Chapter 508 508: Reunion I
You're looking at me like I'm not beautiful anymore." Tehilla said as she walked up to him, she has always been tall, and it seems the Raen race was a lot. Similar to other animal like race. Cole noticed the women were bigger and taller, Tehilla was looking right back at him eyeball to eyeball and not a bit up at him like he remembered.
"You can never be anything less than perfect to me, I should be the one worried, I'm a cripple now, only got one arm. And as I've been told, I've been gone four months when it's not even been up to half a day for me….you might not love me anymore."
When it comes to emotions, Raens were never one for a lot of talking it was best to just show it, and Tehila was almost glowing with the way the emotion of love bled off her. Cole chuckled, he knew of many men who would truly like to be able to know what their women are thinking or really feeling about them. Being a Raen, was almost what you would call a life saving experience.
"I waited three years for you to decide that I am good enough for you. You expect all of that to change in just four months? Sure we all considered you missing, but in this new reality we don't announce an aspirant dead or missing until after a year, crazy new law.
I was worried, and I wouldn't lie, each night has been hell without you. I had faith, I could feel you always baby. In my heart, our baby too, she felt you so far, in pain, hurt, but alive. You're here now though, and I swear I'm not letting you go anywhere again." Tehila said to Cole with tears in her eyes as she stepped forwards into his embrace, finally crying tears that have been building up in four months.
Cole held her, he could feel extreme strength from her body. Corded muscles that were compacted into an elegant yet muscular form. Her horns poking out of her forehead were a pure with flecks and spots of black starlight, beyond that was the resonance Cole was feeling as he held her.
Tehilla has the divination stat, and on a much higher level than Cole. But more than that, it was different for Tehila. She probably had a different skill slotted to it, hence what she could do with the Divination stat and it's techniques if very different from what Cole can do. And while he had no idea what her own techniques was, he could still feel it's incredible potency.
"Let's get out of the desert, I'll catch you up to speed about everything that's changed while you were gone. We should also go do something about that arm of yours." Tehila said as Lyren trotted to a stop besides the two of them.
"Hi I'm Lyren!" the chaos pup was wagging his tail with such force and joy it was somewhat infectious as every other members of the company around let out smiles.
"Hello Lyren, I've been looking forward to meeting you my love. Would you like a treat?" Tehila asked the chaos pup as he nodded his head and wagged his tail, acting like a real dog…. Something the damn dog has never done for Cole. Like Neral this pup was traitorous when it comes to women
Tehilla threw a glowing silver ball to Lyren. The dog jumped and snatched it out of the air, his body glowing for a moment before he trotted towards the jet, the rest of the Company making moves to move their leader to safety as Cole asked Tehila.
"Who's soul was that?"
"Oh while you were gone a lot of things changed. Most of which has been what you set in place before going missing but still it's all the same. The Sovereign Nation Of Raen, patent and name still pending has been recognized as not just a full government and invited to the world council of earth, we're also considered an invasive force, making anything we need to do on earth or within the confines of the universe extremely restricted.
After the Council Purge. Many business men and women all felt that this was a chance to get their feet into the political situation and keep order. A lot more money, labor and infrastructure has come to earth and other places, hut this is because some of the people now on the World Council, are Denizens who have been living here in hiding for a very long time.
Earth had many deals with many forces outside of its reality. I've tried to keep all the deals in check, but with you absent, it did not even take up to a month for them to start carving up the earth and leaving it on a platter of Gold for their new allies. I've kept it as controlled as I possibly can by being on the council."
Cole held Tehila's hand as they walked up into the jet with everyone else and it lifted off the ground, throwing a billowing cloud of sand that shrouded their forms before it rose higher and higher into the sky before zooming off, Cole however was still listening to his wife.
"They have not been able to go up against us, not face to face at least. We've had a few sanctions and embargos. My businesses are being boycotted and the World Council buys Deuterium from me with a 35% cut than the market price. An annoying situation, but Deuterium is so expensive and even valuable to the other universe that even with the cut, I'm still making a lot of money, not to mention with the ability to travel to any of our recognized territory from Raen Valley.
I've been able to run everything as best as I can and handle my business without the world council having their eyes on me. But that's just on earth. Outside of it Raen Valley has gotten into some major deals with powerful corporations from all over the universe well the other universe.
Which brings us back to your original question. The 7th floor has an interstellar civilization, a very magical one seeing as they have dungeons, but an interstellar civilization none the less.
A small time business man....well small for the other universe but for earth his assets would have singlehandedly bought out every major corporation on earth with some change to spare. He chose to become a Raen, move his operations to Raen Valley along with his family, and while the rest of the family is cool, his kids especially.
