Chapter 430 430: Tests IV
Cole's return to the sixth floor was without any sort of fanfare. The glade was at peace at the moment as the central valley had not made any sort of moves, and while the world Council is busy going about ending the Night family businesses and breaking off all their deals, they were unable to access the Collegium town, much the college itself. Existing simultaneously in two places at the same time was no easy feat, if they could do that, then it was at least possible for them to choose which sort of people they would like to let in.
His talk with his aunt had been no more than him trying to sate her bloodlust. He knew without a doubt t that she really wanted to march up to the world Council and burn them all to the ground. But that was easier said than done, especially since Cole had other plans In the works. His time on the sixth floor had met him know that perhaps it would be best to let them come to him, and Cole was sure that soon enough there would be a different song being sung.
For one the elves were not the only Invading force on earth. The elves thorough defeat at Cole's hands and the resources that had been gained from the dungeon had been enough to slow down the advancement not other antagonistic forces coming through the dungeons. But it did not stop them, and eventually they would all stop being timid for one reason only….. Cole Night, the 26thParagon did not seem to be interested in taking charge and defending his planet. In fa t he was just silent, completely quiet.
There was tension all over the cosmos due to this standing issue between the Night family and the government. No one was willing or ready to make any sort of concessions and since the world Council had made the first move, the entire universe was holding their breaths and waiting for Cole or at least a member of the Night family to make a move, because at least then they would all be able to stop feeling as if someone had pointed a loaded gun at earth.
"Master Cole! Welcome back, there is a representative of the Craftsman guild and the adventurer's guild waiting for you, also the King has sent over 25 units of Unattuned Animechs along with an engineer that would teach us all about them and tell us how to activate them.
Also a neighboring kingdom has led an invasion in the territories of Te Boreas. They're coming north from the mountains. News just reached us, but they have been able to take control of three border cities and a Trade city too. The king has been waiting for you to return, it hasn't exactly been quiet here in Te Boreas since you left.
"18 why does the king need me? If he has people Invading his lands, shouldn't he be sending people to go stop the enemy and take his land back. And if he needs me it's obvious it's his territories that have been invaded and that any damage accrued does not belong to either the adventurer's guild or the Craftsman guild right? " Cole asked as he made his way to the side of his gifted manor.
"Yes sir, but how did you know?" Number 18, Cole could not start stressing to remember the names of every individual in the so they had all been given numbers. 18 happened to be the woman capable of combining her body with an structure, she was a denizen which was good. So was the individual with the ability to summon nightmare flame constructs. These two in particular Cole was specifically grooming, 18 and number 1.
"That seems like the obvious moves that they would make. They can't hurt me, for some reason due to the nature of the trials, and the aspirants ability to move from floor to floor. Powerfully Denizens can not easily make moves against weaker aspirants unless we attack them directly. So they're taking the attack straight to the king, and facing an attack from both sides like this would be sure to put a little bit more pressure on him. Is there anything else about this attack that I am supposed to know? "
"Yeah, the enemies from the north have an elite Animech battalion, and another elite unit of powerful aspirants. It was them who had been most integral in the north swallowing up as much territory as it has. Do you have plan Master Cole?" 18 asked as they turned the corner and Cole saw an opened field where at the moment was currently undergoing training.
"I do have a plan, first I'll play with my shiny new toys, you can have our visitors come over, I'll play and deal with them at the same time. Then once I hear what they have to say, I can decide my next move…..but of course we'll go see the king, and then we'll go on extremely popular and public campaign to send the northern dogs back to their lands." Cole said, as he waved at Eze who was standing in front of the delivered Animechs.
"Of but depending on my mood once we get to the north...I might just as well conquer it while I'm there. I hear it's a frigid wasteland, a Cole and harsh environment with lots of ore and crystals, but home to a northern kingdom with extremely powerful fighters…..maybe conquering is too much, an alliance will be good to. After all they say aim for the stars, then you can at least land on the moon if you fail."
"You intend to take over the north? For the king? Or for yourself? " Cole chuckled as he turned to 18 then he reach out and ran his fingers through her luxurious black hair. He chuckled.
"I know you're just spying for your father Elaine but the questions are getting annoying. Your father will have his kingdom, he's paid the price for it, and you can tell him that it's not the money or the Animechs that's the price I'll squeeze out of him for doing this. Instead you can tell him, that the worst mistake he made was sending his precious daughter to learn at the foot of a wolf in other to spy on him.
He sent a sheep to me Elaine, undefended, unprotected. He has balls, but he's lost you. And I can show it to you. " Cole chuckled and stepped up to her, his eyes blazing red and gold as Chaos wafted off his body. Elaine or as she was now known was now a Raen, one of them first that Cole even changed, the energy of her maker blasting off with such force would force a reaction from her.
"What is your name She-wolf, what is your name Raen. " she trembled, her lips quivering as she looked up at him in horror as realization dawned on her. Guess being Raen wasn't all it was hyped up to be, there was a catch and this was it….. a connection is built to Cole, marking it impossible to hurt, scheme or betray him. Heck the bond forces you to love Cole more then even yourself.
"My name is ….. Aiteen! And I am Raen my Lord. " Cole chuckled and went past the woman with tears in her eyes, making sure to tap her on the head as he went past.
"Good Girl Aiteen…..good girl."
