Chapter 480 480: Assassination The Sequel

It was one thing to be stuck in a giant washing machine, but it was another thing to be stuck in it when there's no gravity and it was filled to the brim with water and clothes. It did not matter how powerful Cole felt he was right now, even if he doesn't die, he'd be suffocated.

He shifted Azazel back to it's sniper form and laid down on the ground, aiming for the hole that the monster had made on the door. He drew in a deep breath and set his sights, watching for the person he knew was waiting beyond.

The water level was rising quickly and by this point it was already up to Cole's chin. He used Gravity to help himself pinned to a particular spot to stead himself, but the washer going round and round was already beginning to make him nauseous. But he had to wait, if he rashly tries to rush out there with Azrael waiting for him then things would definitely end up going sideways for him.

Cole knew the bastard would check to see if he was putting up a fight, Cole wanted to put a bullet in between his eyes, and put and end to this once and for all. Or if he could not end the punk, he could at least push him back long enough for him not to get attacked while he's getting out of here.

And so he waited until the chaos of the machine swallowed him up. Suds and bubbles burnt his eyes as he held his breath, he kept his focus razor sharp, bearing with it as the moments passed, a whole hour passed. By that point Cole was already about to pass out, Raens were not amphibious, the only thing helping him survive this long was his biology was very advanced, and that he was wearing armor/Lyren. And normally being in water should not be a problem, but the swirling, the swirling was messing with everything.

And the. Azrael's shadow passed by the barrier that he made over the opening to prevent Cole from coming out. And it was all Cole needed seeing as he has been charging this attack for the past hour, he wanted to make sure the bastard paid in full.....with his life!

[Requiem Of Heaven's Flames]

*BANG!*

The shot flew, boiling the water and clothes around Cole and turning them to ash before even reaching the entrance and tearing through the shadowy membrane that blocked the entrance. A beam of powerful golden flames, burnt through the washer's door, turning it to slag as it went forwards, burning work stations and destroying everything else that was in its path.

The rest of the soapy water rushed out, carrying Cole with them as he turned the sniper rifle sideways while facing upwards, and just in time too as he crossed the threshold, Azrael came down from the sky, a pitch black scythe slashing down onto Cole.

*Clang!*

Sparks danced into the air as the gun blocked the strike, and Cole kicked out, his feet smashing into Azrael's chest, but not before creating a [Gravity Rings] under his foot. Cole made sure it was hitting with as much repulsive force, which was why it came as no surprise to him when Azrael was blasted back with enough force to break the sound barrier, smashing into the top of the washer and deforming the whole thing with his body, as he got embedded in it, the metal cutting and crushing his body.

For a moment Cole dared to hope that this was it, and that this bloody assassin was already done for. But he felt the vision coming on, as he sank into it, experiencing how two shadow portals appeared on both sides of himself and spikes shot of them, impaling him in the middle. Faster than his reaction could possibly match up with, Cole grunted and took three steps backwards.

And true enough the shadow mirrors appeared and sent their spikes at each other, but Cole was long gone by then. He changed Azazel into it's revolver form and held it in his left hand while holding BlackMalakai in his right.

He crossed both weapons in time for six shadows of Azrael to show up and attack him, each and every single one of them coming for him, from different angles, trying to find a blind spot that they could attack. Cole let them or rather him head on.

The first he defended against, using both his gun and sword to defend as he was pushed back two steps. Cole kept moving back, ducking under a knife swing as he smashed his head into the nose of the shadow in front of him, and used [Gravity Rings] expanding the two rings and rotating them around his body extremely fast. It created a barrier around his body that he pulsed with repulsive gravity, pushing all the shadows backwards as Cole took a few steps back, annoyed that someone else was using shadows to kick his ass.

"Why won't you just die?" Azrael's voice cake from all over, bouncing from corner to corner in an eerie echo, that sounded weird.

"If you want to kill me…..kid you're going to have to do so much more than that. But don't be discouraged, if you want some! Then come GET SOME!" Cole yelled at him as he stomped on the ground where the Shadow pool had appeared, but this time instead of running, Cole sank into it, entering a monochrome world that he was intrinsically familiar with.

This was Azrael's skill, so it was tethered to him, and Cole still could mess around with shadows a bit. It was almost too easy to sing Azrael's location, especially with the Divination stat making it so that Cole's senses and perception were on a whole other level coupled with his new devil body.

"found you!"

Cole wrestled control of whatever shadows he could from Azrael, though it was not a lot as this assassin had more understanding and control over shadows than him. However it was just enough for Cole to instinctively wrap the shadows around and under his feet as he crossed the distance, using the linked shadows to appeared and smash his knee straight into Azrael's face.

Azrael's vanished in a puff of black smoke, as Cole swung Black Malakai left, just in time to push his shadow blade to the side, the weapon scrapping off his armor as sparks were released into the air, and Azrael' vanished into the darkness, his presences fading away just as quickly as it had appeared. Cole growled as he cursed out, his breaths heaving from the intensity of their conflict.

"Fucking Coward!"
