding.

Blaize uttered the keyword "Book!". As soon as he did that, a binder materialized before him and hovered in mid-air.

'Wow, it really is similar to games on the Earth. How fascinating!' Blaize mused and checked the empty card slots.

"Blaize!" Gon called and came over with Killua. "We are going in that direction, are you coming?"

"No. You guys go and explore it yourself. It's fun that way." Blaize rejected Gon's request. "If you need my help, just contact me using the binder."

After saying goodbye to Gon and Killua, Blaize left the starting area. He plans on using his time in Greed Island to train himself.

If he's not wrong, Gon will stay on Greed Island for seven months. So he got plenty of time on his hand to train. After that, he will accompany Gon to Yorbian Continent where the Chimera Ant arc will take place!

If he uses his devil fruit powers and Haki, he's confident in defeating Meruem, but it will be tough with just Nen alone without using God's Blood.

Furthermore, he doesn't know how the situation will turn out once he returns to the One Piece world. He had to be prepared to face the World Government. For that, he needs to be strong.

Blaize certainly doesn't want to make the same mistake of confronting the world government head-on and alone.

[~ Name: Blaize Hunt

Occupation: Marine

Constitution: 76.9

Devil Fruit: 74.3

Haki: 78.5

Free attribute point: 5.0 ~]

There wasn't much change in his attribute panel. His devil fruit attribute rose from 70.2 to 74.3 corresponding to the growth in his constitution and Haki attribute

He has a feeling, if he rises his devil fruit attribute to '75' there will be a big change; there's a possibility he will uncover a new ability of his Sun Sun fruit.

Thinking through, Blaize searched for a remote location where he won't be disturbed.

--

Five months and some days passed,

Blaize trained his Haki, Nen, and devil fruit abilities. Especially his devil fruit power, stagnated at 74.9 while his Haki attribute rose to 79.4. As for his God's Blood, it was around 1200 drops right now.

He has a long way to reach the 3000 mark and convert all his blood into his body.

At that moment, his Binder materialized and flashed a few times displaying a call from Gon.

"Hello Gon"

"Blaize, what are you doing? Are you free?"

"Yes."

"We need your help to get a card." Gon requested.

"What card is that?" Blaize asked, thinking it was time they would have encountered Razor.

"It's a designated slot card -- Plot of Beach," Gon replied.

"Ok. Where should I come?"

"City of Love."
