Chapter 377: "It had started kicking in." (1)

“I don’t know if it was with Ji Fansheng, but the girl did call her Mom. I looked at the girl carefully and she did look like Ji Fansheng some but that could also just be in my mind. You will have to ask her that yourself. If it was real then that Ji Fansheng is an awful person. If he didn’t like her, he could have turned her down firmly. If they were cohabiting, he should be nice to her. How could he just run off when she was pregnant? Lucky you didn’t choose to be with him. He’s a scum. Oh right, she also told you to be careful of Ji Fansheng. She didn’t give any details but she sounded very sincere.”

Be careful of Ji Fansheng? Hu Ruixue raised her brows some. Ji Fansheng was pursuing her but there was not much that he could do if she wouldn’t let him.

Shu Yan, on the other hand, felt that Sun Xi was very serious when she said that. She couldn't help but reminded Hu Ruixue. “Just keep an eye out on him. Some men could be quite crazy when they lose it. You can’t be too safe. We don’t want to regret later on if he really goes crazy.”

They have seen those kinds of news from time to time – a man killing a woman because she had turned him down or that the woman tried to break up with the man and he murdered her in rage and cut up her body. All very scary.

Hu Ruixue became mindful of it after Shu Yan’s repeated urging. Ji Fansheng might look gentlemanly but he was, after all, a man. A man was stronger than a woman in physical strength. He just might do something if she wasn’t careful.

Their company was going up and up and their clothes did well from all the counters. Their brand was becoming known and many of their underwear franchise came knocking on their door wanting to franchise their women’s clothing as well.

Shu Yan and Hu Ruixue turned them down. They wanted a high-end brand, not a low-end one. Too many franchises all of the place would lower their value.

“Do you think we should create a low-end brand too?” Hu Ruixue was tempted by all the requests.

“If your goal is a high-end brand then, no, we should not create a low-end brand. If we do well, the high-end brand is where the money is.” Besides, they didn’t need more money. There was no reason to lose the big profit over a small one. “The placement is important. We can’t just change it willy nilly.”

Nevermind about those franchise companies, even Lin Hui approached Shu Yan a second time. The brand was too popular. To a point that almost everyone had heard of them. Most everyone felt that the brand was very high-end and comparable to large foreign brands.

“I really am not trying to blow you off. We have no plans to franchise this brand. Our plan is to go with counters. Have you found a location yet? I can go take a look at the area for you. If you want to start your shop, I can help give you some advices as well. As for your inventory, I can recommend a few factories to you. I have worked with all of them myself.”

“Yes, I’ve found a storefront. It was next to the mall. I am a little torn about the location.” Lin Hui frowned. “I have been going over there and observing after work for a while now. Most of those walking around were students. Can they afford my clothes if I priced them too high?”

She finally came to realize how difficult it was to run one’s own business after she had started. She had thought that 50,000 yuan would be sufficient to start but after rent and remodeling, she had already spent 30,000 of them and she hasn’t even gotten her inventory yet. From what Shu Yan had told her, she would need to spend at least 20,000 – 30,000 yuan on inventory. All in all, she felt that everything cost money lately, even just a nail.
