It seemed they were all at a stalemate. Sure the president was telling the truth about the World Council, and she was more than willing to cut deals with Cole regardless of what the World Council could and would say, after all what could they do to her, she was still a part of the World Council herself.
And they could not kick the country out, it won't be a World Council then. But still she could pull away and have dealing with Cole, but to pull out from the world Council completely would set the entire nation at odds with the council. At worst the combined might of the council would fall upon the nation, at best, the sanctions and embargos would bring the economy to a screeching halt, doesn't matter the country had three major spaceports.
"please I can't do that, I might be scared of you, but I still have to think about the other people in this country, my people and in case you've forgotten Your people too!
And many of them have taking to the streets in protest of what the World Council had done, my numbers are at my lowest in my entire tenure due to being party to it. If the World Council decides to act it's not you or I that would suffer the burnt of it, it would be them, the innocents."
"No one is innocent! Not even a child, or a new born baby. Millions of other sperms die just so that one can grow. So don't patronize me with that shit, life's not fair boo hoo." Cole's aunt said as she turned her head to the side, Cole shrugged he might not agree fully with what she said, but she was right regardless, no one is innocent.
"We naturally have a way to deal with the world Council. And we're doing that tonight and possibly tomorrow, or maybe next tomorrow, you'll never know. However tonight some people on that council will die, after you've given us their locations of course.
Then tomorrow morning you'll make the announcement of your breakaway and the formal alliance with the Sovereign Nation Of Raen and the establishment 9f an embassy between our two nations. You can send some of your people over to start gaining benefits for the country before this all goes to shit. You will reach out to your allies of course, and you will let us know who they are so that we don't accidentally kill them you know.
You tell them that I'm offering an alliance and a chance to send ambassadors over. Deals can be brokered and knowledge and resources can be shared, along with defense and military aid agreements, especially against the forces of the other world that might be looking to carve out a piece of earth and our universe from them. And let them all know explicitly that there's something big I'm waiting for and it's going to be here any day now. .
Once it's here Mrs. President I guarantee you I will be back to tie up loose ends. And whoever is not my friend, should get the hell out of my way and pray that they're not my enemies…..cause then they too would become the loose ends I've C come to tie up."
From then it did not take too long for them to get the location of the World Council. Cole had thought they were in some atmospheric base somewhere or even completely off world. He did not expect them all to have gone true old school and were holed up in an underground bunker while the rest of the world went to shit.
Never the less to get to said Bunker one had to get to the very top of the tallest mountain in the world. Not an easy feat mind you, over the years and with the advancement of technology and recently all this wacko shit with energy no spilling in their reality. The Himalayas now generated Geo-gravitational fields that made it both hard and freaky to fly over those mountains.
Plus it's been about 80 years since someone last dared made a climb to the top of Everest…..well no one really cared anyways, there were taller mountains to climb out there in the cosmos, and more colorful too.
Either ways due to just how dangerous it is to travel there and the fact that it had fallen out of popularity, the Himalayas was probably devoid of human life. Which might have been the idea all along. Cole chuckled to himself as the boarded the craft that would be taking them to Everest.
It was obvious the World Government had made things conducive enough for them to build a secret base in the tallest mountain on earth. A place that's hard to travel through, a situation that they too could also have orchestrated. It was amazing, this wasn't done over one tenure, but something that every president and the one that would come after him would work on, and the reason why Cole thought that way was because the damn bunker….. was a fucking underground city!
And it wasn't small either, it stretches the entirety of the entire Himalayan mountain range. With each president having territory within that they presided over. A perfect utopian society for the rich and the elite of the elite, the Night family had been about to receive an invitation just before Titan Rising Online's event launched. Then things went to shit, but now here he was going over there to kick ass and don't take names, he didn't care what they were called.
The world council was in dire need of a wake up call. But the greed that had seeped into them was a little too much, it had turned into a shroud that's clouding their perception of the danger they are all really facing.
It would be simple to just go kill them all, they could hardly do anything to him, if they want to use an nuke on earth 95% of the world council would have to sign off on it, and even then it would be low yield. If there was one thing Earth's government learnt quickly, was that they had to stop exploiting the earth's natural resources if they the planet was to remain the home planet and capital of Earth's Terran Federation.
But all that would change soon enough, he could touch them but they could not touch him. He couldn't kill everybody though, that would live earth completely defenseless along with it's colonies and bases off world. No what he wanted to do was to force them all to work together and face the coming darkness. That way he had more bodies to hide himself behind while he got strong enough to deal with whatever was waiting for him in the other universe.
Their journey didn't take too long, hypersonic jets were fast like that. But the interference from the Geo-gravitational force was strong, enough that they started experiencing turbulence before they could even enter the mountain range proper. Cole tried to sleep through the entire thing, but in the end got annoyed enough that he used [Gravity] to nullify the effects of the Geo-gravitational fields.
At first it seemed like it worked, but then the effects got stronger, enough that to Cole these effects no longer felt like a natural phenomenon, but a targeted one. He grunted as he cracked his neck to the side and sat up, he looked up at his entire team and said to them.
"You might want to buckle up from this part of the flight, we're about to experience some turbulence."
