Cole walked besides his father while his mother and sister in law walked ahead on both sides of Tehila, hushed whispers being shared between the two women while the kids ran around joyful? It baffled Cole, he could not for the life of him understand how they could be so free.
The twins were six years old. Not young, but still old enough to feel the absence of their father seeing as they had been really attached to him. But still they have been free…. almost completely not bothered by the events that their reality has been going through. In fact it only seemed to feel them with wonder.
Their Uncle and aunt were real life superheroes, it was a novelty, but Cole was envious none the less. To be so young and free of worries, it is definitely a man's closest wish. Cole chuckled as he remembered a rather popular saying among his people. 'Adulthood Na Scam!' just one big fat lie and mess of responsibilities and heartache. But this was life and no one had a choice but to live it, and in any manner they bloody see fit.
"If you glare at the twins any harder Cole they'll explode or something. They're safe, and with what the Matriarch just did, they not just safe, they are completely cut off from the influence of the Night family. A chance to start afresh, to do better, though I doubt the rest of the family will let that happen, taking you and your promise of sanctuary away, would leave them without the family's biggest weapon…..Your name." Henry said as patted the back of his confused son.
"My name?"
"My god Tehila was right, you don't give a shit about anything else other than this game do you? This chase for power that needs to see you at the top in order to protect our family. Perhaps if you paid a little more attention to your surroundings you would noticed that the Night Family has been using the weight of your name and fame to swallow territories and make very aggressive money moves.
Trouble is brewing on the streets of Abuja right now because the Night Family gobbled up way too much than they should have. No one could make a move because you were untouchable, but after the Fiasco in London with the world council and the talks that have been going round about you being on the outs with the Night Family, all bets were off. It meant everyone and their sister that the family has provoked in this last three months would all be coming for them. Without you here…..they're doomed-"

A powerful and concussive blast threw Cole and his father forwards, all of them crashing to the ground and into the plant life in the garden they were taking a stroll in. The Conclave had gone off for a short break, who would have thought something would happen. Even in the haze of the explosion with his ears still ringing Cole could hear the sounds of gunfire going off as screams filled the Night family estate.
Cole growled as he stood up, his body rippling as his armor was equipped almost immediately, Methuselah held in his left hand and Black Malakai in his right. Using Methuselah healing skills he made sure everyone was fine before he turned in the direction of the screams.
"We have to cut through the main building to get to the garage, we can run into the woods, but I can hear gun fire coming from that direction to. So we have to try and get the kids the old fashion way, say Dad you still have your fortieth birthday present sequestered away in that hidden garage room?" Cole asked as he hung Methuselah behind him, and summoned Azazel in its hand cannon form while he held Black Malakai at the ready, eyes scanning for the enemy he knew was coming.
"As a matter of fact I still do. If we can get to it, getting out of here and turning the tides of this stupid assault should be easy." Cole nodded but Tehila had to cut in.
"Whoever these people are Cole they're not just common thugs. They're using artillery shells, heavy firepower and it was aimed in our direction. They came here with a plan and contingencies for your abilities. This is not the other universe, you are not invisible here, so do be careful. don't get carried away, we need an exit not to decimate them all….their day will come, whoever the fuck they are, but for now…..we need to get the kids out of here."
He knew what she meant, and just in time too as he released a blast of [Gravity] intercepting the bevy of bullets that were fired in his direction. He raised the hand cannon and fired, watching the blazing orb of energy smash into and through the chest of of the attackers to get to the one behind.
The cannon was change to a revolve in the next second and Cole fired off an [Obsidian Shot] a blaze of dark glass like rock materials burning at extreme temperatures rushed out and swallowed the remaining three shooters from the five that had just attacked them. Cole grunted as he turned to his family.
"You guys should stay close to me, if you see anything weird you tell me first, don't act, just tell me. My perception here is not as strong but if we stick together you guys will be safe. I cant use my full power for fear getting others caught in the collateral damage, plus my energy is finite. Let ,me use it to protect you guys. And Delarosa…..come out, it's time to play."
Dark shadows spilled out of Cole as Delarosa materialized besides him.
"What are your orders master?"
"I take it you have marked everyone on the estate or rather every member of my family and trusted staff. As for the others…..if they're holding a gun and pointing at my family…..kill them All!"
