Chapter 413 413: The Bandit Outpost III

Cole's train of thought was cut short as someone broke through his guard, it was weird for Cole, usually he could see and anticipate any attack coming at him seconds before they even get close enough to him. But this one had already hit him long before he even realized as dagger was buried to the hilt into his calf. It hurt like a bitch as Cole swiftly turned around, bringing his hand down in a hammer fist wrapped in chaos.

It was not just the skull but most of the top half of their body. When Cole took a close enough look he paused, for just a split second, a second that was felt by each and every single person, so much so that even the people caught in the throes of pain caused by the [Nightmare Flame] paused! To stare at Cole in that moment. Cole was faced with something very important in his character development, something so impact full all of reality was paying attention, but much more than that were his soldiers.

Each and every single one of them waiting for a hint of weakness. Cole bent and pulled the dagger out, hissing as its serrated edges cut him even more. Then he tossed the bloody knife onto the remains of the 10 to 12 year old girl that just attacked him. He turned his attention back to the carnage, and as if that was what the universe was waiting for…. the screaming resumed.

It took a kind of special man to not squirm after smashing a child into pulp. Cole however was compartmentalizing right now, worrying about what he just did was stupid, he was here for the exact same reason. It would be hypocritical of him to lead people along to kill old folks and children while his own hand will not be stained...this was nature's way of saying 'fuck you' to Cole. Not that he knew that of course, but ultimately it didn't really matter. He was important to nature, regardless of whatever universe he finds himself in, he was slowly becoming Chaos personified.

In truth this was a random occurrence. The little girl was running to go save her own mother when a random attack had flung her in Cole's direction. That was why it had not registered to Cole, because it was not an attack, there was no Malevolence to it. A huge flaw in his abilities but one he would have to deal with once he realizes it. He had reacted to the pain, but in the end it did not matter if he did the killing or it was any other of his soldiers, his hands, their hands, the kingdom's hands….all stained.

"You MONSTER!"

Someone screamed as a lance of flame came rushing towards Cole, he unceremoniously batted it out of the air as man almost eight foot tall leaps over the wall, dressed in an animal hide that looked like some sort of bear. In his hands was some sort of crystal axe that gleaming with lightning, and then there was someone else, if not for her massive breasts, Cole would have thought that it was another man in the air.

The giant woman had a pitch black axe in her own hand that was ablaze with flames, Cole immediately recognized her as the voice that just threw a lance of flame at him. Seems like these two are some sort of forward scout or what not… they got here ahead of the rest of the bandits, and just in time for them to watch Cole smash their niece into mush. Then again Cole did not know that, and it did not matter.

To these people he was a villain, but they were bandits going about causing anarchy and pain in the areas that they strike and the people that have fell victim to them. In the end they were all monsters here and no one had the right to any sort of moral high ground. Cole shifted his body to the side, evading the crashing crystal axe.

Black Malakai flashed out into a guard as Cole met the black axe blow for blow and he was surprisingly brought down to his knees from the force of the clash. He had underestimated his opponents. The man with the crystal axe grinned, happy about the obvious overpowering of what was the commander of an invasive force, it meant it would be easy mopping up the rest of the small fries.

Then Cole debunked that Theory as he got back up, holding black Malakai in a reverse grip with just one hand as he held back the Bear bandit, without even a look of strain on his face. Almost simultaneously the eyes of both bandits widened in shock as they swiftly turned around and attempted to escape, not even giving bothering to give the rest of their family a second glance. It shocked Cole, then they shocked him again by turning back and flinging their axes at him.

It was annoying, these guys were operating at speeds Cole could not reach normally, not without a little boost. But thankfully, Cole had all sorts of those things. He raised a concave dome of [Gravity] that flung the axes into the night sky. Both axes blazed and vanished as both bandits jumped at him, their fists blazing with flame and crackling with lightning.

Cole slashed outwards, Chaos coating his blade as he used [Black Cut] the attack smashed into their fists, and for a moment it looked they were at a stalemate before the skill ran through its duration as they both stumbled forwards their axes reappearing in their hands as they attacked him once again, sweeping from the top and the bottom.

Cole used a tandem of Telekinesis and [Gravity] to hold back their attacks, looks like these two would be a nice challenge…..Cole would never admit it to anyone, but he was really looking forward to this fight. He and everyone else that was watching.
