Chapter 160: Advanced Nen Techniques
"Next, Zetsu!"
Stopping the flow of aura from one's body by closing all of their Aura Nodes. Doing so will halt all outflow of aura, making one's presence much harder or even impossible to sense.
With his eyes closed, Blaize just visualized and his body went into Zetsu mode. He didn't find it difficult at all, it happened as a natural reaction.
Even Blaize finds it surprising. 'Is it because of my Senju constitution? Let's find it out.' He then went on to try the next concept - 'Ren'.
The concept focuses on summoning a larger amount of aura and projecting it outwards in an explosive manner.
At the same time, emotions can also be imbued in the Ren. For example, 'bloodlust'. A prolonged emission of malicious Ren can induce uncontrollable terror in those who cannot use Nen, paralysis, or even death.
Ren is nothing but a show of power and can be used to intimidate other Nen users. In a sense, the use of Ren is pretty much similar to Conqueror's Haki.
Feeling the Nen in his body, Blaize muttered. "Ren!"

After that, he placed his hands around the glass and performed Ren. This time restrained his Nen, still, as soon as he projected his aura the quantity of the water increased in a fraction of a second, and the glass shattered into pieces the next moment.
"Fu**..." Blaize nearly cursed as he didn't expect the glass would explode even after he limited his Nen.
"As expected, I am an Enhancer. Let's try the advanced Nen concepts...First, Gyo."
An advanced application of Nen, in which one concentrates the aura into a specific body part; hands, legs, eyes, etc.
Blaize first focused his aura on his eyes, then he tried it on his hands and legs. He was able to focus them in an instant without any problem as it is similar to Haki.
What's more, he was able to increase or lower the amount of aura he focuses on with a thought as he would do with his Haki.
It's another advanced application 'Ko', concentrating aura into one particular body part.
Next is 'Ken', a pure defensive technique to guard against attacks from any direction; an advanced version of the basic Ten and Ren techniques. The amount of aura surrounding the user's body during Ken is about 10 times higher than during Ten.
'Ken' is similar to Armament Haki. Coating the entire body will drain the Haki fast. It's the same with Ken.
Next, 'Ryu.' Ryu is redistributing one's aura according to the situation or need. For example, by focusing 70% of one's aura in one fist and using the remaining to defend.
To others, it may be an advanced concept or difficult to master but to Blaize, it's the same as other concepts he can perform it with a thought.
'Nen concepts are much easier than I anticipated' Blaize thought. If others hear his thoughts, they will probably spank his ass as others had to train for countless months or even years to master these concepts.
The final concept in Nen Advanced concepts is 'En', a combined application of Ten and Ren. Extending the Ren further than normal, then using the Ten at the same time to contain and give shape to the aura.
Usually, the shape of 'En' is a sphere. Using En, one can feel the shape and movement of anything within the area covered by the aura.
Those who master En are typically able to extend it to a circle with a 50-meter radius. There are exceptions, Zeno Zoldyck, can extend his En up to a radius of 300 meters.
Another example is Neferpitou, who has an irregularly shaped En and can extend up to 2 kilometers like a wisp. But this technique is extremely tiring and drains one's Nen faster.
As for Blaize, his 'En' extended up to '400' meters. Even, he was surprised by the outcome because it's not his complete strength as his physique hasn't fully recovered.
"It seems I am going to enjoy my time here." Blaize smiled a little. Even though everything went well, he knew he needs training and constant practice to improve his Nen.
Just as Blaize finished testing the Nen concept, his Observation Haki sensed Gon's aura approaching his direction.
After a minute, Gon's figure came into the view. His pure and innocent eyes glistened while he looked lively and energetic.
"Blaize, shall we start?" Gon asked arriving before him. Blaize chuckled, glancing at his eager eyes.
After Kite's departure and learning the truth about his father, Ging, Gon is determined to become a Hunter. That's when Blaize suggested he should learn some martial techniques.
So for the last few days, he has been teaching Gon the Rokushiki martial techniques: 'Soru' and 'Kami-e'.
As Gon is naturally agile and possesses springy muscles, these two techniques are most suitable for him. Above everything else, the potential he is gifted with is extremely amazing.
As he was able to learn Soru and Kami-e basics in short ten days.
"Let's start." Blaize gestured for Gon to start.
Taking a deep breath, Gon muttered. 'Soru!' His form disappeared for a second but as he wasn't proficient in it, his body was exposed the next second.
He used 'Soru' for a minute before stopping since he's just eight years old his stamina is limited.
Blaize commented. "Good. You grasped the basics but need further practice."
As for Kami-e, it varies from person to person based on one's flexibility and movements. So Blaize just taught him the idea and let Gon practice on his own.
"Okay, Gon, I will be leaving the whale Island tomorrow as I have other things to do," Blaize said.
"You are leaving? When will you come back?" Gon looked disappointed.
"Don't worry, I will come back in a few months." Blaize comforted. He had to leave the Whale Island to explore the other region of the Hunter world and at the same time, he needs worthy opponents to sharpen his Nen skills.
