The commander's replacement did not take too long to get to the camp, in fact said person was already in the camp was was the direct underling to the commander himself. Cole was sure there was some sort of story to it, but he did not particularly care. He had a mission to carry pout and hopefully this one turns out a lot better than the previous ones.

Either way, some more killings had to be done, and Cole was more than happy to lead the charge over that. He need the extra stats and no one seemed particularly inclined to search for or relate with the soldiers loyal to the now deceased commander. So when one of them had managed to run for Cole's grasp and burst out into the middle of the camp, screaming and crying for help, no one lifted a finger as Cole killed him, right in the middle of the camp.

After that a separate area of the forest was cleared for Cole where he spent four days just studying. Apparently, the High Guild Lord wanted to show a bit of sincerity to their deal. Whatever the Militia had on Animechs, which frankly speaking was just training the soldiers that pilot them was given to Cole. He found the subject really fascinating. It was on the fifth day the 30 man team that he was promised arrived, along with their first mission.

Cole however left it closed for the first day, reviewing what he had learned. The Animechs were neither machine, neither were they living. Instead they were somewhat in the middle, a spiritual existence giving physical form and a chance to grow as trans-formative machines. And while it wasn't a complete transformer rip off, Cole still felt it was particularly close.

The Animechs were the instincts and powers of an animal in a 15 foot humanoid machine being piloted by the mind and body of an individual. A bond is shared between Animech and Pilot, facilitating intense growth in multiple ways for both pilot and mech. It was a symbiotic relationship that can be tailored based on what sort of essence the mech is fed. There was a lot of technical mumbo jumbo that Cole couldn't understand but the basic gist of it is this.

The Mechs are born from something called a Mechanoid core, which probably had something to do with the fact that his star ship transformed into a mechanical robot Direwolf in the second floor….a wolf called a Mechanoid Direwolf King. So probably they were similar or at least had similar origins. Cole had a crazy idea in his head, he was not exactly sure How Morgan would translate in reality if he has the Direwolf, the starship and Morgan in his normal AI form all in the same space. The Artificial Intelligence has been able to exist in multiple forms thanks to the fact that AI helpers in games were common, at the very least they could help keep track of certain events and spawning points and advanced gaming and skill calculations.

Never the less, Cole was hoping the Animech would be Morgan's fourth form of existence. He had no idea where he was going with it, but, his guts were telling him to do so, and this was also a part of the reason why he was so drawn to the Animechs from the very first time he had laid eyes on them. They reminded him of Morgan.

Either way after having made sure he understood everything from the information packet the militia had given, he put in a request to have training drones delivered to the camp. Cole intended to train every single last one of the 30 people that were assigned to him to be Animech capable. Of course his request was denied, but that did not stop Cole.

He introduced himself to the thirty man team by proceeding to beat all of them to within an inch of their lives. Then he healed them and repeated the same thing three more times. Then he kept up with that routine for the first week, improving combat and team coordination.

They were supposed to be soldiers, but Cole was turning them into something that was just so much more than what they were supposed to be. It was after the first week that Cole decided to see what this first mission has to be about. None of the people were nearly as trained as he wanted them to be.

But by this point they were sufficiently traumatized and afraid of Cole, so it was quite easy to get them all in to formation. But Cole was being very business like about everything, he kept all 30 people at arms length from him, be they denizens or aspirants, and he squashed every form of conflict that would arise between the locals and the aspirants.

Ultimately in a little under the week, there was a sense of unity among the 30 man team that was dynamic and completely unexpected within the army camp, and this was because they were all banded under the banner of their shared hatred and fear of Cole. The most powerful man in his universe….he lived up to that name…..as well as his others, most notably the one where people have referred to him as a monster.

They hated him, but there was also an intense amount of respect going around. And it was that charisma that was able to bring them all under his full control. So when he found out that their mission was to 'Wipe out' a strategic bandit stronghold that was actually being sponsored by one of the guild lords, everyone fell in line, even though at that point Cole knew, after reading the secret letter in the mission briefing.

They were going to cull a bandit stronghold…..but there would be no bandits there, at least not much. Instead they would put to the sword every man, woman and child there and torch the place to the ground while the bandits raid and harass other lords territories. In the political adventurer's guild vs Adventurer's guild, Vs Craftsman guild vs craftsman guild, vs the Kingdom war that is going on this floor….one side just gained the ultimate weapon, and they were about to use it.
