Cole sniffed as the smell of smoke and forests filled the air, how that was possible, Cole had no idea. But the helicopter he was in was more military than commercial, so it was larger and did not have windows that he would have been able to use in order to look outside. This was or rather is a beast of a machine.

The chopper touched down softly as Cole got up, Eze right behind him along with his aunt and brother and the rest of the aspirants that came out of Nigeria. They never got to settle their issues but that was okay as far as Cole was concerned, they could kill each other when this was all over.

Cole did not remember much of London, he was actually quite young the last time he had been here, but from the airstrip where they had landed, he could see that at least most of its outer borough were either aflame or swallowed up by a massive forest. But in the distance, well outside of the city was a massive tree, stretching for the into the heavens like a beacon.

It was protected by a dome and a massive forest, most had swallowed up the city. He was not the only one to observe this, but it was only for a few minutes before they were all led into a massive hanger. There were other aspirants here, but from what he could see the people that had showed up was only a fraction of what had been present for the meeting. Either way Cole didn't care, having this much people here was even overkill, especially with him and Eze here, and grudgingly enough….. his aunt was no pushover either.

"Fellow Aspirants! I am General Edward Worthington. I, the people and the Royal family of great Britain welcome and thank you all. Coming to our aid is not something we will ever be able to forget. From here one out each of you would be split and attached to small battalions dealing with the multiple pockets of elves still encroaching the city. We will take the battle to them on different fronts utilizing you skills and secret weapon to take back our city…. if you have any questions or need to relay any information. There are dedicated military personnel around that can help. So…..let's get on with it."

After that it was a furry of activities as they were all allocated to small pockets of soldiers. For some reason, well not much of a reason but Cole was actively, their efforts were not even subtle enough, but he was separated from Eze and kept somewhere close enough that should he chose to wander, his aunt was not too far away from with her own company. Cole chuckled to himself, looks like the world council was making moves.

But he wouldn't let it bother him though, this was not what he was here for as far as he was concerned so he would not let it bother him, any thing other than total focus on his part could prove fatal not just for him, but for anyone else who was around. There were uniform as and body armor being passed, but for Cole it was simply a matter of just calling his out from his inventory and equipping it.

There was a lot more energy on earth now, even here in London with the massive forest having swallowed half the city. Cole knew what was happening, he had asked Morgan to analyze the city and see what he could dig up from public records and any classified departments that he could hack into.

The AI was a personal one and not something that could go up against the super AI that would be protecting a country's secrets. But Morgan had been to the other universe with Cole. And while Cole has not said anything about it, he knew the AI had changed. It could do things way beyond its own parameters, for now he was keeping it close to his chest, after all this was an AI that lived inside his skull and all of his house/appliances. Even he was worried about some artificial intelligence apocalypse.

Either way, what he had found out, that the military here had not told anybody; was that the elves were terraforming London. The trees and their roots, or rather, all of the vegetation within the forest was just an offshoot of the massive tree outside the city. The roots had grown other much smaller trees, vines, flowers, grass, whatever you want to call it cross the city, ever spreading and turning it into an environment that was unfit for human habitation.

But more than that, it was quite fit for the elves, in fact according to reports and the information that he had gained access to, the elves thrived among the massive roots, twisting branches and dense foliage. And they were all well trained and know how to utilize the terrain to the best of their advantage. And with the massive tree having and a barrier that nothing could get through, except of course that things is considered living.

Never the less that made it such that only a direct assault on the tree would work, so they had to go through the jungle/forest or whatever the fuck this shit was, deal with all the elves on the way, then cross into the dome and get to the tree where the dungeon was waiting. And then they had to deal with the dungeon, but then again that was a problem only for those aspirants that would be able to make it there.

It might seem simple, but nothing ever really is simple, not in life. There could be traps along the way, or worse. But Cole could not accurately envision anything that could be worse, perhaps an entity on the level of Deraka would be waiting for them, that would mean they were all wasting their time and they would all die a rather grisly death. But two could play the game, because it did not matter to Cole what was happening. He was getting that dungeon, and if there was a Deraka level danger, then Deraka would have the pleasure of visiting earth for the very first time.
