Alright, let’s bath all my familiars first. I’ll take a long leisurely one by myself later.

[8] As usual, the two littlest members of the party enjoyed themselves most as they floated in the large bathtub [5].
As for me? I’ve rolled up my sleeves and pant leg in preparation to give Fer a good wash. [1] After getting the pet shampoo (recommended by vets all over Japan) frommy [Item Box] I began to scrub Fer’s fur after the initial wetting.
Fer sat quietly as he was slowly and surely being covered by bubbles.
“Hey, scrub a little harder at the neck,”

Scrub, scrub, scrub.
I put a little more strength in my scrubbing.

I’m glad you enjoyed that, I thought as I continued to scrub Fer all over. Determined to do battle against dirt and loose fur.
“Phew, should be good enough. Sui, could you please?”
“”Okaay~~”” [3] Sui extended a tentacle and a warm shower of water [6] sucked out from the bath sprayed over Fer.
Naturally, I gave his face a good wash too, that big baby.
“Alright, alright!” [7] Fer snapped. “I’m done!”
“Hey, don’t you want to come into the tub?” [5]
“Definitely not!”
“”You’re missing the best thing about baths,” said Dora-chan as he floated on his back.
““True, true~~”” Sui bobbed in the water. “Uncle Fer is missing the best part~~””
“Humph! I’m leaving!”
“W-wait, hold on you-” [3] seeing Fer’s body tensed up, I tried to dive away but it was too late.
Like a typical canine, Fer shook his entire body, sending water droplets and loose fur everywhere.
“Wargh!! Peh! Peh! Peh! I got hair I my mouth!” [7] Dora-chan rolled in the water trying to scrub his tongue.
“Yay~! Water, water everywhere~~! How fun! Uncle Fer, do it again ~~”
“I, am leaving. Now.” [5]
Well, it’s not like I can stop him, “Make sure to dry yourself well before lying down anywhere in the house, alright?”
“Humph! I know that much.”
After Fer left, Dora-chan and Sui did not stay long. I wrapped my two littlest familiars in warm fluffy towels and made sure to dry them well before letting them roll out in the spacious living room where Fer was resting in the middle of the floor.
“You’re finally here, I’m getting thirsty. I want the usual,”
““Ooh, me too! Having sweet milk after a bath is the best!””
“”Sui wants a drink too~””
[4] “Yes, yes, [1] the usual, yes?”
I quickly got everyone’s after bath fruit milk from [Net Super]. It’s canned coffee for me though. [5]
[5] Everyone drank their fruity drink thirstily and settled back with an ‘aahhhh’.
It’s about lunch time now.
We still have half the travel food I made back in Avering so today’s menu was assorted fish dishes. Fried fish, fish grilled in butter and soy sauce as well as foil-grilled fish.
It’s been meat, meat, meat all the way and having fish now and then is really great.
After lunch, I settled down to relax a little. Fer, Sui and Dora-chan headed towards their chosen little nook and took a nap.
I laid down on the luxurious living room sofa and closed my eyes.
When I next blinked my eyes opened, it was supper time.
Not wanting to spare too much effort, I took out the pre-wrapped Gyoza and made Pan-Fried Gyoza, Gyoza in Soup as well as Deep-Fried Gyoza.
The Gyoza were made with plenty of meat and chopped vegetables. When combined with beer, it was the best.
Once dinner was cleared away, I went to the bathroom to enjoy a familiar free bath.
[6] After the obligatory wash and rinse, I settled into the nice hot water in a tub so large that I can fully stretch myself out without touching the sides of the huge tub.
This is the life.
“Fuuhh… it’s nice to have days like these once in a while,”
